As for the ants you buy chineese powder. It's a white plastic bottle with a red elongated cap. The powder inside is white. Sprinkle it round the edges of the walls, in and out of the shop. There is nothing wrong with eating Eba, Fufu, Semo, rice. Don't be deceived by the white man bent on engraving us further. If u want to reduce weight just reduce your food intake and make sure you walk around briskly for 15-30mins everyday. If you must eat more rice then reduce the rice & increase the veggies, to eat more swallow foods reduce the swallows and increase the soups. Reduce meat especially fatty meats. Use more palm oil, olive oil, sunseed oil, vegetable oil and avoid groundnut oil.
Never eat after 4-6hrs before sleeping preferably never eat after 6pm. if u must eat something at night restrict ur night snacks to fruits and lots of water. This will also remove pot belly. A 44-year-old Harare man was dramatically fixed to a 38-year-old married woman during sexual intercourse - the couple is now being looked after at a Harare police station awaiting the anticipated arrival of the woman’s husband from South Africa, The ZimDiaspora can sensationally reveal.

The adulterous couple are rigidly attached together through their private parts and the woman’s husband is said to be holding the secret of this episode that has stunned local police and the neighborhood of Zimre Park Ruwa, Harare where they both stay in their respective houses. At the time of going to Press, the couple had been stuck for 48 hours. Commentators said medical science cannot intervene as it would mean cutting off the man's penis and could endanger the lives of both of them.

PARLIAMENTS

Parliaments are the backbone of that conventional democracy prevailing in the world today. Parliament is a misrepresentation of the people, and parliamentary systems are a false solution to the problem of democracy. A parliament is originally founded to represent the people, but this in itself is undemocratic as democracy means the authority of the people and not an authority acting on their behalf. The mere existence of a parliament means the absence of the people. True democracy exists only through the direct participation of the people, and not through the activity of their representatives. Parliaments have been a legal barrier between the people and the exercise of authority, excluding the masses from meaningful politics and monopolizing sovereignty in their place. People are left with only a facade of democracy, manifested in long queues to cast their election ballots.

To lay bare the character of parliaments, one has to examine their origin. They are either elected from constituencies, a party, or a coalition of parties, or are appointed. But all of these procedures are undemocratic, for dividing the population into constituencies means that one member of parliament represents thousands, hundreds of thousands, or millions of people, depending on the size of the population. It also means that a member keeps few popular organizational links with the electors since he, like other members, is considered a representative of the whole people. This is what the prevailing traditional democracy requires. The masses are completely isolated from the representative and he, in turn, is totally removed from them. Immediately after winning the electors' votes the representative takes over the people's sovereignty and acts on their behalf. The prevailing traditional democracy endows the member of parliament with a sacredness and immunity which are denied to the rest of the people. Parliaments, therefore, have become a means of plundering and usurping the authority of the people. It has thus become the right of the people to struggle, through popular revolution, to destroy such instruments - the so-called parliamentary assemblies which usurp democracy and sovereignty, and which stifle the will of the people. The masses have the right to proclaim reverberantly the new principle: no representation in lieu of the people.

If parliament is formed from one party as a result of its winning an election, it becomes a parliament of the winning party and not of the people. It represents the party and not the people, and the executive power of the parliament becomes that of the victorious party and not of the people. The same is true of the parliament of proportional representation in which each party holds a number of seats proportional to their success in the popular vote. The members of the parliament represent their respective parties and not the people, and the power established by such a coalition is the power of the combined parties and not that of the people. Under such systems, the people are the victims whose votes are vied for by exploitative competing factions who dupe the people into political circuses that are outwardly noisy and frantic, but inwardly powerless and irrelevant. Alternatively, the people are seduced into standing in long, apathetic, silent queues to cast their ballots in the same way that they throw waste paper into dustbins. This is the traditional democracy prevalent in the whole world, whether it is represented by a one-party, two-party, multiparty or non-party system. Thus it is clear that representation is a fraud.

