boringnigerian:Yes oo and the rich 'bank managers' in Nigeria are flying abroad daily to give birth to ''citizens' ![]() |
If you want to console yourself please find other measures pls don't go after America - it is not even close by any standard. Take it from someone that spends at least 2 months in Nigeria yearly and mixes with the high and the low. |
CaptainJeffry:Thank you. What I read here weak me patapata. $10k? Some Nigerians and their itk on what they have zero clue about ![]() |
Any school that glorifies Chemistry 101 as a dreaded course should be ashamed. There is need for urgent re-orientation or outright sack of some morons camouflaging as 'lecturers' in Nigeria. If you are not competent enough to impart knowledge of basic Chemistry on your students then you and your employers are the failures. |

Afriifa:Not sure what you mean or you misunderstood my comment? |
This is why we make little progress. Expending so much energy on something that is most likely a typographical error when the real issue (the actual question) is pending ![]() |
dvkot:Don't confuse hacking with real technical skills & know-how with common scammers and morally bankrupt dupes. Greedy simpletons capitalizing on basic human inclination to trust to dupe other individuals should not be condoned or celebrated. I personally know of a huge datacenter facility project earmarked for Nigeria by a multinational company that was diverted to another country because of the activities of these common criminals. Please stop being shortsighted. |
WowSweetGuy:That's true |

waldigit:Eba can also destroy your body. Bread can destroy your body. Meat can destroy your body. |

nonix22:In reality, there are far better places than home. Whatis bad is bad. However, if you are home make the best of it. If you live abroad, open your eyes and make the best use of the legit opportunities. If you really love home then you can set targets and enjoy the best of both worlds. I gained focus and freed myself from scavengers when I started my projects in Nigeria. No loose cash to throw away and now I quietly sneak in and out of Nigeria at least 4 times a year making income in two different economic environment. |
lilbest4:Yes, after all the year round tax deductions running into tens of thousands I have had to pay over 3k to IRS - that is over N1m. It goes down when you have kids, make some donations, have mortgage(s), and other spendings within the system. |
PrecisionFx:Stop lying to buttress your point - the whole SW did not vote for Buhari. Lot's of inaccurate analyses here. Go check the figures again. SW votes helped Buhari but SW people don't do absolute bloc voting as they are largely independent-minded people (do your research, even husbands and wives often go different parties in the SW) however the chunk of votes that were previously meant for GEJ helped APC in a huge way as GEJ already lost his goodwill in the vital Middle-Belt. Okorocha made some important points but Nigeria's politics is a bit more complex than that. Lagos: APC 792,460 PDP 632,327 Ekiti: APC 120,332 PDP 176,466 Ogun: APC 308,290 PDP 207,950 Ondo: APC 299,889 PDP 251,368 Osun: APC 383,603 PDP 249,929 Oyo: APC 528,620 PDP 303,376 Apart from Imo State (133,253), APC did not reach 18,000 votes in any other state in the SE and quite understandably the SS. Apart from Ekiti State (176,466) where they also won, PDP had over 200,000 votes in every other state in the SW. *People should do a better job of analyzing 2015 election result. The whole North is not Hausa. A vital bloc in the North helped GEJ in 2011 and he stupidly lost them in 2015. A huge chunk of SW voted GEJ in 2011 and he stupidly lost them in 2015. Buhari lost several times in the past because of these vital voting blocs. Not much changed in the core North and SE/SS in 2015 but the shift in the SW and the Middle-Belt was all Buhari needed. The lesson is that you must form and maintain strong alliances across Nigeria if you want to win. |

Ceejay8: Spectacular slowpoke. Before you come and be going like a typical air-headed dunce, have you checked Google for the legal implication of 'verbal threat'? How is that so difficult for you to do? ![]() |
Ceejay8: What a clown. Use your brain for once and google 'verbal threat' if you are too arrogant to ask a lawyer or any educated kid around you. |
Ceejay8:Hehehe illiterate why are you screaming? I have told you what to do. Verbal threat is considered a criminal ACT though subject to determination of intent. Yes you could be sentenced for what you say if it is established as verbal threat. Pls consult a lawyer and stop making a fool of yourself as if you are in a motor garage in Onitsha ![]() |
Ceejay8:You are wrong and you sound uneducated here. Google the meaning of "threat" in law or ask any educated person in your neighborhood. Yes you can be subject to civil or criminal liability for just "spoken words". |
Supporters of terrorist organizations on NL, desist or face the consequences. Real political agitations are led by very deep, calm and intelligent individuals not loud mouth and uncouth empty barrels. It is now clear that the government is playing chess while the loud semi-literate agitators with no plan B are playing ludo. |
Chukwuma Obioma Okrika will protect him in Jesus name. Amen. |
Good on the part of Nigerians to monitor the presidency but the presidency is well covered in terms of continuity and we have seen this constitutional requirement well tested under the current president. The question now is where is your ward councilor? Where is your local government chairman? Where is your state assembly rep? Where is your federal rep? Where is your state governor? Where is your senator? What have they been doing? Are they holding their part of the democratic bargain? Let us keep up with the awareness and spread it to the right places. |
habayinc:Poor man mentality. Be creative, have dominion and build your own wealth - stop waiting on children growing up to eat 'fruit of labour'. If that happens then it's a bonus and and well appreciated grace but getting into marriage calculating when you start reaping fruits has led many to their early grave and some too sick to enjoy any real fruits of labour due to abject poverty. |
Sorry, I'm not outraged. Information is accurate. |
chukzyfcbb:I don't think previous data was falsified but nothing is impossible. I would like to see the aviation data because around me, the weaker naira allowed people to travel home to take care of stuff and it's safe to assume that many went with lots of cash. I know of someone who was going home once in 2 years on the average and he went home 4 times in 2016 alone and twice this year growing his retirement business. Another friend went to Port Harcourt recently and declared over $15k in cash to the customs in Nigeria. The declaration may count as part of remittances but those who went with less $10k don't have to declare what they brought and added to the economy in Nigeria. |
Papiikush:Then call the Dad to come over and meet the kid. Why add to the confusion? |
sukkot:Church rat or not, they are providing a practically non-existent social welfare system for the economy. The struggling Nigerian student or unemployed graduate who just received $200 from his uncle cares only about his personal needs and future not about Dangote's net worth. |
efismikoko:Regular average Nigerians abroad send money home on a regular basis, I doubt if regular average Nigerians in Nigeria can send money abroad on a regular basis. Besides, this is about what helps the economy not what is going out of the economy. Yes, this is a big deal. |
Before all these web/mobile platforms made it easy to pay directly into foreign bank accounts you need to see Nigerian diasporans at Western Union/MoneyGram locations to understand the love and commitment behind the remittances back home. People had to make uncomfortable trips to distant locations just to assist people at home despite whatever they are also going through in foreign land where you cannot dobale when your bill payments are late, or when you get late to work etc. Seeing our people waiting patiently on queues to send money home then make those phone calls to get the control number across knowing that some scammers are waiting to hijack the transfer was always a sobering experience and you can't help but appreciate the spirit behind it. |
