I was listening to a comedy about an old woman smoking weed and doing all sort of wierd things. It was laughable really. Later I learnt that the joke was made in the church where the so called pastors and evangelists are seated...

Guy, I finished it o....cos I love Fela sooo much. How he created his kind of music is still a mystery to me. His music is evergreen and will be relevant till tomorrow. It makes me wonder that many of his albums done in the 70's still touch the cord of my soul. Your answer is in 2 Thessalonian 2. read from beginning to end but take note of verse 3-4 that says the Day of the Lord will not come unless the son of perdition is revealed. So, no antichrist, no rapture or the Lord's day.

Also see Revelation 14:14-16. the Son of Man sitting on the cloud will thrust His sickle in the earth for harvest, which means harvest of the saints, but note from beginning of chapter 13 and 14 that antichrist have arrived. and the saints were patient. The harvest that Jesus will do is also mentioned in Matthew 13:24-30 (parable of the wheat and tares).

So no meeting of Christ or the Lord's day without the son of perdition being revealed first. Shalom.

Very sorry for the late response. That scripture you quoted were for those who died in Christ, who refused to receive the mark of the beast. Rev.13:10 says, here is the patience of the saints, that is, saints generally, not some set of christians who missed the rapture and paid with their blood. Note that no record of rapture taken place has been recorded, not even in chapter 12. Note chapter 13:7, that he was given power to wage war with the saints and overcome them, that is the reasons for those killings and the reason for the patience and endurance of the saints because they refused to worship him nor recieve the mark.
See Revelation 14:9 again, it says if anyone worships the beast or recieve mark, God shall punish such, and take a very good note at Rev. 14:12, which says here is the patience of the saints;HERE ARE THOSE WHO KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD AND THE FAITH OF JESUS. so you cant say those who miss the rapture are those who keep the commandment and the faith. So those in the verse you quoted are those saints who were patient with the sufferings and persecution of the antichrist, and they obeyed God till death. Therefore brace up yursef, or rather pray that our generation wont see it if yu fear the sufferings to com Shalom.

Aunty, don't just argue anyhow, be diligent enough to go and study all the scriptures given by those mentioning you, not just read o, but study, It is called comparing spiritual things with spiritual. Unless you don't want to know more about spiritual things, then forget it. That God uses our pastors for some miracles and wonder works does not mean they know all or follow the new covenant. It is hard to receive the truth when it is opened, but trust me, you will be happy and free, and be confident to answer spiritual questions and the reason to mysteries. Humbleness before what is right is a delight to God. You may have been learning a false tin for 20 yrs. That it is false does not make you less a child of God, but when you refuse the truth, you reduce your spiritual knowledge. This is not to say that your pastors are still not your pastors, but you will know what to obey and what to disobey, because God's word in perfect dissection is ultimate.
