Politics / Re: Rivers Guber : Falsehood Takes Flight by SkyBlue1: 1:31pm On Oct 05, 2015
Another fake hack of a story from the state governor not even worth reading. Even international observers on election day from different agencies the world over agreed that Rivers State elections were particulalry violent and bad. Lives were lost. It was fraudulent. People were intimidated into staying away from the ballot. Only people without conscience will keep campaigning for those deaths to be ignored. Why won't they just allow the ballot papers to be inspected like APC has been asking for if there is nothing to hide? And yet some idiots are championing this as progress for the state, such a backward country.

. .. . . . but justice would eventually prevail.

Politics / Re: Fresh Crisis Hits Bayelsa APC by SkyBlue1: 12:56pm On Oct 05, 2015
Bayelsa needs to go through some sort of reorientation program for its political class and people, sensitizing the general public on what to expect from a leader and what the role of government is. I am tired of reading about the dismal leadership catastrophes the state keeps finding itself in, not to forget the last catastrophe let loose on the nation from that state. Leadership in Nigeria remains an issue but the one in Bayelsa is something else. Have they had a not-so-abysmally-terrible-leader for even a day since the state was created?

Nothing. That's why he shouldn't even bother trying. He should just focus on the job he was democratically elected to do.

Clerverly:
When Will Buhari Stop all these political witch hunting and face governance? The international price of Crude is on a free fall because he is yet to put in place a cabinet but he is busy witch hunting Deziani Madueke. Between how much did she even steal? This government is a Scam!

I hope you're joking. You think crude oil is in free fall in price because Buhari hasn't chosen cabinet? You lot are a bunch of jokers who would only be annoying if anyone took any of you seriously to begin with. What exactly do tanoids actually stand for apart from the protection of people running away from the authorities home and abroad?? . . .
Politics / Re: APC Bayelsa Primaries: Sylva Declared Winner Of Rescheduled Election by SkyBlue1: 5:50pm On Sep 30, 2015
Bayelsa has always had a serious problem with very terrible leadership, and that is saying something considering this is Nigeria we are speaking about afterall. Sylva, Jonathan, Alams, Dickson, which one has been anything worthwhile? What a state. It's like the people are confused and keep thinking the question is "Vote the worst leader you can possibly present". . .

Politics / Re: Condolence Thread For Yorubas In Anticipation Of Buhari's Ab0ki Cabinet. by SkyBlue1: 3:11am On Sep 18, 2015
Another small minded, bigoted, myopic, childish and silly poster that has never left the village. You think the whole world revolves around your village mentality or that anybody outside Nigeria cares about your "tribal war" mindset, keep suffocating in your myopia while civilisation leaves you behind. And to think you might actually have children you could spread this disease to . . . . frightening thought.
Politics / Re: Rivers Governorship Election: “A Sham, Mockery Of Democracy,” Says INEC Staff by SkyBlue1: 5:41pm On Sep 11, 2015
ddippset:
I stopped feeling Sorry for wike long ago because Wike knew there was going to be a re-run and had already begun campaigning for the 2016 governorship election in rivers state by patching 1 million roads per second. The only people I feel Sorry for are the idiotas who are still arguing on nairaland yapping nothing will happen to wike.

The arguement I find amusing is "he will win it a million times if it is rerun". Fine then, let him win it a second time. I don't understand this fear people have of elections when Wike is a supposed "man of the people". Let him win in a clean election and solidify his mandate if he's so confident, that's all. That's assuming he doesn't go to jail or something.

Politics / Re: What Is The Problem With The South? by SkyBlue1: 4:32pm On Sep 05, 2015
Trash, plain and simple. Funny how so much trash has been emanating from the disbelief felt by disgruntled elements still shocked by the fortunate news of Jonathan losing elections. No one I know has claimed that only southerners are corrupt, all Nigerians wanted was for the government to take corruption seriously. The last president who happened to be from the south and who the people saw as a possible break from the oligarchy and hence in good stead to tackle the corruption quandry proved to be pro-corrutption even after all the trust the Nigerian people placed in him. We had an election, he was given the red card, get over it. People will support anyone who is seen as capable of dealing with corruption and support clean governance. Buhari happens to inspire that confidence. It just so happens he if from the north as well. That is all there is to it. Grow up and stop sounding like one who has never strayed too far from his village, the world is a big place and not everybody is as obsessed with what village you are from. Get over it.

Heromaniaa:
Nigeria is unique. Nigeria comprises different nations held together by a fragile bond. To forestall secession it is essential these nations have equal representation in the federal unit.