Moreover, since the system of elected parliaments is based on propaganda to win votes, it is a demagogic system in the real sense of the word. Votes can be bought and falsified. Poor people are unable to compete in the election campaigns, and the result is that only the rich get elected. Assemblies constituted by appointment or hereditary succession do not fall under any form of democracy.

Philosophers, thinkers, and writers advocated the theory of representative parliaments at a time when peoples were unconsciously herded like sheep by kings, sultans and conquerors. The ultimate aspiration of the people of those times was to have someone to represent them before such rulers. When even this aspiration was rejected, people waged bitter and protracted struggle to attain this goal.

After the successful establishment of the age of the republics and the beginning of the era of the masses, it is unthinkable that democracy should mean the electing of only a few representatives to act on behalf of great masses. This is an obsolete structure. Authority must be in the hands of all of the people.

The most tyrannical dictatorships the world has known have existed under the aegis of parliaments.

Nigeria is a good example. The idea of democracy needs to be revisited.

THE PRESS

An individual has the right to express himself or herself even if he or she behaves irrationally to demonstrate his or her insanity. Corporate bodies too have the right to express their corporate identity. The former represent only themselves and the latter represent those who share their corporate identity. Since society consists of private individuals and corporate bodies, the expression, for example, by an individual of his or her insanity does not mean that the other members of society are insane. Such expression reflects only in the individual's character. Likewise, corporate expression reflects only the interest or view of those making up the corporate body. For instance, a tobacco company, despite the fact that what it produces is harmful to health, expresses the interests of those who make up the company.

The press is a means of expression for society: it is not a means of expression for private individuals or corporate bodies. Therefore, logically and democratically, it should not belong to either one of them.

A newspaper owned by any individual is his or her own, and expresses only his or her point of view. Any claim that a newspaper represents public opinion is groundless because it actually expresses the viewpoint of that private individual. Democratically, private individuals should not be permitted to own any public means of publication or information. However, they have the right to express themselves by any means, even irrationally, to prove their insanity. Any journal issued by a professional sector, for example, is only a means of expression of that particular social group. It presents their own points of view and not that of the general public. This applies to all other corporate and private individuals in society.

The democratic press is that which is issued by a People's Committee, comprising all the groups of society. Only in this case, and not otherwise, will the press or any other information medium be democratic, expressing the viewpoints of the whole society, and representing all its groups.

If medical professionals issue a journal, it must be purely medical. Similarly, this applies to other groups. Private individuals have the right to express only their own, and not anyone else's opinions.

The bolded above is very true because people of power decide what people should know.

For those of you that have read through the 'Green Book', it's clear Gaddafi had a Godly heart initially which he lost along the way and got it back before his death. Pls no comments until you have read through all of the Green books. Let's discuss his books like intellectuals.
One thing I have noticed is his love for freedom and his desire to engrave freedom in the hearts of Libyans. He wanted freedom in every area of a man's life be it spiritual, economic, etc. However, he failed to realize that man is never completely free. Man has a maker, and that maker decides your fate not you. You just tune into the frequency of your maker to know your purpose in life. I think he deserves commendation though for making the Libyan population 90% literate. His love for knowledge shows how he wanted his people to be learned.

The will is said to be the only surviving copy of three identical testaments given to the former Libyan dictator’s relatives. According to a report by theBBC, the document was reportedly handed to the relatives, one of whom was killed, the second arrested and the third managed to escape the fighting in Sirte.

The English translation of the will states:

“This is my will. I, Muammar bin Mohammad bin Abdussalam bi Humayd bin Abu Manyar bin Humayd bin Nayil al Fuhsi Gaddafi, do swear that there is no other God but Allah and that Mohammad is God’s Prophet, peace be upon him.

“I pledge that I will die as Muslim. Should I be killed, I would like to be buried, according to Muslim rituals, in the clothes I was wearing at the time of my death and my body unwashed, in the cemetery of Sirte, next to my family and relatives.

“I would like that my family, especially women and children, be treated well after my death. The Libyan people should protect its identity, achievements, history and the honourable image of its ancestors and heroes.

