SipCoke: I apologize for the long post... So the thing is, I am 22 years old currently in 200 level. My performance is very poor, in fact I'm currently on probation(I'm suppose to be in 300 level by now) and that's not because I'm not intelligent or I'm dull o. it's just that i don't show commitment towards my studies because I've completely lost interest in the course I'm currently studying because of its calculation aspect. I hate calculations a lot. Let me say, I'm more of a theory person. I have tried applying for change of course but i was denied maybe because of my poor performance. My Father doesn't know anything about this. "no issues at all Daddy, my result is good", my response whenever he asked me about my result.
So i have finally decided to apply for withdrawal from my current school to register and sit for jamb again. This time i will apply for a course in a different institution. This course in question is a course I've wanted to study long ago but my current school don't offer it. My friend studies it and I've done research on the course my self. I'm very sure i can do it this time.
Now i don't even know how to approach my father with this. I know I've fvcked up big time. The man will be so so annoyed and disappointed in me but i can't continue like this, i want to get things on track, i want to fix my life and start afresh. Right now I'm just confused and frustrated. Nairalanders, i will need your advice and suggestions. Please what's your take on this? INTEREST and ABILITY matters in a course....The thing I hated that time in LASU studying Mathematics was the abstract questions they set eg Prove that.... I come finally change to Physics that I like since it is more logical in terms of reasoning and calculations. That is after almost 3 years in Mathematics....I now started from yr 2 while my mates moved to yr 4..... I UNDERSTAND you perfectly. ....But, you didn't state the course you like. |

That's also the reason why baby factories are flourishing there. Because they put out any teenage girl who got pregnant and can't seem to find any man to take responsibility and take her in. The nice thing to do would have been to put you on the next bus and not Assume it’s ok to extend other passengers journey time . Some could be on a lean time for business appointment travels etc. Hopefully you would see the Point. 3 buses (schedule) daily |

I will say it the way it is....They are wonderful....They may have some lapses, but still one of the BEST in Nigeria.
Last year July, I travelled with Cross Country.
Cross Country isnt too bad BUT what I didn't like about them was that, they will stop at Sagamu and change the buses of passengers, after a long wait and not minding that some were going far.
So, I was to use God Is Good Motors to get back to base ( for the first time) and as I left my hotel thinking I had packed my phone in my bag, only to get to GIGM at the set time that morning and just realised my phone wasn't in my bag. Thank God I collected the hotel's customer care number. I wasn't even sure if my phone was in the hotel or deep down inside my totally filled up bag.
It was a kind security guy @GIGM that helped me use his phone to call the hotel, first time, to check my room for me and second time, to confirm if they had seen my phone which they told me :YES.
The customer care boss was kind to me and told me to go and explain to those announcing when the buses where leaving/sell tickets. I went there and the lady kindly waited for me to get to my hotel and come back, almost 25mins+.
Other commuters didn't know why the scheduled time for the 3rd bus was shifted for extra 1hr. They complained but I told few of them that GIGM must have good reason for that.
My experience with them was OK....in the bus, we were watching movies upon movies. I had a better experience with them than Cross Country..... Cross Country will go far in the business too if only they make some adjustments as they cover more routes. |

DonMoel: Dermatologists and the experienced ones in the house please your help is needed.
I've been battling with this strange thing for upto 3years now.
It all started in 2017. I could see some dark patches on my body which looks as though they are under my skin.
I HAVE VISITED THE STATE SPECIALIST HOSPITAL to see a Dermatologist. I was told to do several tests which I did. After submitting the whole results, the doctor said nothing was wrong but it's just a skin allergy. She recommended a cream and since then I have been using it. It's more than a year now but no changes.
It's seen on my laps down to the feet.
Has anyone experienced this before ? I'd appreciate possible solutions to this please as it's making my skin look annoying. Stop using sponge for now. Buy PREMIUM SOAP(ALOE VERA) N50 and rub on body, leave for a long while then wash....You can also buy an Aloe Vera cream like Vaseline ( Aloe Vera). Also, you can buy lime and mix with small honey, RUB on skin and leave for 15-20mins and wash(preferably at night) and can use CITROCLEAR (SERUM) N350-400(Use like cream). Be prayerful too. |

lalasticlala: The wedding of Peter and Paul Okoye's sister, Mary Joy Okoye to Nollywood actor, Emma Emordi has crashed. They got married in 2014 and the marriage produced a son.
Instablog9ja shared a screenshot of what P'square's sister said that reveals that her marriage is over.
Reacting to a Facebook post which asked users "what their ex was good at":
Mary Okoye accused her estranged husband of cheating, stealing and infecting her with STDs.
"Sleeping around and stealing, so hes good for nothing and useless to his family and the world".
"My dear, don't take it personal ok... It is I of experience. Wait until you get married to a man who will infect you with STDs, steal all you ever worked for. You catch him in bed with another woman. And then he will tell you he gained nothing from the marriage even after giving him a son, then you will know where I'm coming from. I pray you never meet such". Mary Okoye said.
Meanwhile, actor Emma Onyinyechukwu Emordi took to his Instagram page to subtly react to his estranged wife's allegations:
"The man or woman you choose to be your partner affects everything in your life: your mental health, your peace of mind, the love inside of you, your happiness, how you get through tragedies, your success, how your children will be raised, and so much more.. choose very wisely... Soon a story will be told to the glory of God almighty... happy weekend my people..." For a Nigerian woman who would usually (by faith) want everyone to believe all is well with her family to come out to state this publicly, know that 'water don pass garri' and she hopes that a bit of shame will help him change for the best.... 'Fine boy, no pimples' feeling he can cheat and get away with it and in addition infect her with STD(a gradually becoming norm in marriages by Nigerian married men). Anyway, now that it is personally happening to an OKOYE, they should see what it means/how it feels for a man to turn his back on his wife. I will continue to 'hail' Peter Okoye for STANDING always with his wife despite about 6years age difference and from a different tribe. My REAL man anyday. |
