In simpler terms, slut shaming is when a woman is branded a slut due to her sexuality. Since I reside in Nigeria, I will base my discussion on slut shaming in Nigeria.
Slut shaming in Nigeria is an old practice that has passed on from generation to generation and the real reason I decided to talk about it is because of its alarming increase in Nairaland. Every Nigerian female at one point or the other has been called a slut, an "ashawo", an "olosho", or something related cause of a disagreement with the male folks. The annoying part is that some women help men to slut shame their fellow women all in the bid to stand out.
E.g: Guy: Girls are slut
Girl: Not all o... Like me, I am not a slut
Correct response: Why do you think girls are sluts?

Ladies let's hear how we deal with slut shaming, I'm sure we will all be able to learn one or two things from each other.






How I deal with it:
Most times I ignore but if I get time, I give naughty replies like:
