Bleh. Maybe you should stay a bit longer before making judgments about people , but welcome! wink
Christianity EtcRe: This Ghost Paid My Transport Fare by Seun(mod): 6:16pm On Sep 10, 2006
I have so many points, but leketoye doesn't want to examine them lest we make his ghost disappear.

Secondly, there are no "facts" in the story, just leketoye's interpreted reporting which is not neutral because he wants to believe that the girl he met was a ghost. Memories can be corrupted when one is not neutral.

If he came in with the facts and nothing but the facts alone and asked the house to help him to look for explanations, this thread might have been more useful. Instead, he just wants us to agree with his story.

As this is a discussion forum, you shouldn't be surprised that I'm discussing your story.

- Why do you think the ghost decided to take JAMB?
- Why did she touch you intimately?
- If she wanted to sleep with you, then fail to check you later?
- Why did she drop a correct name with you? SUrely that defeats her aim right?

If you are a Christian, it may interest you to know that the bible doesn't support your story. wink

Wow, although even if he's third class from UNIBEN, he probably won't hire a second class graduate!

What course did he study?

If she had been dead for 2 or 3 years, does it mean she wrote the exam as a ghost?
Why is a ghost writing JAMB?

the description matched perfectly
What description? "A very beautiful girl" is all you told us and I have met very many of such.

1. the name matched
Identity theft is a possible explanation (if you're not fibbing).

3. The home address she gave me was correct except that she changed the house number
Did you visit the the 'incorrect' address she gave you to see if someone who looks like her lives there? What if it's a prank by the girl to give you a wrong name and address in order to mislead you? That would explain her refusal to be escorted home. Perhaps she didn't enjoy the date as much as you did?

Christianity EtcRe: This Ghost Paid My Transport Fare by Seun(mod): 4:51pm On Sep 10, 2006
How did they know that the girl you saw was the same girl the others were looking for? Did you take her picture and show it to them, or was it the name that was the same? A general description like "a dark girl" means nothing!

Many people run away from home because they are being mistreated. This girl may have done the same. If they do not have her body, the fact that you saw her at the JAMB office means she probably just ran away. Duh!
Christianity EtcRe: Second Coming Of Jesus: Almost 2000 Years Late? by Seun(mod): 3:05pm On Sep 10, 2006
And what is "in the future" from your own bible translation supposed to mean?

It's not that I disagree with the aricle I posted, but you can't attack me based on its finer points.

I just want to find out what you think about the article. I'm not responsible for it.
FamilyRe: Parents: Is It Time To Spare The Rod? by Seun(mod): 2:42pm On Sep 10, 2006
Always giving your child a time-out no matter what he did ain't helping either. It will eventually give him the notion that he can get away with anything
Since when did non-violent child discipline become reduced to just "time-out"? There are so many methods you need to be aware of. Denial of privileges is probably the most versatile system, so "time out" is not the issue here. You can deny them of TV. You can deny them of unecessary snacks. You can withdraw phone privileges. Duh!

There are so many methods we refuse to even consider because of our brutality mentality:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-violent_child_discipline

If them western country wants to spare the rod, they should let a murderer, robbers go free - give them a time-out.
Isn't the prison system itself a form of "time-out"?

there is no time out in real life
There is no beating in civilized society either. If you offend against your boss, your university lecturer, your president, your husband or wife, and they are civilized, will they beat you? No. Unless of course they have beaten as kids to the point where they now think it's appropriate to go around beating people that piss them off. angry

What is bad is bad. It is not a question of degree. I can't lay a hand on a child of mine unless the offence is that such a child was caught beating someone else. Even in that scenario, beating might not be the answer.

PoliticsRe: Why Do You Think Many Nigerians Do Not Vote? by Seun(mod): 11:46am On Sep 10, 2006
Some economists have explained that voting is not a rational from the point of view of any individual - your single vote won't make any difference. So if you want your favorite candidate to win, you also need to mobilize others.

Christianity EtcRe: I Slept With A Ghost by Seun(mod): 11:32am On Sep 10, 2006
People kept claiming that children born with Sickle Cell Amenia were evil spirit children. Now sleep paralysis is equal to sleeping with a ghost or evil spirit? Shame on us and our silly superstitions!!

PoliticsRe: The Nigeria Of My Dream by Seun(mod): 9:07am On Sep 10, 2006
I don't think I have the right to dream about Nigeria because nigeria doesn't belong to me. But I can dream about the things that belong to me in Nigeria.
- I can dream about Nairaland, that it wil grow.
- I can dream about my bank account, that I'll have millions in it.
- I can dream about my future home, that it will be full of love.

The problem about dreaming about Nigeria, which belongs to none of us, is that our dreams about Nigeria will conflict with each other, which will cause fighting and political conflicts among us.

It's better to dream about the aspect of Nigeria that belongs to you. Your self, properties, money, career, etc.

Chris Okotie doesn't sound intelligent to me. He knows nothing about Nigeria's problems. He just makes the loudest noise. His ability to use long words and convoluted grammar should not be mistaken for intelligence.
