TRV UPDATE 28/04/2019 Hi Nairaland fam, Happy Sunday!!! Over the week, we had only one approval that was shared... Apart from that, things haven’t changed much. I still want to encourage those that have not shared their timeline to please do as this exercise would help us establish a timeline around how CIC operates. For those that have submitted their timeline but haven't shared all the information we need, please help us in sharing the outstanding information. In particular, we still need information on school resumption date and application type (new or re) from the following people; Godatwork23, Oni2019, docsaj, Cutieflaky, Klem28, Udomas, Ancy 26, Omarzx, and Iykedpetes, while we need information on the date that Valprincx upfront medical status was updated to passed. Also, if anyone has received an update (i.e. medical requests, eligibility, etc), please share because as it stands now, almost all of us are still on background check. By the look of things, it seems as though CIC is giving priority to those with closer resumption dates. Roughly 90% of the people resuming in May have all gotten feedback on their application – even though some of them applied after some applicants resuming in Aug-19 and Sep-19 applied. In addition, Processing time on CIC website has fallen to 9 weeks from 10 weeks in the preceding week and from about >20 weeks last year. The trend going forward is left to see but we can only hope that it continues to trend downwards. I reckon this isn't a peak period. Finally, if you guys have any ideas on how we can present this information better or what else we can add to it or remove from it, I am always open any adjustment that'll make this better. It shall end in praise! 10 Likes 1 Share

ndo Okay Mr Sherlock, do you by any chance know why many people are still on background check even though processing time has fallen to 9 weeks? I hope this isn't out of scope for your Sherlock Holmes career... Bracha: |

It's not Sherlock Holmes anything... It's amebo... Instead of you to focus on the processing time you were busy looking for other things Anyway, I'm sure you zoomed the life out of the picture and it wouldn't even have been clear anyway... Bracha Bracha... Bracha: 1 Like |

Hey, no need to get worked up. You will not be refused an F1 sudent visa because you didnt use your B1/B2 visa. Though, the VO might ask you why you haven't used your B1/B2 visa. Bleuocean: 1 Like |

Application Route, whether you're a new or re-applicant, School Resumption Date, Application Date, Biometrics Request Date, Biometrics Done Date, Medical Request, Medicals Done, Medicals Passed, PPR or the Current Status of your application. If you don't have all this information, you can just share the ones that you have and update the rest as you receive it. Chukwuemekatehi: 1 Like |

I remember you did your biometrics in Abuja right? I'll advise the applicant to book an appointment just to be safe and especially if s(he) would be doing it in Lagos. Crazy something there. I completed my biometrics in about 1hr 15 mins... Got there by 8:05 and was no 25 for the biometrics... By the way, booking an appointment is a seamless process and can be completed in less than 5 mins online... ILoveDLord: 1 Like |

Hey, I did an upfront medical examination. Hence, I did the medicals before even submitting my study permit application. In the case where you've submitted your application and a medicals was requested, I want to assume that they'd give you a certain form that you'd take to the hospital that wouldn't require your physical passport to be shown. However, If you have submitted your application via paper and haven't yet been called for medicals, I don't know how that would be done without a passport. Maybe send IOM/Q-life an email to get more perspective on this? OB411: |

Hi, I didn't take any form with me for the upfront medical. I only went with the documents they asked me to come with (international passport, proof of payment and passport photograph). MsJu: |
