kessluvall: I hold a bachelor of Law degree from a reputable uni. In Nigeria.
Are u doing ur masters or bachelors? Masters. Since you graduated with 2:2, in my opinion, your chances of admission into UofM are quite slim. Mail the graduate advisor or a lecturer in your intended department and inquire about your chances of admission. It's better to confirm from the horse's mouth instead of NL. |

ilori1930: I will say you should apply. For me, the fact that you made a first class despite having to combine two sittings for your O'Level result shows that you have exerted yourself to become more competitive and interviewers will surely want to hear the story of how you did it. It could be a strong selling point if you can take advantage of it.
Oando asked for minimum of 5Bs but a lotta candidates who made it to the assessment center stage didn't have up to 5Bs. Don't screen yourself out before recruiters do. Nice one. |

To be 'successful' actually means you aren't average, especially with respect to that area of success. One can be average as a medical student and be successful as an entrepreneur. Being average in school and being deemed successful in your chosen career path are not that related. Time and chance also really matter.
Just ensure you are not an average person. |

MadCow1: Pasuma at the Crusade was a brilliant idea.
What better way to attract riff riffs into church. With Pasuma performing some moderate songs that are church appropriate, the crowd would turn up and when they turn up, you minister to them.
It's just sad that the church today is meant for the saved and not for the damned as it was originally meant to be by Christ. I disagree with this. You can as well ask Pastor Adeboye to allow Afro candy lead praise and worship so people with por.n tendencies can be brought to Christ. |

So easy. Get a sharp knife and cut some pounds of flesh out carefully.
Have a weighing scale nearby and constantly measure as you cut out till you achieve the desired body weight.

Even though I don't care for either of them, basket mouth abi na basket brain should shut his mouth.
Anyone somewhat has a right to charge another party that requires his/her service any amount. If the amount is unreasonable to the other party, he/she walks away, not mentioning it in the media and comparing the "erring" party with a "more buzzing act".
And Sean Tizzle's response is like someone that was typing on drugs.
In conclusion, topic is silly and doesn't deserve front page. |

thesoj: @meko007 Yes they automatically exchange information when you apply to either embassy. Don't even think about withholding this information. See this and this.
@sholay2011 glad you got your TRV without stating your prior US denial. This is often grounds for getting an application denied. Woah! You mean I am actually expected to state that I have been denied by the US? And where would I even state that (SOP?) 'cos it's not like there is a special column for that? O ga ooo. |

meko007: plzzzzzzzzzzz help needed urgently plzzzzzzz!!!! i got denied Canadian student visa 3 weeks ago and now im planning on applying to a school in america.
questions below; 1.does Canada share any data with USA based on visa entries? 2.if i use a company my sponsor, should my tuition fees be paid in full since a company sponsoring me? 3.how long does USA embassy takes to process a student visa? 1. Canada may as well share any data deemed fit with USA, admittedly or not, but you have nothing to worry about regarding a recent visa denial from either country, so far you are not a threat to national security. I was denied by US twice and applied to Canada (without any reference to the US visa denial) and got it. 2. In my opinion, it will do you a lot of good if the company can pay full tuition. My reason is any sponsor that's not one's parent or very close relative, let alone not an individual but an entity like the 'company' that wants to sponsor you must really show their financial commitment to the VO in ways more than a bogus bank statement with good cash flow. I believe paying full tuition is one of these. 3. US embassy na sharp sharp tinz Oga. You will have an interview with the Visa Officer which finalises if one is given the visa or not. If you're lucky to get an available close date, you can get the US visa within 2 weeks IF the interview goes well. Also visit the US visa thread on Nairaland because US visa interview is a different ballgame. You are highly favoured in Jesus name. |
