Oksman: The question we need to ask ourselves is what was her offence? It's not possible that such treatment could be meted out to her without a reason ( Not justifying the ejection) the OP failed to tell us why she was treated that way. It's not possible that she was a good person and nobody is willing to take her in in the entire family. so someone has to be a 'good person' or else she gets locked out of her home. Naso |

Donsammy77: This is never IGBO culture please. No tradition in IGBO land allows a widow to forfeit her husband property for relatives, let’s investigate properly and find out what happened. women do not inherit property in Igbo culture, this includes female children of the deceased. |

And besides it's not proper for you to sell your husband's sweat just like that. na craze dem dey take cure craze, she won't gain anything from crying up and down at the end the family will take the house, do whatever nonsense with it and they ll still be after her life |

Cyntie55: Hmm, Sir. You need to see how frustrated this woman is right now. I know it's clearly on inheritance, but it's not that easy for the woman o. She's going through alot right now.
Her late husband was in a partnership business with a company, he owns 4 trucks, his family members have succeeded in hijacking the 4 trucks away from the woman and her children (this happened November last year). The man died October last year, just in the space of a month, they took his trucks.
Now, they're planning to collect the house he was building. The woman is really frustrated. I hope she win this case o.
It was 2 weeks ago this woman was crying as she was explaining to my dad. My heart melted. My dad and other people are really behind to make sure she win this case. I hate to say this but I'm beginning to think women from that side are raised to be weak, can't she sell the house and move far away from those people instead of running from pillar to post, why didn't she sell the trucks before they came to collect it instead if crying up and down. |

Women have documents for every property you acquire and involve lawyers.this one is another victim of ignorance of not her wicked in-laws Will be doing their vacation in prison.by the way where are the widows parents and siblings you think they won't rather kill her than go to prison. In some cultures where women are bought and paid for like slaves this kind of thing is almost inevitable. |

Charly68: I beg to disagree.. a man must pay his dues to his inlaws according to tradition of her tribe .. it is traditional rights not a slavery matter .. don't get things mixed up.. it is what it is unfortunately, the bride price thing is just another form of slavery, which is why women are forced to drink the water used to bath her dead husband in some cultures, as per the woman was bought and paid for like a slave. |
