Surreptitiously done it seems (it may just be an innocent statement most likely), I actually didn’t even notice till news filtered out here from my “guyses”. Such could eventually turn out to be a deliberate bait ab initio for unsuspecting folks, a precursor to something sinister and “419ish”! Dig?
You suppose know say I go notice... grin grin grin

What does TLS mean?
TLS contact is the company in charge of document collection on behalf of UK Embassy/High Commission in Nigeria.

lol!...My same thoughts.

Do they even conduct face-to-face UK visit visa interviews at the UK Commission in Nigeria?

BTW, has the UK completed and opened their newly proposed embassy in Abuja?
Yes ooo right beside the U.S Embassy...but we still use the TLS office for documentation and all.

Make I no how to dey prepare open my ears wide
I wonder why you're worried about the consular's accent... the consular will ask you 2-3 questions and the first question most time is why did you apply for U.S Visa.... you should be more concern about your ''ties'' not accent.

Nope! Banned for LIFE! cry

We heard the consular officer correctly. They took some benefits on account of the child and absconded without paying.

Then the wife was one of those aggressive types. She raised her voice and gestured dramatically at the consular officer as if she could force the decision in her favour by her sheer power and might. All other applicants on the queue paused to watch the drama unfold. It was really a terrible sight to behold. The consular officer was visibly annoyed and we were just behind them.

Our travel intentions were very legitimate but we did not even want to risk suffering transferred aggression so we left the queue to ease ourselves at that point and we did not come back until we had finished singing like 2 or 3 Sacred Songs and Solos in the toilet by which time we were sure that we won't be assigned to the same upset consular officer. The actions of that couple were truly fraudulent and they may never have been discovered if their Dropbox application was automatically renewed. Sometimes, we Nigerians have a knack for making things very difficult for those coming behind us. undecided

Hello house, 2 yrs ago we got issued us visa but had to cancel travel plans as I lost my dad and also got another job shortly after so last year was spent in training. I’m now off probation and qualified for leave and we ll be going on a short vacation this Easter. My question: we were supposed to stay in a hotel then but now I’m thinking apartment or hotel apartment to afford us cook our meals instead of eating out all the time. Hope this is not a problem? We r going to same state.
You're good to go.

Hello everyone, I will appreciate your kind help please. I am an Academic going for a Conference next week Thursday DV in Orlando Florida, I went for my Visa interview last Monday, the 25th of March. The Lady who interviewed me asked for my CV but I never imagined CV will b asked for and was not with a copy, so she told me to send the CV n information on my PhD research which I did in China as additional information to their e-mail addy; LagosNIV@state.gov and then asked me to drop my Passport at the Muri Okunlola DHL office. I traveled to Lagos from Ogbomoso my base n since I didn’t have these documents with me I had to start scavenging

So I rushed to d CEAC website n found “Admnistrative processing”!
I googled what this meant n didn’t like d answers I got one bit. I wonder what could have warranted my application going thru AP, I mean, I am just an Academic who has been in vitro present a scientific Paper at a Conference n I am going for just that!
Also on d CEAC, I saw that my application was opened on the Friday d 22nd and updated last on that same Monday I was interviewed. So Iam a bit worried these people are not giving me a fair hearing or what? Does it mean no further processing was done on my Visa?
So, I called the Embassy on phone this time, n the kind man who spoke with me was quite understanding, in d course of our discussion I told him I just really tot of a note of warning on the Consulate’s website which states that they will not open mails with attachments for security reasons n poor me attached all my additional documents cos that’s about the only means I knew by which I could send them to the e-mail d Visa Office gave me! The man then made me understand they may not have opened my mails for these reasons!
Wow! Where does this leave me?
Please, I need to understand what has happened n if I still stand a chance of getting my Visa before Thursday my date of departure. Conference starts on Saturday d 6th of April n my presentation is on the 8th. I need to leave for Florida on Thursday DV. My flight is by 10:55pm DV. Pls help a distressed sister! Thanks.
Pay for another visa fees and apply for expedite visa interview, you will be able to submit your passport and probably get your visa in time for the conference.

@omoBendel24 My wife and I saw your scenario play out in reality last week. Our dropbox renewal was scheduled for 221g on a Saturday. We got there and one couple who had birthed in the US were struggling to explain why they did so on a B1/B2. By the time they were done, husband and wife were each banned for life from the US. It was a terrible sight to behold the look of stupefied shock on their faces. huh
Probably for 10yrs.

It's similar to my case . The passport photo I uploaded was rejected online so on the day of my appointment I took 4 copies of passport photograph to the embassy and they collected 2 from me. So you don't have to worry about anything. At the end I was still granted visa
When was this?

Hello house.
Please I filled my form with a passport photo as the photo was rejected. I have now gotten a new photo but I can't upload on the form because probably I have signed it. Can I now attach the photo to the form? Is it acceptable for interview? Thanks
No, you have to fill another form and update your profile page.... Hope your interview is not near.

Many thanks to folks on this platform. You give alot of information freely. Only God will reward you guys. My recent Visa renewal was a little harder than before. It will shock folks to know that it was my CV that bailed me out. Funny enough when my colleagues went next day for theirs (3 married and 1 unmarried) their interviews were mere formality. Like oh you are married and is he also going with you to the workshop. I realised that the Visa officer matters and one should just be calm answering questions. Visa interview was around February and location was London.

VO: hello
Me: good morning (can't remember if I handed passport or it was already collected).
VO: what are you going to the us for?
Me: to attend xyz workshop.
VO: are you a student here?
Me: No. I work as an academic.
VO: are you going to work there?
Me: No.
VO: why are you attending this workshop?
Me: to develop capacity in abc and lead research in that area for my lab.
VO: why are you attending this workshop?
Me: repeats answer with a little explanation.
VO: not satisfied why you should attend this workshop.
VO: are you going to work there?
Me: no. I'm attending a workshop.
VO: are you presenting a paper there?
Me: No, it's a workshop with training sessions.
VO: do you have anything with you that shows the kind of work you do?
Me: just my CV.
VO: can I have it?
Me: presents CV
VO: oh you have a PhD in Computer Science. That's what I meant.
Me: I just shrug like I'm confused.
VO: your Visa has been approved. You will have your passport in Bleep days. Hands me a card with some info and I'm out.

3 years ago the interview was more seamless and the questions were not like this. Also, I could relate with the questions and not be a mind reader. Maybe because my sponsor then was an IOC compared to an HEI in this instance.

All in all I thank God for favour that day.
Good news all the way.

I'm confused brother i have two answers I'm work on one before I don't know the better one that is why I'm sorry.... I want to be so sure if I'm to use invitation letter from my aunty is better than to stay in hotel.... a guy said I don't need invitation letter with my travel history why one guy said where I'm going to stay overthere can not deside my visa but all I need to do is to prove that I will come back home... I'm asking now can I continue with the invitation from my Aunty or apply and stay in hotel. Thanks
Mr Man it is very simple... your aunt will not determine if you will get the visa or not, you can actually visit your aunt but if I was in your shoe I will apply for a tourist visa in another state with my wife reason is because a married man going on vacation alone is somehow.
