@Sarcastic:
First, you have to understand that this is a very public forum and as such, you would get nay sort of advice/insult/yabis, e.t.c, especially since such replies are "anonymous"! Do some sifting and take that which you fancy as useful. wink

I did take your response of 5:20am into consideration.
I am surprised that your wife did not make any effort at reconciliation (l hate to believe she is just not interested in the marriage anymore!).
Men can do 'shakara' a bit but deep down, they are waiting for the woman to show some recompense and they come running back like "little Mummy's boy! grin
I have actually seen that in your statement (that you're expecting to forgive her only if she could just show some remorse!)

Now, l would say "dont rush" into divorce straight-away. Watch how things unfold for now.

The one year separation is for you to clear your head and garner your feelings.
I am hoping your wife would realize that the window of opportunity is closing real fast.
Some women are arrogant and saying sorry/apologizing seems like its beneath them.
Am also shocked that she has gone to the Registry already! Its not a good sign at all.

Well, if you "misbehave" and you dont have someone "you respect" to bring you back to your senses, l guess all hope could be lost!
Her Dad needs to think whether its worth it to encourage her daughter this way.
"Good elders" (assuming he really did behave the way you said, l am giving him a lot of slack here!) always try to bring about amicable settlements of marital issues, NOT pour more fuel into the fire!

Am happy at your stance concerning your kids, too many men are being wrongly labelled "walk-away" Dads, these days. Do everything for them.

Thank your stars you're not resident "abroad" otherwise, you will be the one that will be thrown out of your house, you will beg to see your kids and upon it, you will be forced to pay "punitive rate" of child-support! For daring to challenge your wife! huh

Remember to allow the children 'full access' to their Mother, no one else can be their Mum.

Dont even talk her down in their presence.
When they mature and start asking questions, only then should you let them know why it went this way. Start documenting issues henceforth.

All said, l am still hoping your wife would realize her folly and retrace her steps.
Be willing to forgive EVERY GENUINE request for forgiveness and remorse, we also offend God, mind you!
wink

By now, you've got enough "advice and insults".
Walk away from this thread. Its beginning to outlive its usefulness, believe me.

May god guide and give you wisdom henceforth.

Lastpage.
Now I agree with lastpage but do not agree with the part I highlighted above. U must show that you're a man and a tactical one at that. So like I said deny her access too those children. A woman's real torture will come from the lack of communication to her kids. Do not give the feeling that you want her back.
FamilyRe: Can You Continue With The Marriage? by sleekman(m): 7:50pm On Sep 04, 2011
@Poster Ure a dumb idiote . Did u come up to Nairaland to get views to know whether it's fair to divorce your wife? See how easy it is for you to jump out of your marriage. What gives u d guarantee that your next wife wouldn't cheat on u if like others have alleged here that your bedroom skills are dismal? Damn man that was fast. So hastily done. It seems uren't ready for marriage. Ure married already so make it work. Real men have learnt to develop patience as a virtue but you my 'friend' obviously is lacking in that area. U better pocket that your John thomas until u get signs to know whether to move on or to wait. Yes, it's true your father-in-law is an 'irrational being' if he acted that way. My father always tells my sisters that there are no rooms in his house so they better fight to make their marriages work. 7 sisters 6 happily married and the last one about to. I'm not saying they never had marital issues but then my father always took sides with their husband even when they(husbands) were wrong. All he needed to do was to call for the husband later and tell him his mistakes and that way they appreciate him(my dad) more.
I'll advice you and I'll make it short. Do not start dating other women, 2 wrongs don't make a right rather be patient. Do not go to see her parents anymore, don't accept any calls from them or her. If she really wants her marriage back, she'll come begging with her people. One thing you should understand is this. In the western nations the judge would require u to move out instead of your wife because of the kids but the Nigerian/African system produces more  results. When a woman is away from her kids and you stop all forms of communication between them then reality begins to dawn on her fast. So u'll get response time in a much shorter time and I bet you, your wife will be as good as new. If in three months you don't get the response you desire then you can set in motion more drastic moves like getting a very beautiful woman you know you can't marry and flaunt her about town. Do this for a month or 2 and if this doesn't work then take the high road.
It is very important you keep your John Thomas and don't go around eating another woman's food. You know how fast ladies want to lure including deceiving any man they deem of good marriage material.
So please listen and be patient.

Gather what eveidence? Na wa for some people sef. Until he comes home one day from work to see his wife giving her boyfriend BJ b4 he'll know what to do? Your wife has estimated u to  be a weakling. The only way to rectify the situation is to barbarically apply certain measures that will either fix it or stop the humiliation. Please note that babaric doesn't mean hitting ur wife. My guy although I'm not a proponent of failed marriages/divorce I have to recommend some immediate steps to take because with what you've said above, if true can send u to an early grave.
1. With immediate effect lock up store
2. Send wife out/packing, it has to be done ruthlessly.
3. Send kids to ur mum or someone u feel can take care of them temporarily.
4. If she shows up with her people begging then she still wants to be married and there and then spell out ur terms for taking her back.
5. If she doesn't then ur wife's heart has been given to another man. So here ure faced with 2 lines of action to adopt. Wait until she realises she's been stupid or after waiting you move on with ur life.

Cheers mate it's up to you.

