2 years ago, if I ain't mistaken, she was the Queen of Jokes Section in NL. Quietly, I've been seeing her lines, updates and stories in this literature section all in offline mode but with this award to be, who most definitely deserves it if not "Efemena_xy"? Kudos Efe and I wonder which section you'd move to after you're done with the accolade from here. ![]() Sorry, but I just had to remove the cobwebs from this username to vote the true and deserving writer for the year 2012. Efemena_xy! |
April 1, 2012. . .None, nada, nil, zilch, nothing. . .Guess I've gotten too serious with life ![]() April 1, 2011. . .Yea, kinda popular but I got MOST of my friends (even closer pals) wishing me happy birthday online. ![]() April 1, 2010. . .Boring morning, called my friend up while he was at work to tell him I just got my money paid that's been held on for too long (which he was aware) and was congratulating me but then I replied "April fool" to which he replied saying I'm pranking with such when others are making money with theirs. I felt sad like "this guy don gimme better yabbing this morning in angry response to my prank". When I got the gist from him on the way forward, trust me to follow suit in the LOTS that carried that massive attack in the year 2010. I composed a disturbing text on mobile in Pidgin and English based on who was being pranked (Nonso, abeg I dey 1 big shit. Abeg help me wit 750 mtn. Pls its urgent. I no fit buy credit here. Sledge). I began to forward the message to selected contacts in my phone while I put their names and there, the deed was done. While some called back, I had to pretend I could not talk due to all not being well at that point in time. Long story short, I ended up with call credit of over 7500 in my phone as I had to bill people based on how I weighed 'em. (Even got the credit sent till the next day) Few even apologised for sending lesser than asked while some inconvenienced themselves for my sake to which I replied when I got the pin. (Nonso, thank u so mch, u're a dear friend. Happy New Mnth & APRIL FOOL) Damn, many did not find it funny and a particular babe avoided speaking with me for weeks while I begged like there was no tomorrow ![]() For my friend, he got about 8,000 worth of airtime and said a female colleague of his got more than 15,000 of airtime (paid for her BIS and did some share and sell to her man who was her fiance then) Some still dey draw me for their airtime sha but I don tell dem say e go with the season. ![]() |

@Maclatunji Been able to get a lil something something across to the account provided. Do confirm [Sledge - NL (Perx)]. Your continual efforts to see a greater humanity @ ease and peace shall be rewarded with good health and many more of your wishes and heart desires. Amen! |
Ok, I came across this video today (online) and I gotta say I'm really feeling it. Funny lines just like that of Jah Bless' "Jor oh" (who the artiste gives credit) and also the beat (instrumental) of Timaya's "All the way" (who he gave credit to as well). Listen and give your say on the lines and video overall however, if you do not get the meaning totally, it can be infered from the video and I trust someone will come soon to give us a full transcript even though I was able to understand a few. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ItufVgIe04 |
Great move maclatunji and yea, I did see the story about Perx a few weeks back if not up to/more than a month now and I thought to myself, I'll do something in my own lil way about it however, I lost it and never revisited that thread again.https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-869879.0.html#msg10188009 |

The 1K4N1K is a great move and I can bet more than N1M will be realised if the "1000 NL" really show forth. Having said the above, can someone get me the much needed information so I act in accordance. Thank you! |
A certain couple (a friend) had 2 girls while the wife was pregnant for a third. The husband clamoured for a boy when the second daughter was born. Behold, the lady delivered of another baby girl. While people were sending congratulatory messages as the news got to them, her 2 daughters went visiting their mum in the hospital and on getting news of having another girl in the family, the second girl who is just less than 2 years of age was like, "Girl again!?" On hearing it, I couldn't hold my laughter (a second child being a girl asking such when she nor come as boy). Guess she felt her father's pain and reacted on his behalf. Meanwhile, the mother didn't find it funny at all. |
First, I blame our fathers and mothers. Yes, if only they took the rights steps since the time of IBB by the way of protest, we would be having a good life (at least close to good) by now. Instead, they'd tell us to stay indoors and not be caught wanting by the government. Today, various imbeciles except the late President Yaradua have come in the form of President and Head of State of this so called great nation called Nigeria have continually increased prices of goods and services including our "curse" called OIL Is this the good life I was promised before I was brought into the world? I will defintiely not let my children come into this part of the world if these are how things will go unless I'm convinced. Forget NLC, forget TUC, forget any organised protesters under ANY body/union. They are there for their own "pocket". Check Channels Television and you'd see the heads of these Unions have been called for an indoor meeting. What have ASUU been able to achieve before I graduated? Instead, I was forced to spend over 1 year extra while in the University. What has the NLC ever achieved that has not been over turned presently? These people will be bought over and they'd be used to advise us wrongly. Is this what we want? Youths of this great nation, our teachers (even the Cadbury Bournvita advert) have always lied to us and it is high time we say NO! They said, "Chidlren are the leaders of tomorrow". How evident is that? How many young bloods represent us at the National level? How many? We are responsible for our lives, not the government hence we must take decisions via actions. Say NO to Oil Subsidy removel, Say NO to ethnic violence and religious bigotry, and say YES immediately and forcefully to improved healthcare, alternative and function transportation (not KEKE or Okada), good and improved roads, improved education (scholarships and grants for researches) and everything that we deem our rights, say YES to it. If you must remove subsidy, let us see what we benefit first as a nation and how expensive it is rather than let a "microscopic few" benefit its removal and enrich their unborn second generations. |