“The Libyan people should not relinquish the sacrifices of the free and best people. I call on my supporters to continue the resistance, and fight any foreign aggressor against Libya, today, tomorrow and always.

“Let the free people of the world know that we could have bargained over and sold out our cause in return for a personal secure and stable life. We received many offers to this effect but we chose to be at the vanguard of the confrontation as a badge of duty and honour.

“Even if we do not win immediately, we will give a lesson to future generations that choosing to protect the nation is an honour and selling it out is the greatest betrayal that history will remember forever despite the attempts of the others to tell you otherwise.”

The testament is likely to further confuse the debate over where Gaddafi should be buried. His body is still being kept in a refrigerated warehouse in Misrata, four days after his capture and death at the hands of rebel fighters last Thursday. The National Transitional Council in Tripoli has been paralysed with indecision over what to do with the body.

Speaking in Jordan on Sunday, Libya’s departing prime minister was reported by Reuters as saying that talks were under way to form an interim government, replacing the NTC within a month.

One of many obstacles facing Libya’s provisional leadership is the question of whether, in the minutes after his capture in Sirte, Gaddafi was executed.

Libya’s chief pathologist confirmed that he had died of a gunshot wound to the head. It is still unclear who fired the fatal shot, and under what circumstances, with Amnesty and other human rights groups pressing for a full investigation.

Dr Othman al-Zintani carried out the autopsy on Gaddafi’s body at a morgue in Misrata. Speaking afterwards, he said it was “obvious” the former dictator had died from a bullet to the head.

He did not elaborate, but appeared to be referring to the entry wound clearly visible on the left side of Gaddafi’s head, shown in numerous shots of his body screened around the world.

“He died because of a gunshot wound to the head,” Zintani said. “There are still several issues. We have to pass (the report) to the prosecutor general. But everything will be revealed publicly. Nothing will be hidden.”

A team of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Edo State, medical experts have recorded the first successful stem cell transplantation operation in the West African sub-region.


The team led by a haematologist, Dr. Nosakhare Bazuaye, performed a successful surgery made on an indigent sickle cell patient, who suffered a stroke at seven.


Chief Medical Director of UBTH, Prof. Michael Ibadin, said the cell transplant began three years ago, when the institution assembled a team of 18 experts, which it sent to Switzerland in an effort to bring comfort to Nigerians suffering from sickle cell anaemia and other diseases.


According to Ibadin, with the breakthrough, the two-week procedure which would have cost about N40m outside the country can now be done for as low as N2m locally.


He said, “This is the first time it is happening here, and this is the first time it is happening in Africa, outside Egypt and South Africa.


“It did not start now but three years ago when we sent 18 experts to Switzerland in batches and in the course of doing that, experts from Switzerland came here to put up the infrastructure.”


Surrounded by some of the experts, including Bazuaye, who carried out the procedure on the seven-year-old son of a retiree, the CMD explained what the procedure entailed.


He said, “Stem cell means primitive cell; the transplantation means you are taking from one person and transplanting to the other. For you to get the stem cell, you have to go to the bone marrow, but then it is not every cell there that is primitive. The process requires extensive technical knowledge and it’s a delicate procedure.


“To do this, you have to break down the defences of the donor through drugs. You need to get this (primitive cell) from somebody to transfer to others.


“The likely beneficiaries include sicklers, one of which we just did the stem cell transplantation on. A procedure like this can make a sickler go from SS to AA. You harvest from one source (donor) who is compatible with the patient and transplant. Cancer patients can also benefit.”


He added, “In this particular case, a child at seven, he had already had a stroke and was at the risk of having a second. The person that donated to him was the brother, who is 14. There was cross-matching which had to be done, but was not available in this country. We had to bring in somebody from Basel (Switzerland).”


The surgery, which lasted two weeks, will take another month to determine whether the grafting will jell, but an upbeat Ibadin sees nothing that could undermine the process.


He, however, called on Nigerians to rally round the institution, in its effort to make the specialised surgery widely available at a reduced cost.


He said, “It is an expensive procedure but we are not looking at that as we want a breakthrough.
