Ethnic bigot posts. GEJ was actually responsible for this mess, he didnt save money in time of plenty, now when time of scarcity came due to oil price fall, and people are here blaming buhari. GEJ inherited strong economy built by OBJ, the economy started nose-diving during Yar Adua era when he bowed to pressure to share savings made by OBJ, GEJ continued the sharing spree, not only that lootery became national culture under him, and the rest was distributed during 2015 election. Buhari came and inherited liabilities of a sinking ship. Even Ngozi, the minister of finance told GEJ of the need to save, but she was turned down, no one listened. I am not surprised that most people posting here are as half-baked as GEJ, graduates who have no substance. I recommend for the GEJ e-warrior here to check out how many factories folded up under GEJ watch, maybe you will realize there is no magic wand anyone to save the current situation. Dollar started fallen under GEJ,they started borrowing to pay salary, so what is new here, other than ethnic sentiment which is the main reason this country sliding to hopelessness. Thieves are no more thieves, the right has become wrong, all because of ethnic sentiments.

Since all of you assumes politicians are devil incarnate and cannot never be a practicing Christian, you should at least rejoice that you have a man of God as one of your leaders this time around rather than abuse your right on the Internet again. You guys are always whining online about Nigeria, no light, water, bad roads corruption, and many more, yet when you see Christian in politics, you abuse and discourage rather than appreciating them, little wonder your destinies are been raped in broad daylight by your dare devil politicians, because you oppose those who at least have the fear of God to help you. You will rather prefer devil ruling you than a pastor.

Jesus ran away to avoid been made king because he his purpose and assignment was not compactible neither does he have allocated the time for such purposes. But did David, Daniel, Esther, Joseph etc ran away? Are these not prophets of God? Didnt they impacted their generation positively?

I am not surprised, since most of you abusers are according to the bible, children in whom there is no God. That is why your devil incarnate politicians have taken away your pride and dignity. Most of you should be gainfully employed but that is not the case, so you have all the time wasting away your lives typing rubbish on the Internet.

God bless you for this piece. These ignorant people think Europe did not go thru dictatorship before rule of law. Let them ask the French about their revolution. In a situation like this, it may even be necessary to spill blood of looters to establish sanity in the land. These people so much believe their money can buy justice any day. Most of us still don't know that these lawyers crying rule of law are like the genius helping criminal geniuses to evade justice to collected hat they called legal fees, which is more or less proceeds of looting.

To the Rule of Law apostle, most of you have been brainwashed by so many civil society groups receiving foreign funding to shout rule of law and the lawyers who depended on the rule of law to satisfy their clients looting and get paid with fat legal fees.

Do you people understand rule of law more than the Americans? Why do they have Guatamano prison? Some of you may be thinking I am illiterate on this subject just to castigate me, pls note that I am a political scientist, and I know more about rule of law than some of you. I also know that, when there is conflict of arms as some like Kanu is preaching, the first casualty is the law. There has always been a precarious balance btw law and real politic. That has always been a departure point between political scientist and the lawyers. It is the duty of the president to ensure anyone who works to liquidate Nigeria receive a just recompense. It is also his duty to ensure they didn't hide under the technicality of the law to insult our common sensibilities. By the way, the mere fact that you have bail for one offense does not make you immune to arrest on other offense, there is so much ignorance about in Nigeria. Will any civilized country allows you to come in without passport? That is a threat to national security, and for the sake of national security anybody can be held under special circumstances to protect others. By Kanu action, can you buy back this that have lost their lives? By Dasuki actions, do you know how many widow and orphans out their in the IDP Camps or soldiers that have lost their lives? Some body is now seeing doctors in London for what. Are we senseless or we are just full of hatred for a government that want to help us from our friendly and brotherly looters.

By the way, how many of you big mouth out there will be given $15 million bribe and you wil not accept it and let criminal have their way? This is a man that made the first effort to fight corruption and he actually succeeded. You say he was a pawn in Objs hands, were the people Ribadu prosecuted not corrupt, or because they have ill gotten money to bribe the media to be shouting political persecution means that they cannot be probed. Nigerians like to live in hypocrisy, if he didn't fight corruption like Lamorde, you will blame him, if he fights as Ribadu did, you will say they are using him to witch hunt political enemies. Who cares whether political enemy or friend, once you are corrupt, you should be prosecuted, even if it means starting from the enemies of the present government. Depraved minds.

This write is so true that my Igbo bro cannot stomach it. Come to think of it, why do Igbo always want to take SS with them. The answer is GREED AND SELFISHNESS. They know their chance of survival is slime with SS out side their Biafra. They covet the sea, the oil, and other natural resources. It the SS made the mistake of going with the BIG MOUTH PEOPLE, they will become second class citizen, In fact, Nigeria will be heaven for them in comparison.