If tthere's any institution to be called useless, believe me when I say TUC, NLC and various unions "claiming" to fight for the masses fit the description. Must you be registered to act your right as a Nigerian? Whoever said that you needed to fit into any of those unions to be able to undergo strike action? It pains my heart also that so many (Nigerians) don't know the real use of the internet asides being bloody internet warriors. The simplest thing that can happen, PUBLIC (Government) & PRIVATE sector workers remain in your homes tomorrow (munch on all you have stored in your houses) and when these sectors lose close to billions of naira in a day, let's see who would ask them to give us the ONLY thing we enjoy from Nigeria at least for the time being (SUBSIDIZED FUEL). Trust me, this is harmless and I can assure you, no bloody police officer would ask you out of your houses to work. The government has successfully changed the prices of EVERYTHING in Nigeria by close to twice (if not more) yet we have no better alternative. Where are the fully functioning train stations? Where is the functioning refinery before you actually remove the subsidy? Where are the alternative sources to PHCN? (and I don't mean generator that run on fuel too) Trust me when I say many of us don't know what has struck us but believe me, it has hit very hard and if we ever let this be successful, then I'm inclined to say that we'd be prisoners in our country. Is it a crime or a curse to be Nigerian? |

Abeg to those of una wen get DSTV for house and for office, tune in to Channel 106 and enjoy the ecstatic feeling from watching Rocky III after which we enjoy Rocky IV. Soon, I'll be punching holes in the Naija government if them nor do well. So much for the quality music, "Eyes of the Tiger" |
dmainboss:Sorry, I just felt like making comic a serious issue (No offence) ![]() |
Please, Ben Bruce should be allowed to round up with a SONG by FELA. . .Abamieda! |
IMF and World Bank sent you to go back because your office in the World Bank would be waiting on you after your tenure in Nigeria's public office is completed. (Response to why you came back - Okonjo-Iweala) Lemme see what IMF and their cohorts will make outta Naija in the end) |
. . .Funny to see the "CABALS" sitting right in front (FRONT SEAT) of them and "SMILING" yet they are screaming do this, do that. People who control the government from the comfort of their living room via a remote control and a mobile phone. Russian's finest? As for Deziani, I know WACK indeed is her middle name and whoever claps is a dunce! |
AjanleKoko:How do you think he gets all the awards and appear in pages and covers of magazines? Hitler in the making. ![]() |
"Carrot & Stick approach" - So Oshiomole has been reading his Economic books too? I'm impressed. Anyway, I think he has finally lived to expectation unlike the first part of his sermon. |
Must "America" always be a benchmark? Why not start with someone your size? I pity people who TRUST the Nigerian government too quick! I will never forget this phrase since I was in primary school, "Children are the leaders of tomorrow!" - Bournvita, may your business also crumble for making us believe this line too. ![]() |
See as them don order PHCN to put off power for my zone when the correct questions dey come in. Anyway, I thank God say I still get subsidized fuel for generator when I buy hence I must watch the program go reach the end. |
You see the real heads proferring solutions in the form of questions to this useless heads and hands in the government? People draft proposals (sincere ones) and ask for meetings with many of them in government to better the economy and her people at large but what do you get? No! S/He's in a meeting, S/He travelled and is not feeling too well, S/He is on leave and from there would attend a conference yet there is no schedule as to when they will back to their seat for a meeting ONLY but ONLY when you wet the hands and pockets of the Perm Secs, SA, PA and co. Who do we blame if not we the Nigerians who sit in our homes and watch the economy rot. |
Now this corper will give a bad light to the "EDUCATION" sector of Nigeria but who are we to talk down on him when the stupid Nduka and others are putting pressure on him due to time. Time time time! ![]() |
This is now a boring show. Bloody people who are refusing to ask the right questions. Na only Journalist sabi ask questions? You know how many of them have been fed fat like pigs? But wait o. Is this some sort of Oprah or Ellen DeGeneres show where gifts are given? Imagine the President of Nigeria sending 2 shaky women to do his job who have used their persona from diverting answering the questions directed to their respective offices. How come no one questioned Sanusi too? Im don use big numbers shut all of them up. Dullards! Na dem full the room. See Ngozi speaking like someone's mum after the whole merry-go-round. I hope she tells the same to IMF and World Bank about stealing cos we all know what they do. Abeg make dem round up the show jare and quit calling on hEFCC (where's Rita from Koko Mansion?) But Lagarde of IMF set pass Ngozi o, How come many of our women refuse to remain in shape? Until I see Deziani in skirt and blouse, I refuse to accept her "sextiness". #NuffSaid! |
Do I suspect tears in "madam's voice"? Abeg, don't cry me a river. . .people in power are sure sweet talkers. When they meet their match in terms of proper restructuring the economy/country, they use their powers and offices to shut them up. EFCC? A toothless barking puppy! (Clueless fifu)Offtopic - What is it with people in power and grey hair? Some clarify, please! |
How come Oshiomole had so much time than the more interesting people like Ben Bruce? Abeg Ben, bring back the music. I guess it is still what we call "politricks". . .I dey vex. |
