Nigeria is the market, Nigeria has the target market now imagine for a company to ignore the larger market for a lesser market tells you just how stupid our leaders are, zero sense, zero leadership quality zero patrotism, just greed, wickedness, and looting and embezzlement, guess the world also sees what some sane nigerians see, I like the fact that the Ghanaian president is actively involved in talking to investors, here our own jihadist, lifeless president is in London for medical tourism yet the idiot said he is resting, how can you he be resting when he hasn't done anything meaningful in his entire life.

TMKsouth, All these people you mentioned cannot impact positively on the people or implement policies that would bring Nigeria to the same level of development with SA. The political system in this country makes it extremely difficult for those with growth-oriented policies to contest for elections. The electoral system here is too hostile to progressives and those with good development agenda.

I always get upset when I see my fellow country men argue with you, comparing SA to Nigeria. We have all the resources to at least near SA in terms of infrastructural development, but the inbuilt corruption and its tendencies on our politicians would not allow them to build benefiting infrastructure for this country.

Honestly, other countries in Africa have left us behind but we will keep fooling ourselves here that we are making progress.
its really annoying when they keep comparing the two nations, Nigeria has a long way to go, its best we focus all our energy on getting it right rather than battling other nations, some think south Africa is an enemy yet they fail to realize the biggest enemy are the very same stupid leaders they have.

ivandragon:
I think garba shehu is referring to the fairly frequent suicide bombings in the past...

Shehu however seems to be blind to the fact that though the frequency of suicide bombings have reduced, the increase in wide spread kidnappings & general insecurity is twice as bad.
that is where the idiot is getting it wrong, you claim to have defeated bokoharam but every week sch students are being kidnapped, everyday herdsmen slaughter innocent citizens, while bokoharam activities were largely based in the north during Jonathan's administration, the bandits and most notably herdmens activities and carnage have shifted to the every region in Nigeria, yet anytime the question of insecurity is mentioned this fool always talk about going to Borno to ask resident like Borno is the only state in Nigeria. fools everywhere.

Shari'a law is giving u headache because u dnt have the right jurisdiction to form urs but rather chose to use customary court. Anyway, in Ogun state and Lagos only there is serious marginalisation & persecution of Muslims in civil service and deprivation of their constitutional right to exercise their religious rights. Imagine the recent saga in Kwara if the Muslims were minority what would happen?
Northern crisis isn't mostly religious but tribal. Go and check all the Hausas killed in Plateau from 2001-2013, and the massacre of Hausas in Southern Kaduna; they were all invain and never got religious title untill when the oppressed become predators?
please don't mention Kwara in this the school is originally a missionary Christian school I guess the reason you like to be the majority isn't to fight for your right but to oppress and take the right of others, here you go again making a case for evil talking about the oppressed becoming predators same way the sheik gumi keeps saying bandits should be pampered, of course you and the sheik share same believe bokoharam/herdsmen/bandits aren't the perpetrators they are victims.

it's crazy when everyone keep talking about Nigeria's unity, if you are so sure about it why not allow a referendum and let the people decide if the so-called love and unity is true, it isn't arewa or iPob or afenifere who gets to decide why not let Nigerians have a say ? why is arewa always so defensive of the so-called unity?

The weakest people on earth are people like u who only rant on social media or call UN when the horror of war starts. Think again, North is more than just religion and ethnicity.
This mentality is seriously affected the future of next generation irrespective of their boundary; Northern Muslims are mostly against division because they fear the plan to persecute and oppress southern Muslims especially Yoruba Muslims while on the other hand you people who are very very coward can't come out and say it but always hiding behind Middlebelt not knowing the composition of Middlebelt states.
Is it nor embarrassing how u accuse Lalong for nothing just because he maintain peace in Plateau. This prove all the previous conflicts are master minded by ur religious sinister.
Try to go close to power, you'll buy some sense.
how insensitive for you to say northern Muslim are against division because of fear of oppression and persecution of southern Muslims, look you cannot fool anyone here, we all know the reason they fear division. in Auchi in Edo state there is a huge Muslim settlement never have they complained of being persecuted or killed by Christians, and Edo state is a Christian state, now compare that with the Killings of Christians in the north the southern kaduna massacre or the imposition of sharia law the invasion of Christian communities. everyone in this nation know who are the liabilities and trouble makers.

Can the igbos even contain themselves in another country? It will be chaos all through. As for Buhari's hate towards the igbos, nothing is surprising. The north and the south will never be one.
true let's call for a referendum asap, it will be best.
Politics › Re: Umar’s “Biafran Boys” Dig Part Of Nigeria’s Unofficial Igbophobia By Farooq by Shattuck(m): 8:12pm On Apr 03, 2021
I really feel for the igbos, its such a shame that buhari is also a part of this hate towards an ethnic group, if you hate them why not let them go and have an independent nation, imagine a president saying all that evil words and yet claims Nigerian unity.

I consider it defamatory and ungodly calling a person a by a name that the Law doesn't support. Tinubu could be corrupt, but just by saying it without proof is ungodly. How would you have reacted if someone says that you're a thief without any proof? I'm sure that if not for the anonymity that Nairaland provides and if you had come out under your proper name and identification to call Tinubu a thief, or anyone else, you would have been sanctioned. And I'm sure that you're well educated enough to know that what I'm saying is the truth? N'est ce pas?
I understand you perfectly, my initial argument is that using the Nigerian legal system as a yardstick to identify who is corrupt or not isn't right, knowing fully well that the Judiciary is part of the corruption process, so because anyone has not being indicted or convicted does not make you innocent when the system wasn't even built to convict politician especially higher politicians.

Let's be specific for once! Name one corruption case that indicted Tinubu, please. Your people dragged him to the Code of Conduct Tribunal and he prevailed, have you forgotten? Or do we lay Rule if Law aside because Tinubu is mentioned. The Bible says that we should search every matter before making a conclusion. Surely you're a Christian? Even if you're not, where's is your good conscience?
lets be specific name one corruption case that indicted ibori in nigeria ? how many govs have Been indicted in nigeria by your argument I guess nigeria is one of the least corrupt nations in the world considering it has one of the least indictment ratio in the world, Germany and Canada are most corrupt, babaginda and others has never been indicted guess corrupted never existed in his tenure.

couldn't have been said any better, its shameful and mediocre, I like that part were it says "leadership adds value not drain it" these are not leaders they are parasites, a parasite feed on its host, their wealth is the poverty of the nation.

So the 900 million naira doesn't contain monitoring tracker, voice recorder or GPS? It doesn't kill Africans too?

This greatly shows that poverty and hunger is the highest cause of people whipping up weird conspiracy theories and abnormal stories.

A person who is handsomely employed or has a profitable business that yeilds good money will know how it feels to have financial freedom and time and then understand that nothing, I repeat, nothing, will ever make a $100b+ retiree like Bill Gates to even have the weirdest thought of having to inject monitor or whatever they call it inside some poor Nigerian or anyone at all. The technology to do such is not even available. If available Bill Gates will have to spend of $200bn to inject only Nigeria with 200m people $2000 trackers each. His networth is only $150bn or so.

The most embarrassing part of these stories is the that people spreading it took polio vaccines donated by Bill Gates at infant, they didn't die, only to grow up and think Bill Gates or someone somewhere wants to eat their destiny or monitor their movement. Same person owns a smartphone with GPS, Internet connection and a gallery full of his photos, has a Facebook account with all his information, and then a bank account with all his accurate personal information/biometrics and financial details and history - all stored with computers running on Windows operating system that was developed by...wait for it...Bill Gates.

Congrats to Doc. cheesy