Truly, why is Yoruba not claiming Edo and Delta, despite obvious similarities in culture and language? Because Yoruba do not need Edo and delta to compliment their inadequcies, but Igbo need SS or they will be the poorest country in the world, not because they can't work and make it, but because everybody will leave and go search for greener pastures elsewhere.

Politics / Buhari/apc Wake Up: 2019 Campaign Has Commenced In 2 Wks Of Your Presidency by SegzyJoe(m): 12:14pm On Jun 10, 2015
The event of at the National Assembly yesterday was a master stroke by PDP dominated SS/SE, and a wake up call for Buhari and APC.
By any political analysis, the event of yesterday was an humiliation to APC, and they need to know that why they have won the battle by defeating the incumbent, they have not won the war.

First, Buhari need a crash course in political strategy, this shouldn't be difficult as he can leverage on his military strategy experience. It is normal that when a president comes to power, diverse interests will want to outwit themselves in competing for influence, it not unusual when OBJ left, these interest told Yar Adua to do away with obj, likewise, the same interest causes disharmony btw obj and Goodluck, the rest is history. Right now, some interests are putting pressure on Buhari to stay clear of Tinubu type of politics, but the reality is that Buhari need Tinubu now more than ever. It is the Tinubu type of politics that transform ACN from a one gov state to six gov states, which make merger a viable option. The Tinubu brand of politics may be crude and too raw for Buhari, but it is the brand that is suitable for Nigeria until we move into a saner system. It is this brand of politics that ACN used to tackle PDP match for match. It was this brand of politics that provided the platform under which Buhari now stands.

Buhari need to know that he represents the hope and aspirations of Nigeria for change and better life. The same elites interest group who have made it impossible for him to emerge president after 3 attempts are now trying to snatch victory from the jaw of defeat. Buhari need to wake up and use people who are well schooled in our brand of politics to take the lead where necessary, while he is still maintaining his impeccable standing. Any attempt to allow this kind of thing to happen again will ruin his 2nd term and APC chances in next election.

The Saraki victory yesterday was a blow to Buhari presidency. For those of us who knows Saraki, the senate presidency is a means to an end, the end goal is the Nigeria presidency. Saraki ambition has never been better off than now, even if APC restrategize, they cannot impeach him now or else, the senate presidency can go to Pdp as Mark and Ekweremadu are waiting in the wings.

Like Tambuwal, Saraki having been voted by 49 PDP senators and only 7 APC senators is now PDP in spirit while APC in body. This is a replay of Tambuwal master stroke that culminated in his political victory as Gov of Sokoto now. Right now Saraki is the big guy of PDP. He is a man driven by ambition and selfish interest, he fell out with Jonathan because he didn't get Jonathan support for the senate president, the opportunity came when new PDP staged a walkout into APC, he was just bidding his time, today he has seized the opportunity of APC momentary loss of concentration. The only task Saraki has now is to balance PDP/APC interest groups in the house till 2019 when he will challenge Buhari under the platform of Pdp. PDP will have now no choice than to field him in 2019, because he would be their only hope then as the senate president. Saraki is strictly the presidency, which he can't get under APC platform in 2019, but PDP will not mind him as he is already part of them.

If Buhari decided to fight corruption as he promised, then corruption will fight back, the only platform for corruption to fight back is through PDP who has now gotten a foothold in the senate. Saraki himself has a case in court over Society Generale Bank he mismanaged. In essence, all the big money corporate and corrupt PDP elitist will rally round Saraki to challenge Buhari. Their success in this pursuit is directly proportional to how much they are able to frustrate Buhari APC government, and how much they can prevent him from delivering on his campaign promises to Nigeria. The expectation of Nigeria is so high on Buhari because of his antecedent that he is imcurruptible and he will fight corruption which everyone agreed is the main problem in Nigeria. In other words, the Saraki cacus in the senate can always block policies for reform, refusal to confirm technocrat who will not compromise. In short Saraki goal to achieve his own ambition is to ensure that Nigeria high expectation from Buhari is dashed so that people will query Buhari ability to deliver dividend of democracy to Nigerians. Then when 2019 draw close, he will present himself under PDP who will be willing then to field him as their presidential candidate. His leaving APC will split APC as many loyalist will go with him, this is in addition to other groups who would feel sidelined by APC.

Money to finance the campaign will not be an issue then, because all the big money who may have been delt with by Efcc then would rally round him, not only that the 13 PDP states controlled 54% of national allocation (mostly oil producing states). Anybody can bet this, Saraki will contest 2019 presidential election, he cannot get APC ticket, but he will get PDP tickets. They key factor of succes will then be how much, he succeeded in frustrating Buhari govt, this will go a long way on how Nigerians will respond to his candidacy in 2019.

