Romance › Re: A Letter To Single Guys by SenatorJames(m): 9:41pm On Oct 22, 2014 |
kentozybee: A Letter To Single Men Hey guys, how are you doing? How has life fared with you lately?
The hustle and bustle of becoming a man ain't an easy job, I must confess! But with God and diligence in fulfilling purpose, we'll get there.
I write this letter to you to point out some things which you ought to know before marriage or as you continue in that relationship.
This letter is strictly for men, not boys or players. First concerning how you treat ladies. I know quite alright that ladies are emotional only few are not. Please, don't take advantage of that and inflict emotional pain on them.
If you know she's not going to be your wife, there’s no point promising her heaven and earth just to get her in bed. If you think you're smart, your smartness cannot prevent the nemesis or daring consequences that would one day catch up with you.
It's better you avoid the consequences of an action because of its few minutes pleasure than to face its agony and regrets in the near future. What are you doing about your life and future? I know it's trendy to go clubbing and indulge in all youthful exuberance. See, life doesn't go on a stretch forever and every time wasted cannot be recovered.
If at age 30 or close to it, you haven't define your life or you're still depending on friends, family or relatives, you need to work on yourself.
Where do you put God in your life? Consider God in the time of your youth before it's too late. Many of you who turned back on God will someday run back to Him for help. If you cannot dance to the devil's music, it's better you start learning God's steps. Hear this guys, love isn't sex! Don't tell a lady to prove her love to you because you want to have a 'taste' of her. I know everyone is going haywire with premarital sex but you can choose to abstain.
Apart from it being sin against God, it will make you vulnerable to STDs and some problems 'rubber' cannot prevent. It doesn't matter if she calls you names if you choose to abstain, or you become an object of mockery amongst your friends, run for your dear life.
Think about your future and life hereafter. Don't give your strength to strange women, preserve it for your wife.
Have you discovered your purpose in life? That very reason why God has created you? Jumping from one lady to another without discovering your purpose on earth will make you miserable and waste away in life.
Know your purpose in life and be on track to attain it's fulfillment before you think of going into a relationship. It's not difficult, it would only prevent you from distraction.
Watch the company of friends you keep. Are they contributing positively to your life or they are emptying you of virtues and opportunities? It's not a must you hang out with friends if you do not benefit from them. You can stand alone with God and make lasting impact than to keep dozens of friends with no footprints in the sand of time.
Man up guys! Build your financial, spiritual, mental and emotional life. Only a crazy man beats a woman even if she pushed you to the wall. There is a button of patience to press to control your anger. Work on your mental development. Read good books to acquire knowledge and skill. Get intimate with God so that your wife wouldn't become a victim of false prophets or you become a spiritual babe in handling matters of life at the homefront.
My guy, you're going to be a father someday. Don't do the things you wouldn't be proud of your son to emulate or would want anyone to do to your daughter.
If you wouldn't want to leave a bad legacy for your unborn children, don't tread the path now. I'd have love to tell you more but I believe you know the importance of life and time and I'm constrained due to space.
Don't waste away chasing every Tom, Dick and Harry for sex. Conserve your energies and channel it into a more productive cause in life. I hope the few wise ones would treasure this letter, share it or send it to a friend.
Thank you for your anticipated response as you make amends in areas where necessary. God bless you for this balance write-up. |

DNDROID: how many times have you been married dude? Better still, ask him does he knows the meaning of marriage? @topic, it depends on the stage of life someone is. Two people that meet as an undergraduate can court for like 5 or 6 years, whereas two working class that are ready for marriage may not stay long in courtship. What I can advice is that *someone must be satisfy with the relationship before taking the giant step. *don't go into marriage out of desperation or pressure. |

As a former unionist, this is what i termed "Excessiveness of Student Unionism in Nigeria". they can only challenge him from gaining the party's primary ticket as a student-politician, or challenge him at the poll. at least there are students in Rivers state.
Though i understood their plight, but they are doing it in a wrong way. This will just make them look like a faction of a political party. |

MzMariah: When they say a man cheats it even sounds OK to the ears compared to when you hear that a woman is cheating on her husband. Even if he forgives her touching her will be a very big problem. Thank God this is coming from a lady. Please don't join the group of girls claiming equal right with men in cheating, no matter the civilization, women infidelity is worse than when men cheat. I pray God will give us our own loving and faithful partner. |

