Ademat7:Speak for yourself and family pls. I know hundreds of Nigerians within my personal circle and I know for a fact that most of what was sent goes into family support, parents' healthcare, sibblings education, small/medium businesses, donations to friends and even strangers for some etc. While you guys ridicule the criminals among us pls respect and appreciate the regular hardworking Nigerians abroad. Their contributions go a long way in alleviating the situation at home. It's been like that for ages and not restricted to Nigerians alone. Immigration is a normal part of life and there is no law that says you must be rooted to your home country or not. |
Long live Ebonyi State! Long live Nigeria!! ![]() |
Stupidity of the highest order. |
tintingz:Definitely among the most beautiful in Africa. |
Stevengerd:With the way they are going about this be assured of the following in future: LASU - Lateef Jakande University - LJU UI - Olusegun Obasanjo University - OOU UNIBEN - Patrick Obahiagbon University - POU Unilorin - Sulu Gambari University - SGU Uniport - Goodluck Ebele Jonathan University - GEJU UNILAG - Don't celebrate yet. They are coming back for you. |
FFK is watching in 3D. |
jfleece:Just checked the crystal ball and it says your next life you are coming back as a Papua New Guinean. Go in peace. |
If a good percentage of Nigerians use the time they waste poking into irrelevant issues about other people on creative ventures the country would be competing with the developed world now. Is it a curse or what? Why can't we just mind our own businesses and contribute positively to the growth of humanity? Time waits for no one. |
Gaddafithe2nd:School no be one of Baba's strength but I think you are right about what he was trying to say ![]() |
This guy raised a very big issue regarding the state of Nigerian prisons but his lack of tact has changed the narrative of an otherwise good platform to discuss a very important issue. Our prisons are said to be universities of crime instead of being rehabilitation centers, what is the government doing about this? This should be addressed. On Domestic violence and government? Mr Gentry, are you okay? Domestic violence is a no no and it affects the society so it is a huge government issue - in fact it's a United Nations issue!! |
Stop making a big deal out of failing an exam, a mere test of memory - you have not failed until you give up. Do more research on how best you can retain information: - You may be studying hard but not spending enough time solving past questions - You may need a serious study partner to motivate you. - You may need to get better books - You may have issues with fundamentals- in that case you have a lot to do. Get textbooks used in the 1st 3 years of high school and read through to rebuild your foundation. - Figure out your best time to study and assimilate and try to stick with it Personally I think the easiest path is to make past questions your best friend. Identify your weak areas and go all the way back to the basics of those topics. Again, failure and success are not destinations. Learn from them and build a great future for yourself. Good luck! |
Much ado about nothing. It is the constitution that legitimizes the issue of avoiding vacuum in the presidency not the president and it is triggered by letter to the senate to that effect. As soon as the absence of the president is conveyed the vice president becomes the acting president. The elected president has no control over this process and no manipulation of words in the letter required by the constitution will change it. Where you have constitutional issue is when a president fails to officially convey his absence to the national assembly. |
mexxmoney:You can lie!!!! I've only counted 17 so far! |
Some people just love to dey smile for camera for daytime but face reality when no one is watching ![]() |
GLOBALINF:Current issues aside - do not re-write history.... sorry, Ooni of Ife is not the king of all Yoruba empire. The only empire in Yorubaland was the Oyo Empire and it was never ruled by any Ooni. We all know who ruled that empire. Let us face reality, neither the Ooni nor the Alaafin can order the Oba of Lagos around. As rulers, they will handle this diplomatically their own way. Thanks. |
bjhaid:Bros, about the personal chauffeur thing.... either you or your brother is lying. Yes... Big fat lie! ![]() |
Is that not Papa Chukwuma for Idumota? When did he become Jewish Rabbi? ![]() Anyway, congrats to Nnamdi Kanu. I respect people that stand for something. |
To the 'Go-and-marry' crew on NL, again read that pastor's post - he must have seen, read and heard a lot. Many are suffering, some are dying slowly while some are already dead and most are pretending and smiling that all is well just to look blessed online and in real world. If you find a good person go ahead, if not then enjoy your life and serve your maker - marriage is not by force. "Marriage is not by force. You can still make heaven without marriage ooh! Marriage is not a yardstick to measure success. I speak in anger! if staying single will keep you alive, please stay single and live than to marry and die." |
They have started again ![]() |
Ramaa:Huge shame indeed. Yet we all got sucked into Afonja/IPOB name checking forgeting that the outside world don't know or care about that very tiny tribal difference that we have shamelessly turned into a big deal. There is a lot to life beyond mega riches and it is unfortunate that most criminals are people with enough capabilities to live a decent happy life. Happiness is a choice that you can consciously make ![]() |
All I know is that no one can use wayo skills fool the South South again ![]() |
Edenoscar:Thunder faya your keypad! Na Wenger I blame ![]() |
peterpen:The guy is confused. By his laughable 'facts' based on last 10 matched, at several points in time last season Leicester was a bigger club than Man United, Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea, Man City etc and I think Everton is currently bigger than Man United and Arsenal based on last 10 matches. Real comedian ![]() |
Edenoscar:There is a reason why records are kept. As a fan of Arsenal I know that fan loyalty aside even if United stop winning It will take the likes of Chelsea several years to catch up with them. Football did not start 10 matches ago. |
Like it or not - it's all vanity. Only the living is worried or crying about the dead or thinking about how many children or properties the dead left behind. The dead don't care. There is a reason why you don't know or care about who were your Dad or Mum's neighbors in 1974 or those who lived in Lokoja in 1886 or the richest family in Calabar in 1912. Some may be gone or may still be alive but it's all vanity . |
Unclerukus:Bros you are getting things mixed up though you both made some valid points. CGPA or any point system is relevant and used for specific entry-level graduate recruitment (common with lots of big companies in the US and beyond) and for graduate program admission (yet there are exceptions in certain institutions). For general job openings beyond the entry-level your academic grade is mostly irrelevant. Some roles will specify that you must have a Bachelor's degree. That is just a requirement, they don't care about your grades. At that point, it's always about your resume (your body of work in terms of professional experience!) and in some fields, your professional certifications. Believe it or not, there are lots of people in Microsoft, Cisco, Google, Facebook etc without stellar university grades. In USA, the unemployment rate for graduates is around 4%. Which means if you pick 25 graduates in USA, 24 of them are employed. That means you can start your career with any company and build your professional resume. The path towards such achievement is the real story, so nobody should be discouraged just because they got a third class in a university. Lots of them end up being very successful after school life - maybe because they mostly have a point to prove as lots of them ended up with not too good grades in the university due to factors beyond academics. Your grade in the university is just one part of your resume. This is not to encourage sloppiness in school but the fact is that your grade in most cases is not a reflection of your ability in a professional or business environment. It is even worse when your certificate is from Nigerian universities. |
chiraqDemon:Simple. Work hard to be the best but if due to some limitations you come out with ordinary pass then go out into the real world and prove yourself. Academics is just one part of the success puzzle. With a 3rd class you are still a graduate and you passed. Success won't ask you for your university grade. |
datola:Pls can you explain this position of yours? |
nijabazaar:There is no way Afonja is derisive. Granted that at a point in history, a Yoruba warrior and leader by that name rebeled against the Alaafin and trusted a foreigner from the North who later betrayed him, there is still nothing derisive in the name. In fact the extensive Afonja families are royal princes/princesses in Yorubaland. On a side note, I don't see IPOB as derisive either though 'Igbo' cracks me up all the time . |
Tenim47: You don craze finish |
eyeview:I hope you are not including the likes of Prof Yemi Osinbajo? |