Nigeria is not "unique", that is the kind of nonsense people in Nigeria tell themselves to excuse stupidity. NONE of the problems Nigeria faces are unique either. Try a different line. . . .
Politics / Re: Nigerians Criticism Of Buhari WICKED!!! by SkyBlue1: 5:56pm On Aug 29, 2015
You're being too kind blaming the "media elites". It is not about media elites but individual people's fetish bigotted obsessions born out of nothing but greed, and bigotry parading in the name of nationalism. I hope Buhari is mature enough to not be swayed by all this empty noise and instead strive to do the job he was put in there to do. Forget all the noise you hear online and on the news, there is a silent majority. Underating this silent majority is what cost Jonathan his position. People want Nigeria to work and don't care if chickens being appointed as ministers get the job done, these people are in the silent majoriy and don't make all the noise hangers on from yesterday's trash make in their continuing bout to remain relevant.

Politics / Re: Jonathan Appointed More Than 50% Northerners During His Leadership by SkyBlue1: 5:16pm On Aug 29, 2015
And at the end of the day what Jonathan was judged on was his atrocious performance, that is why he was kicked out. Only myopic and small minded people look at the short term. If Buhari's government performs like I suspect, right thinking people would not care if he installed only people from his village. Not everybody is a beggar, as long as the job he was actually voted in to do gets done. Decades of "balanced" appointments has gotten Nigeria what exactly? Hire the people you think you can work with and get the job done. Improve power, tackle corruption, invest in infrastructure, invest in education, promote a conducive environment for business to thrive, etc.
Politics / Re: Anger In APC Leadership As Buhari Appoints More Northerners Into His Cabinet by SkyBlue1: 3:00am On Aug 28, 2015
I keep saying as long as the job gets done people with foresight do no care. You people think everybody on the streets struggling to survive cares about some tokenist appointments from their region if at the end of the day their lives are not improved? Keep dreaming. Let him appoint whoever he wants, 16 years of "federal character" and we are yet to see the real benefits of this so called democracy. Not everyone is as myopic as you people, free the man and let us give him a real chance. PDP had 16 bloody years and messed up the country, you think people will forget that so soon??
Politics / Re: Ekwueme, clark Others Slam Buhari Over Biased Appointments,anti-graft Wat by SkyBlue1: 4:26am On Aug 26, 2015
They speak for themselves and their belly nothing more. As long as the people are behind the president. With the representative government Jonathan ran what did he achieve? Bunch of charlatan jokers. We want the job done, THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS. If Buhari likes let the cabinet be made up of chickens, as long as the job gets done, no one will care (except political charlatans) period.

As for the anti-graft war. As long as those caught are actually guilty, I don't understand this preoccupation and obsession with defending my thief who stole from me over your thief who stole from you, it's nothing but a race to the bottom and I can't believe any right thinking Nigerian whose brain isn't infested with bigotry would not be in support of ANY attempt at a real anti-graft fight considering we have NEVER had any government seriously tackle the issue in this fourth republic. Shame an these so called "leaders" who claim to speak for their people.

Elaborate ceremony for "commissioning" of road that work has not even started on, talk about low self esteem. In the history of Nigeria how many projects have been started and not completed? Achieve first then make noise later. It seems Rivers State has reverted back to the dark old days of Odilli then. Useless propaganda.

Politics / Re: Nigeria Earns N2.5trn From Petroleum Products Export In 3 Months by SkyBlue1: 11:29pm On Aug 19, 2015
phyllosilicate:

I could remember how Okonjo Iweala was shouting how Nigeria was broke, how Nigerians should tighten their belt because of the falling price of crude oil and that Nigeria would borrow to be able to finance the 2015 budget. But in just 3 months almost 60% of the Budget has been generate just from petroleum products alone, not including revenues generated internally and other export.
IF THIS MUCH COULD BE GENERATED WITHIN 3 MONTHS WHEN OIL PRICE IS ABOUT $50 PER BARREL, WHERE WAS OUR MONEY GOING TO WHEN IT WAS $110 PER BARREL?

Sorry but you are ignorant if you think this means Nigeria is rich. Compare the budget of Nigeria to the budget of any state in the US or say just the city of London, then maybe you will keep quiet. And these are countries that already have developed infrastructure that don't need to suck money by the way.

Yes, like calling it witch-hunting when any politician from your part of the country, of the same religion or political party is being prosecuted.

That annoys the hell out of me. There has to be a lesser word than primitive to describe it, and it's even more disappointing when so called "educated" people do it, it is way too common in Nigeria.

"They are prosecuting our brother out of hate" - The same brother that has robbed you and your children of a future and has directly and indirectly killed the people he was meant to lead and protect and provide for. Nigerians can be something else.

Politics / Re: Twenty Four Hours After Buhari's Takeover....a REVIEW by SkyBlue1: 8:07am On May 30, 2015
otokx:
Buhari can not do so much until his cabinet is announced and the legislature in place.

In Port Harcourt, refuse has not been evacuated in over a week, the roads are full, overflowing and almost blocked by dirt not pot holes. Wike would have also asked Julius Berger to evacuate the trash then do the pot holes.

Patience is the key, initial gra gra will not get us out of Egypt.

Why are you even indulging him? Save your bandwidth for more intelligent and sincere posters. We gave PDP 16 years and Jonathan 6, but all of a sudden less than 24 hours is critical. Rational minds should ignore all this rubbish.