Th Buhari/APC must wake up and fight this fight to the finish, they have the means to do this. If Buhari is trying to be Mr. Decent, I am afraid, there is nothing decent in the way politics is played here. Currently, he is trying to impress the international community that he is now born again democrat, even the opposition are capitalizing on this weakness, PDP does not need to impress anybody, but Buhari is being held captive by his many declarations. I will also advice him not to make unnecessary statement that will turn around to limit his freedom of action. For instance, he said he will not interfere with whoever emerge in the National Assembly, he is now held captive by that statement. It will not be in his interest to subdue the Tinubu group in APC as some feather weight in his camp are telling him, if anything he needs Tinubu more than ever to liquidate those that will fight him dirty, and he may not be able to fight back using the same dirty approach, a bad child has his own usefulness. The same way, some feather weight people who have no electoral value surrounded Jonathan asking him to call the bluff of Obj, where is Jonathan today, where are those feather weight people like Edwin Clark today's? In short, Buhari need Tinubu as a foot soldier now more than ever. He should also remember that if the Tinubu group pull out of APC, that is the end. If should remember that he has attempted this thing 3 times before. Tinubu is not in the class of Buhari in terms of morals, but there was harmony of interest ( to get power from pdp) that brought them together, he should not destroy Tinubu group, but just manage them to achieve his goal for Nigeria. The job of a leader is to manage diverse groups in his camp and be fare to all, or else he will jeopardize the hope for a new Nigeria.

@Kc3000
You are very wrong, it is not the Fulanis that pull this master stroke off, it is the PDP dominated SS and SE. For your information, this move has greatly undermined Buhari presidency and change mantra. Sarahi is elitist and represent the interest of those that have put Nigerians in bondage over the years.

The goal of Saraki is not the Senate Presidency, rather the presidency of Nigeria. Now he is APC in the flesh but PDP in the spirit. He is now PDP topmost guy, hence the goal is to wither away Buharis goodwill by making change impossible and make Nigerians dissilusioned hence his emergence as PDP candidates in 2019 just what Tambuwal did. He will remain APC to the election time before decamp, and being PDP only hope they will support him to remove Buhari.

Politics / Re: Igbo Lagos Residents And Traders Moblise For Agbaje by SegzyJoe(m): 4:00pm On Apr 05, 2015
Interesting, Igbos are flexing their muscle in Yorubaland. How could a people be so politically naive? They must really be thinking their population could determine the outcome of guber election Lagos. No wonder they thought their weight will determine the outcome of the presidential election. Even after their gross political and strategic miscalculation over GEJ, they are still embarking on another trip to failure.

They are so naive to the extent that even, if their weight in Lagos could determine the outcome in favour of Jimi Agbaje, what would be the fall out of traveling such a path among their host population of Yoruba people in Lagos. It is only Igbos that think this way, Hausa or Yoruba will never choose a path hostile to their host community. There is a strategic error in Igbo political thinking for them to think that being antagonistic to your host population is a path to victory. Even, if such victory is assured at the polls, it is not a victory at all, because hostility of the host community will be detrimental to Igbo business interest in Lagos. It is like winning against your boss or against your landlord. Anybody that consider winning against his boss or landlord a thing of fun is naive to say the least.

The question again is , why must Igbo be embarking on a path that will put their strategic interest in jeopardy? Is hatred for Yorubas or rivalry. Sincerely, I am a Yoruba, and I have never seen Igbo as competitors because all my friends are Igbos, but when it comes to politics, I always see a different line of thought which I will say is highly not strategic and emotional. I have even heard arguments, how Igbo population is more than Yorubas in Lagos State and how Igbos owned Lagos, yet during the ensuing crisis after June 12 1993, more than 80% of Igbo population ran away for Yam festival. It so so funny. I hope Igbo political strategist will chart a new political path that will not compromise the interest of their kinsmen in political landscape called Nigeria, as they just done in 2015 presidential elections.

Politics / Re: Man Of The Year: Jega Vs Tinubu by SegzyJoe(m): 6:22am On Apr 01, 2015
I think both can share the man of the year award if there is anything like that, because both are genus in their own right. But I think Jegas job is simple and straight forward-discipline and uprightness will get it done, but Tinubus own requires master piece of statecraft mixed with political dexterity.

I commend him for his humility to apologize to Nigerians, he actually embarrassed us in the eyes of the world. Personally, I accepted his apology.
Politics / Re: What Have You Learnt From 2015 Presidential Election? by SegzyJoe(m): 12:13am On Mar 31, 2015
In addition to the already stated lessons, I also learnt that you don't give up trying in life. At a time GMBH gave up after the 2011 election, he said he would not seek re- election again, but thank God he listen to advise and now the out come is clear.

Again, initially, he was rigid and not very amenable to change, but thereafter, he realized he needs to change to work with other, then his campaign slogan became CHANGE, now change is here.

Everyone has his own time, GMBH time is here, hope he also learn from the incumbent.
