18 IMVHO is still too young to make such decision. i understand that most in your age group have those questions "what am i" "who is God" why does allow bad things to happen" 'what can he do for me' 'proof of his existence' etc. IM0, you are still in that phase. i wouldnt put a final stamp on it because life is so unpredicatble you may never know . . .  . . . .

huge sadness and huge relief at least now i know the truth. then comes the "what,how,why" questions. it would definitely not been an easy transition regardless of how i was treated by stepmom because all this years i have been lied to and have the truth hidden from me. its an anger,pain,stress,'the what ifs' etc i need to let out and if it is not something, i can handle with and within myself i would definitely seek outside help because serious and life changing things like this can definitely throw you off balance if not handled well. it wouldnt be easy,or be the end but a new beginning.

Yeah you certianly can. Think about it this way, the locs are flexible, small, and stranded. SO! Whatever youc an do with weave, you can do with SLs and microlocs. Only thing is, you're less likely to want to chop them up into styles but if you want to cut it up in styles, be my guest!
Right now, I have mine in chinabumps (or bantu knots), and will be taking them out later tonight. I can wear them in this way or wear them in curls (that will be formed by the time I take the knots out). I'm making a YTube vid of that and may post it on here if you please.
I've also done upsweeps, sidesweeps, bands, and such. I prefer mine down with bangs (love bangs).

Thats one thing peole just parrot without thinking. What culture are they talking about exactly? Is it the culture practised by their ancestors in the pristine bygone era or the harsh reality of contemporary rent-seeking culture.
I personally know quite a few londoners who learnt how to commit various nefarious acts whilst they were sent to school in Nigeria.

idealistically, that is how it should be. i mean, staying how the many hours and days in labour, using your last strength, enduring 1-3degree tear, screaming the name of your lost ancestors, learning a new language on the spot and/or speaking latin and just to finally push that little cone-headed mini you out through that tiny carnal should do it as regardless to respecting, appreciating,little to no beating etc of the wife.

however, realistically if that was the case, we would have little domestic violent and more of those 'good' things you described but  . . . . . . . .
