FamilyRe: Dear Nairaland Family. . . . .how Do You Define A 'KRAY-KRAY'? by shooze: 11:26pm On Nov 28, 2014
Nairaland and double standards. If the vjayjay had been posted by someone else I can imagine the insults that would have been showered on the person regardless of it it was used as her display picture

DeeMain has said it all. The same way ladygaga is often called crazy and free spirited when she is clearly bipolar but at least in her case she knows she has issues and is dealing with it

Anyone who uses a picture of her vjay as a profile picture clearly has several screws missing and needs to get their head examined

Bebe I don't have the time or power to argue with you. You can continue to live in lala land . Using Jennifer hudson as an example is comical but I dont even need to go into that. I am a beautiful size 14 and I am certain when it comes to looks you cant hold a candle to my curvy Behind kiss
FamilyRe: OPINION: If You Know You can't Keep To Your Marital Vow, Please, Remain Single! by shooze: 8:58pm On Oct 12, 2014
I dont eat bokoto , chocolate and all the other crap and I still add weight because I sit for long hours. I am presently a size 14 and have been that way for years and that is a leap from my previous size and I can confidently say it has nothing to do with me eating junk

A good diet does require time. And I can state it category because I eat healthy.

Getting healthy food in nigeria is soo difficult go to any eatery in Nigeria the food is either deep fried or generally unhealthy. I make my own food and I know how stressful that is . It means I either go to sleep really late. Or wake up an hour or 30mins earlier than normal to cook. And that means waking up by say 4.30am to cook. I have had the privilege of visiting lots of foreign countries and I can categorically state it that its so easy to maintain a healthy lifestyle. You have ready to eat health options that all you need do is pop into the microwave and in 5 minutes your food is ready. You can jog by 1am if you so desire . The list is endless

Note that I practically work monday to saturdays .
FamilyRe: OPINION: If You Know You can't Keep To Your Marital Vow, Please, Remain Single! by shooze: 8:35pm On Oct 12, 2014
If someone wants to cheat he will cheat regardless og how fit ,sexy , kind or good in and out of bed. How many men in Nigeria remain the way they are after marriage. They add weight and become bald is that still a licence to cheat. As for coogar saying his colleagues jog. Try jogging on third mainland bridge to work or even surulere to VI then please give me feedback.

I am always amused when some people in the diaspora just stay stuff that they have not really experienced . I leave home 5.30am daily and get home by 9pm on the average and despite having a driver I know how fagged out I am after I must have sat in traffic for 2hours or more and this is me commuting from ikoyi to ajah. I have colleagues who spend 3-4 hours on 3rd mainland bridge daily and get home 10-11pm. The irony is adding weight is not just about eating bokoto as people often say. Not getting enough sleep, stress (for some people) long hours of sitting in a place actually aids weight gain

EfemenaXY you nailed it. The OP clearly hates his uncles wife and note the way he refers to her family with disdain. I am sure the woman has sensed this hatred and would rather keep away

FamilyRe: Single Friends Of Married Peeps. by shooze: 8:46pm On Aug 20, 2014
Its not jealousy its boredom that sometimes make singles distance themselves .

I have married friends that spend 99.9% discussing husband and kids. if its not breast feeding , its husband, if its not husband it is mother in law and labor pain.

Even when you stylishly try to change topic they will move it back their . I also have married friends that I can discuss anything and have a good time with. So I tend to gravitate towards those ones. The pampers association will put it down to me being jealous but guess what I find all the gist BORING

FamilyRe: First Son Named After Wife's First Love. by shooze: 10:05am On Aug 15, 2014
I find it strange that people expect the husband to just accept it. If tables were turned I would be really hurt. I can't imagine my husband naming my child after an ex dead or not. I would take it to mean that a part of him still yearns for what would have been and he is not totally happy in the marriage

I find it very disrespectful

grin grin grin. The stories really cracked me up. Reminds me of a guy I was dating . Handsome and well spoken . Designer head to toe but he claimed he was a motivation speaker but I never saw him speak once oh.
It got so bad that when I am going to his house I will make sure I go with only N200 because mr speaker would raid my wallet.

