When I created this topic, I was not ready to be in my own place but now I think the time as come. But now, the requirements have changed. What I'm looking for is:
1) Security, so one can sleep at night.
2) Comfort, of a reasonable level that one can afford.
3) Economy, so I'll achieve the maximum amount of comfort with the minimum amount of money.

I'll probably have a small fridge, a small gas cooker, a small petrol generator for occasional use, a desktop or laptop PC and accesories for all my work, rechargeable power generator, mattress, a bookshelf and 3 plastic chairs in a small flat.

The flat should have a bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. Living room and latrine are optional. There should be a reliable source of running water or people I can pay to fetch water for me.

The surrounding area should have no noise or air pollution. (Crowded cities like Lagos won't do!)