There are now countries with notable female presidents and Nigeria has women who are deputy governors and some now aspiring to be governors. LMAyedun: 1.The Sadist - Most students are scared of him. He comes to class, threatens everyone, you rarely see him smile, always serious with a straight face. He never gives an 'A' and when result comes out, his courses are always mass failure. He is usually the most hated lecturer.
2.The comedian - He is more or less a stand-up comedian. Always lively, students look forward to his laugher-filled lectures but once taken for granted, he can be shocking. He is usually stingy with marks/grades.
3.The Student lecturers - Also known as Assistant lecturers. They usually start as errand boys to some top lecturers in the department, they mark exam scripts, invigilate during tests & exams and later graduate to helping the lecturers with some of their lectures. They are usually hyperactive, aggressive and proud which usually results into a clash with the students.
4.The Crazy Lecturer - He rarely smiles, does things in an unusual manner including ways of speaking(with big grammar like Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon), a funny dress sense(with long bling-bling chains like Ayo Oritsejafor). He is always REAL and serious, doesn't care what his students feels or think about him, highly unpredictable and lectures for 3/4hrs until the students complains.
5.The Fatherly Lecturer - He is always matured, homely, approachable, and friendly. He takes his time to extensively teach his students in such a way that once you fail his course, you know that you truly deserve to fail. He is students' favourite.
6.The Lazy Lecturer - He comes to class twice in a semester(One, for course introduction & later, for revision, a week to Exams). He doesn't lecture nor teach, he only comes to read out loud while the students listen. He doesn't care if you understand or not, and 15 or 20mins, he is done for the day's lecture.
7.The 'Runs' lecturer - He comes to class, gives shabby lectures and drop his mobile digits or his errand boy's digits(The coded students knows what to do). #5k for 'C', #8k for 'B' and #10k for 'A' depending on the importance or Unit of the course.
8.The Departmental dog - Woman wrapper. He takes advantage of any vulnerable female student, it doesn't matter how young she is, the sex addict just want to get laid at the slightest opportunity. Hide your babe, sister, daughter from him.
9.The story teller - 90% of his lecture is the story about his days in the University and how serious/dedicated they were those days + how he still consult his 1973 lecture notebook. He talks about how bad the Gov't and the school management is, especially if he is an ardent ASUU member. He usually receive at least 10 phone calls within a lecture.
10a.The Religion fanatic (Daddy G.O) - This type of lecturer comes to class to chip in the Gospel within his lecture, inviting the entire class to his church & mid week programmes. He is always gentle & Godly.
10b.The Religion fanatic (Mallam) - He comes to class and usually separates the female students from the male students before his lecture begins. He looks gentle and you don't need to be told before you know he is a muslim. Take him for granted and you will pay dearly for it.
You are free to add yours what of those that give their PhD research problem as assignment to students. Nigeria Lecturers, using their students brain since 1820 |
Politics › Re: Onyebuchi Emerges Ebonyi PDP Governorship Consensus Candidate by SenatorJames(m): 5:54am On Oct 12, 2014 |
r33d: Health Minister, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu was on Tuesday adopted by the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) alongside other major stakeholders of the party from the three geo-political zones of Ebonyi State as the consensus governorship candidate of the party ahead of next year’s general election.
Prof. Chukwu’s endorsement followed a closed door stakeholders’ meeting of Ebonyi North and Central senatorial zones convened by the leader of the party, Governor Martin Elechi at the Government House, Abakaliki.
The meeting lasted more than two hours according to a source at the meeting.
The endorsement of the former Chief Medical Director of Ebonyi State University Teaching Hospital, laid to rest the speculation of a possible consensus candidate of the party in the 2015 election.
SOURCE: http://leadership.ng/news/386302/onyebuchi-emerges-ebonyi-pdp-governorship-consensus-candidate congratulation to him. If I don't know him before, what he did as minister in curbing Ebola virus presented him as a vibrant man. If the ruling PDP can be presenting people of formidable character like this, Nigeria would have been better than this. |

2) The Pen Borrowers: They are always in the bank, common pen dey won't have. This people are very dangerous, once u borrow them the pen, u might find it difficult to identify them, At a bank in #Nigeria, once someone tells u "can I have ur pen" Believe me, that is the last time u will see that Pen.
3)The I Dey Your Back Team: Immediately they enter the bank, even before taking d slips(withdrawal or deposit) all they do is to know the last person and u hear them saying,i am @ ur back. if care is not taking 8people can tell u "I dey ur back",then at the end of the day, they cause confusion (na me dey hin back , I don't tell am, I was here before u blah blah)
4) The No protocol team: These kind of people don't obey the first come ,first serve slogan, they are mouthed in the bank, immediately they come in, they just walk up to the cashier or manager,he ask them to sit down and within 5 mins they have completed there transactions while u still dey dere dey look like mumu for queue.(God punish devil)

6)The slip wasters : These kind of people can waste slip for africa,to fill the withdrawal slip or deposit slip na jamb questions, u see them canceling, tearing ,squeezing and taking another one. To write common 3780 naira in words na gobe. Even the so called undergraduates are found wanting in this scenario.
7) The exile men: These people usually behave like dem no dey this world since 2 years, they will always be asking for today's date, even after telling them the correct date, they will ask someone else again. I tire for these people

BankoleNco: Hey guys, I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I'd go ahead and post here as it is related to health (depression). Well, I don't want to bore you with long sermon-esque writings, so I'd skip the fancy stuff and go straight to the point. I'd be turning 30 mid next year and its really eating me up! I feel depressed and old! Its been giving me sleepless nights and middle of the night insomnia I wake up 4.00 am for no reason nowadays and just stare at the ceiling lost in thought and scared as hell with thoughts of being in the twilight of my youth, knowing I'd have to get married pretty soon, just 10 years away from 40, no more clubbing, no more spontaneous Saturday drives. The worst part is I spent MOST of my teenage and youth life in self development and didn't have time to indulge in some most of the activities attached to youthful exuberance. Its paid off, yes! But, I AM DEPRESSED right now! Did any of you guys currently 30 and above experience same? Would really help if someone said something. *sigh* Just relax. from your analysis, I think you are feeling depress for the fear of tomorrow, let tomorrow take care of its self. You can even achieve more within the next 10 years before you turn 40. |