I remained oh because at that point in my life I actually used to feel guilty for earning a decent wage and usually ended up with some kain guys.

the day I finally picked race was the day we went house hunting. He was like we will put the ac over here, the plasma over here, the sound system over here. He had finished decorating house and I knew that the cost would be borne by me. Mind you the ac was those standing ones oh.

I ran 440 and ended the relationship . I no tell am why I just said we are not compatible grin

Nairaland where every woman is independent and is a big shot. Gosh. If I am engaged to someone and I got robbed I would certainly expect him to assist financially because guess what if it happened to him I would help him out financially.

I would help a friend out so why not the person I plan on marrying undecided

Classy does not always mean expensive . I have seen people wear a pair of jeans and white t shirt and look classy and someone decked in all the designer gear and look like trash .

Odi egwu @ buy a small phone . After working almost 13 hours daily I will now deny myself some luxury because I want amu mba biko. I used to belong to that school of thot until I woke up and smelt the coffee .

Now if I want to drive a prado I buy it and I drive it well. As aluta and kuyle pointed out as long as you look classy and well behaved someone will come your way . In the interim please don't deny yourself of things because you want to snare someone so he does not fall in love with who you are not.

Be yourself , you only have one life to live

RomanceRe: She Wants Written Proof Before She Lends Her Bf Money(right Or Wrong). by shooze: 4:21pm On Nov 10, 2013
Freecocoa , I would advice your friend not to loan the guy the money with or without collateral. Money introduced too early in a relationship either by the man or the woman often ends up destroying it. I have been down this road not saying everyone is the same but sometimes people do have intention of paying back but things may not work out as planned and then the business goes bad. I gave an ex 1mm once for a business and next thing the guy started acting up and at the end of the day I had to break up and till today my money enter voice mail. So my dear if you know you can't easily let go of the money let him go please because if you loan him the money and he can't pay the relationship will probably end anyway as you will start to resent him. Just my own humble thots .
PoliticsRe: Seun Kuti On Oduah's Car Scandal by shooze: 8:28am On Nov 03, 2013
Politicians will continue to steal because they know at the end of the day their " kinsmen" will always have their back. It has now turned to a tribal war ibo this and yoruba that. I am sure the politicians will be laughing at how dumb we are. We honestly deserve the people that rule us .

Serubawon I wish you a happy married life. Read the whole thread this night and I am inspired. I do not mean to derail the thread but I feel I can get good advice here which I may not get if I start a thread. I am presently depressed and confused. I have had series of relationships they would usually start out well then fizzle out. I am basically a very nice person when I love someone even if its just a friend I can give mh eyes out. An ex told me I was too nice and that's why he ended it . I have tried following all the rules and read every book on dating but I don't know what else to do. I just ended a relationship this evening because I felt It was a little too one sided I.e. I did more of the visiting and all and he sometimes acted like I was bother. I am open to any suggestions and I am willing to answer any questions and accept any changes .

FamilyRe: For Abused Wives, Girlfriends & Men!!! by shooze: 9:50pm On Sep 23, 2013
Single women actually get discriminated against by landlords . My job involves me changing locations and I usually get asked " how is your husband or fiancee" when looking for an apartment but I have learnt to look the landlords right in the eye and say I don't have one and I don't plan on getting one soon. A lot of people remain in abusive relationships because of what people will say or if I leave this one am I sure a better one will come . I have been in a relationship where I would be told stuff like " you know u are old , if I don't marry you no one else will" and do quick and let's marry so you can have kids because at this rate you may not have kids" I am in my mid - thirties and initially I must confess I was scared but I walked out of that relationship despite being told by all and sundry to " manage " him. I would honestly rather be single and happy than married and miserable.I have learnt to close my ears to what the society at large says because at the end of the day you will be left with whatever choices you have made and if you make the wrong ones the same soceity will not hesitate to mock you

Foreign AffairsRe: Texas Policemen Caught Beating A Woman by shooze: 7:55pm On Jun 05, 2013
Coogar please take it easy. I agree with both parties but truth is discrimination is everywhere even in our own nigeria . You hear stuff like edo bank, yoruba bank, ibo bank and so many decisions are taken based on tribe and co. A man is sent to prison for donkey years for stealing phone and a pension thief gets 2yrs. So even in our own country we still face discrimination talkless another man land .
