Even international observers on election day from different agencies the world over agreed that Rivers State elections were particulalry violent and bad. Lives were lost. It was fraudulent. People were intimidated into staying away from the ballot. Only people without conscience will keep campaigning for those deaths to be ignored. Why won't they just allow the ballot papers to be inspected like APC has been asking for if there is nothing to hide? And yet some idiots are championing this as progress for the state, such a backward country.

Bayelsa needs to go through some sort of reorientation program for its political class and people, sensitizing the general public on what to expect from a leader and what the role of government is. I am tired of reading about the dismal leadership catastrophes the state keeps finding itself in, not to forget the last catastrophe let loose on the nation from that state. Leadership in Nigeria remains an issue but the one in Bayelsa is something else. Have they had a not-so-abysmally-terrible-leader for even a day since the state was created?
