I've been browsing with 0809ja since MTN went kaput. My only problem is I cant download with 0809ja.

Does anyone here know how to download with it ?

Anambra is a big place. I think kidnapping is more rampant in the major cities ( Onitsha, Nnewi, Awka etc) than in the interior villages so I think to a large extent your safety depends on where you'll actually be staying.
