Beautyaddy: You higher chance of getting the US visa will not depend on where you're going to stay in the US.
It will depend on how strong your ties are in Nigeria is and that nothing in the US will make you abandon it. True and with a better travel history, he has no need to visit his aunty or get an invitation letter. |

Ugosample: if that is the case
theconsulars are not serious
but I won't blame them
Nigerians have made them treat us like this Me I sha don't understand the bolded, I believe for anything to work in Nigeria it requires a special treatment.... unfortunately our special treatment is always negative. |

Ugosample:

okay I see
because to me, I don't believe there od a "quality place" when it comes to tourism
You just go to where catches your fancy
that's my philosophy tho
I'm planning a long trip across Latin America for 2021 for example, and for some, they will think it's not a "quality" place but I disagree
As long as the country has tourist potential, it's a quality country
just my thoughts sha The reason you're on this forum is because you want to visit U.S, U.S prefer quality destination for your travel history... by the way to get Latin America visa is harder than getting U.S Visa |

Anyways, not like there will be peace here still if a new thread is set up and we get to barely 40, 50 pages and someone is referred to read up, offence will still be imputed.... I swear.. You're not far from the truth. |

fkj950ax: I am not an authority in all of this, maybe when those well versed respond to But as a Civil Servant, there is Levels, Cadre, Step... Are you a Director, Perm Sec...
All this determines your income and other things
If you are a Junior Staff in the Civil Service, I don't think the embassy cares.
Will you return after your holiday? That's what matters to them Civil Servant of any Cadre get U.S Visa like everyone else...and get denied too. |

ayenikunle: Erhmmm, why are people so negative about this case which could be completely true?
Personally I feel we should also mind the kind of words we use in some cases because we do not know the kind of ailment the child is having or troubles this parent is passing or must have passed through.
Let's stop assuming and help anyway we can.
My question is, why do you guys think it's fake? I never said it's fake, I know something like this existed and no one is negative, we're all here to learn and learning is not straightforward which you know. |

Bimreal: Firstly as u also quote, he cant cancel the appointment anymore, Also the form can still be rectified if he haven't submitted his DS-160 online but if he has submitted the form, he will have to purchase a new MRV and start all over or he stick to his information and get prepared to convince them at the interview. No need to cancel... he should fill another form and change the ds160 number on his profile page. |

Blackfinegirl: I have been a silent follower.
let me drop my transcript here.
I applied via drop box to renew my usa visa and I stated I was going for medicals. 221g letter was sent to me and I rescheduled for interview. Unfortunately a week to my interview I had pre term labour at 6 months and they could not keep the baby since he was not up to 7 months. I reschedule my interview due to health reasons after delivery.
me: I asked her if i needed to inform them when next I get pregnant, she said no, but i should declare it at the point of entry, and have enough funds to cover my treatment.
Thank you lord for this victory, and for doing something for me to wipe away my tears. Congrats and your tears of sorrow will surely turn to tears of joy very soon... apart from the fact that you have a very good and lovely travel history, you did not hold anything back and you're upfront with your future plans. Have a lovely delivery soon and please share the good news with us |

Lol! It's ok,I'm hopeful! Just getting prepared. I think it's possible... it's like an experimental kind of thing. |

teamgreat: Thank you so much. Please,a hospital in St Louis approved my daughter for a free child care (free medicals) for 2018,we are to pay for flight and also use the hospital's hospitality accommodation at a lower cost. The hospital agreed to treat her anytime she gets to USA as we were not able to meet up last year. We have our letter of invitation from the hospital and all cost they will cover is stated there. Please, hope we won't have much problems with getting visa approval. Already getting scared with all that I'm reading. Is this even possible? |

folmus: POE Transcripts
Flew using Qatar Airlines. It was a long journey (14hrs). Arrived 12th March morning. POE is JFK ( I used JFK in 2014 too). One Chinese-looking American.
Me: Good Morning
CBP: Morning, Can I have your passport?
Me: Sure! Gave him and he scanned it.
CBP: Where are you coming from?
Me: I told him
CBP: Why are you in the US?
ME: for a convention
CBP: how long are you staying?
ME: 4 days
CBP: Look at the camera. That's all. He stamped me in and indicated B1 on the stamp. He gave me my passport.
Me: Thank you.
As I was walking to the exit, since I have no bag to claim, a lady (CBP) called me and asked me few questions.
Lady: how are you? Me: Good and you? Lady: Fine , thank you. Can I have your passport? Me: Sure! Gave her. Lady: What do you do and where are you coming from? Me: I told her. Lady: How long re you staying? Me: 4 days. Lady: Are you connecting flight? Me: Yes, JetBlue Lady: Thats terminal 5. She gave me the descriptions to the terminal and handed my passport to me.
Back to my base and good luck and safe flight to others. What a short trip... Jetlag will deal with you. |

cris83: No, as I stated earlier, it's a family business. I was studying for my masters in Ghana when I got my first visa in 2014 so once I was done, I took the trip and as I said it snowed like crazy where I was that time such that my uncle who I stayed with refused to let me travel back until the weather was better as he would have had to drive me to the airport and its an 1h 20mins drive. Agreed it was a stretch, but I filled that when I did Dropbox for the second visa (2016) and it was renewed. This is my third renewal that had m stuck with 221g and my last trip (last year) was just 4weeks. You made it sound like it happened last year.... if you've renewed after staying for 3 months, I see no big deal with getting your visa, it's a random call. |