How can a player be an umpire?
The body he is to head is not an umpire body rather it is like a research body. Please lets get our facts right. This kind of body should be created for the petroleum industry also to stimulate research and fabrication/production of parts for our refineries. Its about time we export semi finished petroleum products rather than exporting raw crude

I quite agree with both of u.Dangote who is building the largest Cement factory will NEVER allow the product to be readily available how then will he recoup his money?
It makes perfect sense to put him in charge of the body. Lets look at this from an economic standpoint. Dangote as head of that body will help to fast-track the whole technology indigenization thing. They say "Na those wen wear shoe na dem know where e dey pinch dem" So if in a year or two Oga Jona says I want a bag of cement to be N1000 then Oga Gote will have no excuse. It's about time we utilize all the engineers, fabricators, thinkers, this great nation possesses. Lets give birth to real research amongst our universities. Introduce stiff competition amongst schools and you'll see results in less than a year.

Even though I know that Dangote is a monopolistic twep, he is the best person for that job. Besides we need to start thinking of homegrown technological advancements in areas of oil and cement production. Instead of depending on the west for that. It will be a good fiscal policy that will in the long-run save us some hard earned forex.

I am a Nigerian, a de-tribalized one at that and would like to state that the competitive war going on at the moment is both healthy as well as unhealthy for the country. It will be healthy if in competing to outclass the other in terms of performance optimization, then Nigeria and Nigerians will be better for it but if there are selfish interests to these performance optimization then I fear disintegration befalls this great nation in the very near future.

They really should've asked the Nigerians they surveyed to write a 1000 word description of the business ideas. Dem for laugh tire. I'm sure not up to 1% have workable business ideas. And those with workable ideas usually do not have unique/original ideas; they are probably thinking of the same simplistic ideas such as phone card business or selling kokoro. Most are just building castles in the air.
My friend mechionu there. If Nigerians aren't that good how come Nigerians without proper education manage to get foreigners to part with their money if the business idea wasn't workable? Like it or not Nigerians are good business people with competitive spirit. It's just a pity that they don't go into into production instead plough their gains and loot(whichever) back into consumption

My guy don't mind some people here O because diamond is not that lustrous in d wild. It must be refined for it to be a diamond.
My advice is modern and straight to the point. You must show that you're are tactically and spiritually a man. What do I mean by this? Please don't hit her or something like that because you'll only regret it. I can only recommend the following to you.
[li]Some ladies like arguments like this to get their juices up. So after a very heated argument make sure it ends in some marathon mumbo jumbo. If you try this and it doesn't work then[/li]
[li]Get in touch with a friend who can squat you for 2weeks to a month and make sure ur friend has a girlfriend she doesn't know.[/li]
[li]Call up her family members and tell them you have moved out and ure assessing ur options, never tell them you want a divorce. They'll know how to handle her. Make a police report in your favour before you end up on the losing end, since you reside in the UK. If it was Naija that would't be necessary.[/li]
[li]Don't pick her calls, don't make any effort to contact her directly. Only know about her welfare through close confidants that check up on regularly.[/li]
[li]If she turns physical again on perceiving ur friends girlfriend around , this time do not attempt to opt out of the argument, get a rope you must have bought and knotted on one end prior to moving into ur friends place temporarily. Tie her hands and legs up, place a taper over her mouth. When you're through explain to her who the lady is and also you intend to separate from her. Once you're done get the taper of her mouth and untie her and ask her to leave[/li]
[li]Make sure she doesn't know where ure putting up. If she starts displaying real remorse then let a close friend of hers get the info on where you're and then let her slowly come and win you back. When she starts coming let ur friends girlfriend flash around the vicinity thereby she'll start suspecting something is amiss with you guys. If she suspects and she is still trying to win you over, then sit her down and get a verbal assurance between the both of you with no one in the vicinity that she'll never hit you or even insult you no matter the circumstance otherwise you've made up your mind on what you intend to do if it happens again but never tell her your intentions.[/li]
[li]Move out with some clothing's u'll need. Don't tell her you need a divorce just ignore her and make sure you don't call her. Only get in touch with a married female church member to check up on her. Let her do the inter-mediation, preferably d wife of your pastor. She needs to be really sorry for you to comeback and it has to be seen that you're prepared to walkout on the marriage but never say so.[/li]
[li]Make sure your friend is aware of your plans so that there is no backlash. Did I say this ur friends babe has to be really hot? Just in case I didn't say it.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Barcelona Vs Real Madrid: 3 - 2 (2nd Leg Spanish Cup Final) by sleekman(m): 3:35pm On Aug 18, 2011
I'm a lifelong madrid supporter but I have to be honest with the assesment of both legs. Madrid honestly outplayed barcelona but Messi is just too good. He is undoubtedly the best player on the planet. He performs in big games unlike our Christiano Ronaldo who always fails to live up to big games. I do have some points on Madrid's performance

Minus
-Mourhino failed tactically to pocket Messi
-Khedira isn't performing his role effectively because Pepe would definetely slow down Messi and not allow him the space he was given
-Marcelo is just an idiot, He was lucky not to get a red in the first leg
-Although Benzema didn't perform the way I expected I must say that Mourhino shouldn't have taken him out instead Khedira should have been taken out and replaced with Callejon, with Coentrao and Marcelo alternating between 3 and 4 positions.
-Clearly shows that Carvalho is actually reducing in performance we might need a new defender.
-I wonder how a Madrid team with Nuri Sahin as ochestrator would perform against the likes of Xavi and Iniesta in midfield
-Kaka failed to bring in urgency into the attack and midfield. In my opinion he eigther needs more playing time or he's a spent force in football.

Plus
-Apart from a few mistakes highlighted above Mourhino did well. He reduced Barca's dominance in midfield
-The chances on goal should have been clearly taken advantage of with Benzema being the biggest culprit but Mourhino's team is the only team to have so many chances at goal against a Barca full team.
- A highly entertaining game with lots of positives to say there is a bright future for this team.
-This performance would be a future big profit generator for the future because non of the premier league teams would give you this kind of exciting football performance.
