February 28/March 1 is the last application date for remaining universities for those interested in Funding. Other passed date include December 15th, January 1st and January 15th (I think they are the major ones).

So push through those your application if you are still considering Fall, 2023.

1 love letter (Regret message/mail) just dropped for me ( Tulane University). Checked profile and saw it there.

But this not true in some cases . I applied to west virginia because my course is a fully funded program and I think the goal pf applying to schools is to be sure if they have funding for your program. Not everyone follow the crowd, some of us really research before applying

Seems one LinkedIn or Twitter influencer has posted how they got many offers from the school, it's same pattern, people just move to same Schools whereas profiles differs. Do your own search and be sure you meet most requirements..

He should check for schools that waived English proficiency tests for Nigerians or he should retake the test because no school will accept that

I had the same issue. I submitted my application there but I was surprised to got a rejection letter from them barely 24 hours that I submitted the application..

Why did you say this? Can you please share your reasons

With due respect, there are some courses that shouldn't be studied as an International student.... E get why....

I submitted my transcript and they rejected it asking me to evaluate it and most people that applied there said they didn't evaluate theirs.

Dear Japa aspirants,

You need to develop research skills, learn to access first-hand information and stop crying about knowledge hoarding. Look, data is cheap, almost everyone has access to an electronic device, and everything is online. Google and Youtube are the best free databases on the internet. Learn how to use them to your advantage.

The truth is, you will always feel/be at a disadvantage when you subject the extent of your success to word-of-mouth tips and advice. Sometimes I wonder what information people are “hoarding”, that is not available on the internet. That is why you are getting scammed, cheated and lied to because you lack the discretion /interest to verify and research information on your own.

Matter of fact, immigration guidelines change quite frequently. Those who have Japa-ed already are hardly checking up on the new pathways to PR or the cheapest universities for international students, you should be the one doing that! Your immigration consultants and agents all get their updates from official government websites that are readily available to everyone. Develop your research skills! It will help you a long way, be conversant with official sources, government websites and the likes, and double-check the tidbits you hear. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t seek advice or tips from someone that has been there and done that, but that should not be the entirety.

Lastly, nobody is hoarding any information! Every information you will need to immigrate to any part of the country is readily on the internet. If you have questions about a certain program in a particular university, go to their website, there are emails, and phone numbers that you can call. Learn the process and be persistent! Stop waiting for ready-made information! Stop waiting for someone to do their due diligence and then spoon-feed you. You will continue to be disadvantaged and left behind if you do not know how to get first-hand information.

By the way, you shouldn't halt your immigration plans simply because Nigerians in the diaspora are discouraging you. Go and verify!

He can actually get a date without his I_20. Check page 210_219 of this thread. Please accept the offer. You can always reject an offer when you dream school comes but an offer may not wait for long.

It’s not possible, you need the sevis number on ur i20 for visa processing. You have to wait till after you’ve gotten your i20 .

Good luck! Just know that if you get married and your wife joins -if both of you get granted visa, she’ll forever be a dependent in the course of your study unless u change your immigration status to file for her. Also, TA stipend covers only you… so if you dont have additional funding, you might get rejected. US dey tough for 1 breadwinner type of family…u fit be breadwinner.. then ur wife go be chinchin winner .. both of you can sandwich with geisha and egg sauce. Good luck

Yesterday New haven sent me a love letter even before valentines day
I just started my study abroad journey and that school was my first application ever
I'm not down or bothered, it's normal to be turned down but we shall rise to fight again.
For those turned down as well let's keep hoping and keep trying, we shall get there.

Imagine a guy telling me that i am dreaming big all because I said i want to acquire skills. The lady is struggling, you are also struggling too because why didn't you wife her since all these while. It's now that she has admission you want to rush wedding, just make you are scared of failure. Make una shift abeg.

I would advise that you take action and let your mom know her place in your marriage. She should not meddle in you people's affairs. One of my uncle has a similar story when he got married to his wife he was taking charge the way he could, gradually his mom started controlling the marriage by giving the wife money for upkeep. It got to a stage that my uncle's mom never wanted to see his son again, like she disowned him and took the wife as her child. My uncle has left the house for the wife now

I think he should resuest for his own waiver code because someone shared a waiver code she got from Kent state with us in a group and almost everybody used the waiver code, abd then Kent state university stated cancelling all those applications with waiver code. I was a part of it. They only left the one with intending payment. So, I would advise that he request for it either from the graduate school or from the department

Have you applied to University of Florida? If interested, send Dm let me give you the waiver code. I got it from advisor yesterday, and would be willing to share with you to increase your option.

NB: I have no idea if it works in other engineering field, but was sure that it was sent because of the bolded. I don't know if it is one time code or can be used by multiple people at same time. I am willing to make offer of first usage to you.

You can’t book an appointment yet. You need the 1-20 and you should pay the sevis fee too. Electronic (Emailed) I20 are acceptable. There’s enough time for visa waka. August is still far.

Most people will be blaming the lady without asking the guy questions because you 'all heard money is involved. I blamed the lady, whenever one wants to embark on something like this you don' t seek help from boyfriend because they will always have a sense of entitlement. And for the guy, its not too late to start your own process if you truly like your girlfriend. You can also apply to the same school as hers or other one too. When you also get there you will be looking for a means to get your own paper too. The girl may love but she may not be ready to marry now, maybe she's still trying to find her path. Best of luck. Not really, there is a guy on LinkedIn that post these waivers. His name begins with cosmos.K.a.t. Obeng. Can't remember his full name. I have searched for the name on LinkedIn. You can check him out. He post alot of free waivers
