First off, Detroit (not Detriot) is in Chicago, not Miami.

Thief.
Chicago is a city just like Detroit. MI is Michigan not Miami, a city in Florida. It is Detroit, MI. Chicago is in Illinois. He got the spelling of Detroit wrong but your errors are worse!

Practice, practice, practice. You have already taken the first bold step by accepting the issue. Now how do you resolve it?

First, get yourself a large mirror. Every morning, think of a good topic or report, look into the mirror and talk about it for about 10 minutes. You should find this awkward initially but it will start getting more and more natural.

After about 2 weeks start recording your talks on your phone and listen to it later. Spot your errors and keep correcting yourself. The confidence will come in no time.

Also, while at it pls get a basic English textbook and rebuild your foundation. You will get there with full confidence!

So what's the way forward? There is no time for buck-passing as 2015 was a horrible matchup with no real option. It is time to strategize & follow the plans to the letter but first, where is the acceptable candidate? It is time we join the league of civilized nations and stop discouraging real technocrats from running for presidency. We don't have to make our democracy expensive for regular technocrats by demanding from them money, bags of rice, vegetable oil etc and we don't need to recycle ex-military leaders & ex-Governors.

We all know we have a big problem and we are tired of every Jide, Emeka & Waziri writing epistles about the issues with Nigeria. What we need is a real selfless movement of Nigerians otherwise we are just going to continue in this vicious cycle. Our problem is much deeper than Fulani hegemony, we need to look inwards and free ourselves from our selfishness or else several generations will leave this earthly realm before Nigeria witnesses any meaningful change in the right direction. I pray we get it right soon.

He was quoting the Bible and you just called the Bible a trash.
This tithe issue has shown me that a lot of people have no true regard for the Bible - it is just a tool to promote their real agenda while they serve mammon in reality. A lot of these people are very learned and they know that tithing, like other judaic laws, have no place in Christianity where it's all about GRACE but they won't admit because when they mention their god, they are talking about money, not the real God. I can't believe a Christian, not to talk of a pastor, issuing threats that will make a Badoo, Eye, Vikings or any other confraternity proud.

Can anyone boldly say it's not God speaking through Freeze? His ways are not our ways and regardless of what we think the Saul that became Apostle Paul was a strange choice and even when he became a christian he actually asked tough questions and challenged the status quo. Threatening him won't change anything and it all sounds like intimidation strategy to protect vital interests. Threats like this can only come from an age-long source, not God. We are all created in His image, Freeze inclusive - and even if Freeze is evil the Christian approach is to pray for his salvation. Who profits from his death? Only those hurt by his tithe campaign because tithe payment or non-payment does not affect the alpha and omega one bit!

I just won't stop blaming this buhari. the rate at which Nigerians are suffering since this man came to power, nothing has been done, you don't need anyone to tell you that Nigerians are impoverished , the suicidal rate just increased, oh we Nigerians missed GEJ a lot. we have been taken back to stone age by Buhari. the little people are earning they spend all on feeding alone. God forbid that I vote APC in 2019. we yorubas was used to achieve the aim of this wicked regime in 2015.. never will it happen again.
I don't care about APC or PDP as they are essentially the same but sorry we don't miss GEJ - we miss high oil price and we should have planned ahead during GEJ's time. We didn't notice the global recession circa 2009 because of Obasanjo's vision with foreign reserve but forward to 2015 we didn't have much in stock to buffer the effect of huge fall in oil price. A GEJ that couldn't do much in time of excess shouldn't be missed in time of paucity.

I actually visited US once and returned to Nigeria before finally relocating 16 months later. I made a conscious decision that I am forever grateful for. Contrary to your opinion, while I accept my identity as a Nigerian for the purpose it serves in our current civilization I don't believe anyone was created for a specific country. Borders are man-made creations so when my investments in Nigeria is very stable Ghana is next. I can choose anywhere on planet earth as my home if allowed. many of you claim you came back to invest in nigeria but we havent seen any of your investments and talk of changing the country

Nobody claim nigeria is perfect but you guys think everybody in nigeria is suffering and that is not the truth.the behaviour of we are superior than people at home, thank god for internet,we hear of the police brutality on blacks and troubles of racial discrimination, when we hear this,we know all is not well in that america "the land of the free"

there are many homeless people in newyork alone than the number of mad men on nigerian streets.
You don't have to see my investments - I see my own investments, my banks in Nigeria can see them, those working for me can see them, my family and friends can see them. That is my own little contribution and I know about numerous others doing even more and those that are just starting.

I do not think everybody in Nigeria is suffering because I go home frequently and I have eyes but I know that we can do way better as I see brilliant young people wasting away. America has issues and all is not well and there are poor people but that doesn't change the fact about rewards for excellence in America - and Nigerian immigrants are taking advantage of this daily alongside other immigrants. A man with a known and verified Kenyan father just ruled America for 8 years.

Again, it is important that we know where we should be and stop accepting mediocrity on the grounds that 'there are poor people in New York'.

