Bravelady: Always help your neighbours in distress and they will help you back I wish Nigerian youths trooped out to support black lives matter movement, if we had done that, by now, those black people would be behind us and trust me, when those one deh behind us, we will win anything, CX they are not very normal as you will think SARS harass them pass us
But nah!, Nigerians kept saying bad things against them
Help your neighbours in distress and they will help you in distress
Anyway NO GOING BACK
#End SARS now #We are tired of bad governance #We are tired of old unintelligent people leading us #We are tired of Audio better Nigeria #We are tired of Audio end corruption #We are tired of Audio end Yahoo Yahoo #We want action now
#Nigerian youths won't relent, we will continue until all we demand is being done
#We die here true I always wonder why some Nigerians derive joy in mocking African Americans or saying they hate Africans which I think is a big lie personal opinion towards Africans may differ but most times I see some of them trying to connect with Africa which I think is beautiful, either through music or through culture, we as Nigerians need to show solidarity to others who are going through though times as they have shown towards us. |

Gval123: I understand the pain of the northern youth. The killings by Boko haram and fulani headsmen is too much in the north. I think is time the nothern youth ask their leaders questions, starting with President Buhari. Important questions, Like How long can we continue to hate our neighbors because of religion and tribe? How come we have a lot of beggars in the north, and even those in the south migrated from the north, why? How did this Boko Haram started? who is sponsoring them? How come these extremist have military connections? who is profiting from these killings? why can't the northern Nigeria be as progressive and free as the southern Nigeria? All of these Questions, the youth must ask those leaders. Northern leaders are wicked to their youths, put them in bondage. These youth don't even have a proper life, they live below animal standard and the northern elite love that fact, so they can use them for religious extremism. A poor man always want to fight for God. ie, They want to kill you because you pieces the quran or bible. But the rich have become exposed, they understand that only a fool will feel he wants to help God. You can never fight for God, never. God does not need your help, he can do it all, tell those blood sucking extremist to Stop killing and stop using God's name to cover up. Ask your leaders these questions true in as much as they are looking out for themselves against banditry and herdsmen I think they should learn to build bridges with the south rather than burn them, I get the issue they raised but the way it is presented as a counter against the south seems as if they are against the south. |

ILoveDemMANNA: God bless the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. President Muhammadu Buhari for hearkening to the voice of the masses and ensuring their immediate wish was met with disbandment of the police unit.
Let me lecture you a bit Nairaland member.
The Special Anti-Robbery Squad was founded in 1992 by former police commissioner Simeon Danladi Midenda. The major reason SARS was formed was when Col. Rindam, a Nigerian Army Colonel was killed by police officers at a checkpoint in Lagos.
Do you know how many Nigerians were killed in the era of PDP? That they never find anytime to BAN them! It was business as usual for them......as long as they have money to steal and loot, All the citizens that lost their lives for 16 evil years means nothing to them.
Since the BLACK LIVES MATTER in your country begins, and millions of Americans are calling for the DEFUNDING of police in America and much more, can you tell us what your president has done since then? Over 7 months now! Why didn't your president where you reside done something about it since almost everyone in almost every country in the world, all sport teams and clubs in the world are saying BLACK LIVES MATTERS? So, dem born Donald well (using your slang) not to listen to the cries and complaints of billions of people worldwide? Stop being an hypocrite. My last response to you. keep quiet this has nothing to do with buhari he only bowed to pressure does buhari have the guts to stand against the pressure from the international committee, comparing this to black lives matter is insensitive. |
Politics › Re: IGP Adamu Announces Dissolution Of SARS by Shattuck(m): 4:37pm On Oct 11, 2020 |
Niceman12: 90% of northerner don't like buhari and APC anymore. For example go and check how northerners are supporting PDP in ondo election. The reason that northerners still depend buhari when southerners are insulting him is that you tend to blame Islam and hausaFulani. Unlike how northeners only insult PDP and its members before 2015.
The reason that we both cannot fight for the same cause is because we are so divided. We can't realize that we are fighting for same thing. I understand you better now, I know it is wrong to insult an entire religion and tribe, I just wish we can see beyond all of this lines and see the bigger picture that we can make Nigeria work for all, I keep saying this there are only two set of Nigerians it is the oppressors vs the oppressed, its not north vs south, or Christians vs muslims. we can all do better. |
Politics › Re: IGP Adamu Announces Dissolution Of SARS by Shattuck(m): 2:46pm On Oct 11, 2020 |
Niceman12: SARS Are not giving us problem in north. So we got no reason to protest. We have many more important things to protest about.
Few months ago when northerners are protesting against banditry you hypocrites start insulting us and none of you join us. But you show your clear support for the bandit LA just because we voted Jonathan out the north has never protested heavily against insurgency( I stand to be corrected) Nigeria has many problems, my biggest joy about this news that Nigeria can unite for a just cause to effect change, but if we are to get that change on a national level we need to come together as a united entity north and south, arrewa's comment about the all issue leaves more to be desired, Jonathan failed as a president, buhari is also a failure but if we are to fight against buhari's failed govt I am not sure if the northern youth will show support for it. |

So change your attitude and SAR will care your. #WENEEDSARS!!! good character like boko haram and child marriage, good character like stealing public funds(though a Nigerian thing), stop this nonsense of being holy. majority of nigeria's past leaders are from the north if truly there was any good character why is Nigeria like this, buhari and his gang of criminals are busy looting the nations treasury guess they are from Pluto. |

Learn how to embrace constructive dialogue. I still stand on my words, in this Nigerian situation I can never join any protest, I can't come and die young, there is no how u can end SARS if u die, I rather survive now with the hope to be in power one day and end it. well this is not the first time they have talked about reforming sars, I remember when that young guy was killed in Lagos last year or so the vice president talked about reforming the police unit, was there any change, reform for them is just a word, and we have heard it before. secondly the case of yahoo boys is not even the duty of sars officers its more of the job of EFCC, sars is anti robbery which should come mostly into play in an active crime scene. |

So, I am saying he is right and let's not argue ad hominem, devoid of reason. I get ur point but still we know corruption to be the major issue with Nigeria how many of those individuals have been persecuted since the agency involved in fighting corruption belongs to the fed govt how about power and our federal universities how about the lack of jobs after they promised 3 million job annually, you can say it is the state govt but do the state govt control their resources? the state govt has failed just as much as the fed govt. |

What are we really celebrating? Boko Haram? Bandits? ISWAP? Lopsided employment? Unemployment? My brother, my brother employment. Inflation? Hunger? Corruption? Illiteracy? Insecurity? Hunger? Bad Roads?

After 60years of Independence, nothing to write home about. May God help Us all, Amen. true words I don't see why an average Nigerian has to celebrate independence, the leaders and their families can celebrate independence because it was through that they were able to acquire wealth at the detriment of the masses, the mansions the bank account the life of the rich and famous all became possible through independence. for us it represents pain and man's inhumanity. |
