They will fix it - hostels like Indy and Zik were horrible in the 90s and I'm sure they got some financing to fix them. OAU students were the ones typically laughing at UI back then, though most of OAU's Awo Hall has always been in terrible state even at that point. It was horrible.

See the problem I have with Nigerian Christians? He only "defended" the Catholic Church. Cardinal, I thought u believe in unity of all believers? Regardless of your affiliation if you look closely enough and you are not focused on pockets of human weaknesses & dirts here and there, you will always say God bless the catholic church. No noisemaking but mightily blessing people every blessed day from the bitter cold of Chicago to the slums of India to even the hinterlands of Nigeria with no landing space for private jets just footpaths they provide food, shelter, healthcare, education, love and care. Again, human flesh can never attain perfection but God bless those churches that preach with their touch of love. If only our Governors could adopt a fraction of the essence of the catholic church.

A prestigious school like The University of Ife was renamed obafemi Awolowo University (OAU). None of you protested because all the Yorubas like Awolowo.
If the Yorubas loved Abiola as they claimed, then they wouldn't have had any problem as regards immortalizing him with their best property. Jonathan only wanted to know if actually they love Abiola but it is now clear to everyone thst their so called love for Abiola is none_existent

There were protests back then but IBB won't have it - military dictatorship.
Besides, OAU was Awolowo's vision. He built the school. UNILAG's history is different. There is no basis for changing the name to MKO's after about 50 years of existence.

So what's really the difference between these two situations.

If you think deeply about it, this is actually a huge indictment on GEJ and a plus for the current president. You have to evaluate a lot of factors before arriving at a decision. Obviously there is a reason why UNN was not the choice. GEJ goofed big time so let's just give it a rest.

All I know is there will always be conflicts and resolution is always required but social media should not replace family meetings! Why do we always disrespect family structure? Is it because we can bullsht family & move on until begged? Thank you. Some people think real life is some Nollywood movie. I respect the wives/mothers but blood is blood. My wife is not my blood. I will protect her always but she can never be above my blood my siblings. My siblings can never cease being my siblings no matter their shortcomings but we can’t say the same about a wife. A lot of water already passed under the bridge before I became husband material and my siblings were there.

Amara may have been the perfect wife till this moment but at this point she has successfully disgraced her husband’s entire family!

If Nigeria was a normal country,this kind of people should be given the chance but then Nigeria is not normal so there is no chance that he will make any head way. Nigerians will still prefer their ancestors and corrupt people with no idea to keep ruling them while they complain about bad leadership all the time

If we truly want things to change in Nigeria then we need to confront the ‘structures’ with our votes. There is no way I’m voting Buhari/GEJ/Atiku if I see Donald Duke or his likes on the ballot paper. We need truly sound people as leaders and elected officials.