When things don't add up, you should first question your own understanding of the issue grin grin
Ok, let me break it down:
1. My cousin's girlfriend moved to the US and got a degree in Nursing (BSN) and then got a job.
2. My cousin was based in Nigeria and joined her in the US about 4 years later.
3. His girlfriend's assistance helped him settle down pretty fast and was fully on his feet within 6 months.

Sometimes the issue is not with what people say but with 'our own interpretation of what they said'.

Nigerian in america are known for gaming the system, trying to be smarter than the system but the system eventually outsmart them because they are monitored financially through credit report

Nigerians in america are not all rich, they fall between all classes of higher middle class and low income, pls do not try to paint the story as it all Nigerians in america that are successful, there many poor Nigerians in america and few middle class just like in Nigeria,i have been there and i have seen the homelessness and suffering of many Nigerians,go to the Nigerian consulate in new york, everyday we receive letters of financial help from many Nigerians in the states.they would have been better off in Nigeria.
Yes, America is huge and we know there are 50 states but when a Nigerian in American is sending letter to the Nigerian Consulate in New York (With all their own financial problems grin grin ) then you know that the person has even bigger issues and I'm inclined to believe that those asking you for help in America are not people with work authorization in the US.
Why beg in a country where 24 out of 25 employables are employed?? A country with huge programs for assistance of low-income earners including food stamps, section 8 housing schemes, etc?? You simply have no clue dude.
Like it or not, you may focus on what tickles your fancy but again Nigerians in America are well-known for taking advantage of the opportunities in America LEGALLY. Go to the schools/colleges, go to the tech boot camps, request for list of licensed professionals (Medicine, Pharmacy, Engineering, IT, Nursing, Law, Architecture, Academics) across the United States, spot the numerous Nigerian names and come back here to tell me that they are doing illegal stuff.

we do have such but it is not official and please do not tell me every american citizen has access to this system you mentioned, you are qualified for this type of payment plan if you have a good credit history and score.

this is how it works for average Americans without insurance.

they have very limited choices when it comes to receiving care in America. they can’t choose where they want to receive care or who to receive care from.

They often have no choice or say in being enrolled automatically in a managed care. Once you’re in a managed care plan, if you get sick, you cannot just choose whatever doctor you like.

most doctors won’t see you because the good ones don’t take Managed Care Medical. You can only go to overbooked, lousy, and dirty community doctors offices where you have to spend the whole day in an overcrowded and unpleasant office waiting for your turn, hoping to be seen the same day. You often have to start the process all over again the next day and the day after etc.

If you ever need to be hospitalized, you’re in trouble because you don’t have any choice but to go to the worst hospitals. You might as well die because chances are, YOU WILL DIE THERE.

Even if you try to outsmart the system and go to the emergency room of a decent hospital, you will be transferred to a bad hospital
You are basing your argument on a specific demography that doesn't effectively capture the audience that you address.
Nigerians in America are known for making the most of opportunities that America provides in terms of education and employment. Granted that those without proper documents may fall in this category that you have embraced initially but they are more or less not the main proposition here.

This is what mostly happens in the U.S if you cant pay medical bils, you will get past due notices from the hospital & the physicians that treated you. If you ignore the bills over the long term, they will be treated like any other debt and therefore documented on your credit report which will probably negate your ability to rent an apartment or purchase a home, car, etc. You will be harassed by bill collectors and the debt will always exist and continue to accrue late fees for you to repay unless you are able to declare bankruptcy.
Right but you don't have to pay the bill in full. You can pay what you can afford every month.
Yes, if you don't pay anything and you don't contact them then they take the steps you described above. Do we have such in Nigeria ??

I think you understand better what he is trying to say and the truth of the matter is this, the lot of those commenting here about how this went, that went, most of them including the ones that are clamouring to go now will end up as undocumented immigrants with only menial jobs to fall back to.

America is not the nirvana as painted by many is what he is trying to say. The Nigerian doctors, nurses and bankers over there went through a whole lot to pay through for the education that gave them the life they are living there now and even at that, some of them including the bona-fide Americans are yet to finish paying off their school loans, some may never finish paying it off till they die.

As much as Nigeria can be hard, truly getting the good life in the USA is not easy, you will sweat your brows out in the heat and cold even as a legal immigrant talk more of an undocumented.
You are right about this and this is not peculiar to the US.
It is extremely hard if you are illegal and you don't have anyone to help.

A menial worker in America is not restricted to his 8 hours schedule. He can work overtime or get a second job. That's what people do abroad until they finish school/get licenses. Those who don't follow the path of school/licenses are mostly hustlers working round the clock. I know some who work 8 hours regular and drive cabs/Uber etc for extra income. I know of others who just sit at home and take customer service/technical support jobs all day long. Some of those opportunities are strictly within the US, no outsourcing. Guys in those categories who are financially disciplined and are lucky to find good Nigerians to manage their investments are able to do big things in Nigeria within a very short time.
Nobody is saying that you cannot make it big in Nigeria but the opportunities in the US are no lies!!! Ask Western Union or Nigerian banks about the volume of transactions from abroad every day! Take it or leave it.
