DuBLINGreenb:Same with lots of Nigerians at home. Arrogant and simply impossible (puffed with 'do you know who I am?' mentality) especially when they are financially buoyant but very well behaved and humble inside foreign embassies not to talk of when they finally step abroad ![]() |
Dammytrager:Thank you. As usual and as expected we are only seeing opinions based on personal feelings and no verifiable facts. Honest academicians and other graduates from Nigeria eventually come to the conclusion that our universities are jokes and all these 'best and greatest' threads are mere 'feel good' ventures by people. These schools can't even deliver what common community colleges deliver. Most brilliant products of Nigerian universities were brilliant before they passed through the universities and these universities hardly do anything to nurture and mold them. Kudos to the brilliance of a few dedicated professors and lecturers, in general we are only producing past-question/answer cramming robots. Enough of these fruitless debates on mediocre academic institutions. Our energy should be focused on addressing the standards across board - or better still just move on to better things in your life and see your degree for what it is, another door-opening line on your resume. |
stinechykee:This is no news. The hypocrites and cowards have aligned well and worked with their northern oppressors in the past - Azikiwe, Ekwueme, Azikiwe Jonathan. They are good partners and long may their alliance continue ![]() |
stinechykee:They will dress like women and run to Ivory Coast after making empty noise all over the place when the Black Scorpion descends on them ![]() |
felixomor:Bros pls tell us how much? |
LePrezident:Stop typing rubbish. Nigerian troops were there as part of UN force. |
The way our people dey carry nose enter other people's business na wah. If you don't care how people feed and handle their daily challenges then it's not your business how they choose to live. If they break the law feel free to call police. O pari! |
Aigbofa:I started watching Kemi Olunloyo closely after initially dismissing her as a spoilt brat and a crackhead. I am now more than convinced that she knows exactly what she's doing and she is using a specific Nigeria's social media demography as her platform. That woman is as intelligent as they come. |
RighteousI:Ronaldo is way better than Thierry. Thierry's mates are the likes of Drogba, Rooney, Suarez and Ibra ![]() |
duchess02:Even Messi himself knows his world cup MVP award was a joke ![]() Let's stick with titles won and not awards. |
kutchs:Pele won the world cup 3 times and also won Copa America. Maldini won the world cup. C Ronaldo won the Euro. If Messi won't venture out of comfortable Barca then he will have to stop choking at the national team level to stake a valid claim. |
seanatist:Ronaldo has done everything you mentioned about Messi. |
allansie:Good point but when is Messi going to succeed with the senior national team of Argentina? Ronaldo has succeeded with trophies for clubs and country. With that said, Messi is a class act and Ronaldo is always an inspiration. |
Keneking: You no well |
Some pastors and awoof sef ![]() |
abbey621:Don't mind our people. A lot of highly educated Americans voted for Trump for one reason or the other. I know of several who voted him simply because of Obamacare which many middle-class Americans simply don't want. They want it scrapped, Hillary won't do that. The blue wall voted Trump simply because of trade/jobs - they want manufacturing back in the US and heavy tax on imported products. They were willing to bet on Trump because he connected with them during the campaigns. Only time will tell if they bet on the wrong horse. And others, especially the conservative liberals voted Trump to spite the spike in lesbian, gay, bi/trans support under Obama. Nigerians need to calm down. USA is not the monolithic empire in the order of the old Roman or British empire. This is a system. It is a well-oiled highly resilient structure with sub-groups who have survived the worst of adversities through centuries. This is no different. It is just Amercans being Americans. They voted twice for a man with a Kenyan father. Just wait for the mid-term elections and the next general election. |
Make life difficult in what way? Of course life could be difficult for some due to one limitation or the other and it has always been like that in any capitalist economy but majority of hard-working Nigerians in the US are doing very well and will continue to do well. Yes, some will pretend to their people at home that things are tough but it's mostly to avoid attention and the evil of some of our people. You can already see some people rejoicing that their family members will get deported Those at the risk of possible significant impact are: 1) those living in the US illegally - overstay; undocumented; and not in the process of regularization to get green card. Not that much of a big deal as Obama's administration has been relatively aggressive with deportations. 2) those coming to US to deliver anchor babies for US citizenship. Strong indications that the law will be amended this time around. The fear is that they may even backdate the law but I personally doubt that. |
Eva Carneiro come and do your thing o.... United for relegation! |
Everton got this! |
Buhari is also responsible for the situation in Venezuela, Angola and Egypt. In fact, every country that failed to plan properly during the boom years have Buhari to blame. When the results of ineffectual buffoonery started coming out towards 2015 election when GEJ's government couldn't even pay federal workers it was all because of Buhari. When Okonjo Iweala warned about the impending situation she was talking about Buhari's government spending recklessness. Same with Sanusi. Nigeria, home of very interesting people. You better enjoy the recession for now and learn from it so no one will fool you with PhD again in future. |
Eva Carneiro pls do your thing! ![]() |
INTROVERT:Yes a girl can join. There is a strong one located in my other room. PM me if you wan join ![]() |
They were just so relieved at the end of his speech. |
Matter of time Mikel. You are well appreciated! |
HARKKEEEM:Start by researching the various professional areas in IT. If you can read posts here on NL then you can do that: Infrastructure: Virtualization, Networking, Storage, Backup, Security, Cloud implementation etc Data/Business Intelligence: SQL stuff, Data integration, Data visualization/Reporting, Data analysis, warehousing, mining etc Big Data Programming Web development Cyber security/forensics/ IT auditing, Penetration testing, IT governance etc Software testing / software assurance Then understand the various IT solutions global market leaders and their related products - SAP, Microsoft, Oracle,, Cisco, Dell/EMC/VMware, Citrix, Google, Amazon, Red Hat etc etc etc. When you have a good understanding of some of these then you can decide on what to go for and stick with it to expert level. Nigeria is still scratching the surface as far as IT is concerned but lots of opportunities will open up as free oil money from government dries up especially for those who deliver nothing. Result becomes crucial when free money stops and that's when Nigeria and Nigerians will start to truly appreciate and reward excellence and real substance. You will get there! |
ComradeDon:Isn't that Jonathan's ancestral home? What did he do to help Okigwe when he was chopping life in Aso Rock? |
It is not illegal to capture a rat and name it Ojukwu but please don't do it! |
What of Madam Patience and her 'Diaris God' comedy skit?? Did that help? |
nefertitiram:"Widen your horizon and stop restricting life to your tiny space" should be on the list. - Not everyone is interested in getting married and it is not a general requirement in life. - Not everyone is interested in having kids and also not everyone is biologically able to have kids so why should it be a priority? Some people won't have kids in life for one reason or the other. - Above all, either way you look at it, life is not a permanent destination - all attachments like marriage, kids, money, houses, ego etc - all vanity. |
Nigeria is in deep sh$t! Young people can't even read and comprehend? Wahala dey o. |
Another ego massage thread on Nigerian universities? Anyway, I'm glad we are not including pictures of dirty restaurants, hostel bathrooms and toilets here. Looking forward to discussions on your best college professors, your undergraduate case studies, your study methods, your rating of your professors, quality of teaching, rating of exam questions and labs, your projects especially your final project etc. There should be more to Nigerian university students on NL than webopedia rankings, dry pictures, dry jokes and 'receive sense' comments. O pari! |
That right there is a prophetic minister! |
