Read more about military functions. They perform peace keeping, which is not limited to the use of deadly force. Mediation falls under peace keeping. Same thing the US and joint military forces were doing in Afghanistan and Iraq
The military perform peacekeeping function during or after war. Was there any war in Okuama community ?
Was Delta State government or Ughelli South LGA Chairman and other necessary parties aware of the so-called peace meeting ?
A thorough investigation should be set up to know the real people behind this act.

The truth is now coming out that Okuama people didn't pull that stunt of killing those soldiers. Why would Nigerian Army go raid Olodiama 11 in Bayelsa State today killing suspected killers of the soldiers ?
Nigerian Army exhibited high unprofessionalism by razing down Okuama community without proper investigation.
For those who aren't aware, Okuama community has earlier sent a petition letter to Delta State Government about one of the indigenes from neighboring Ijaw community of Okoloba in Bomadi LGA fermenting trouble.
There should be a thorough investigation to bring to book those behind this act that have claimed the lives of harmless Nigerian citizens at Okuama community and those soldiers that were killed.

Politics › Re: Governor Hope Uzodimma Signs Bill Extending Teachers’ Retirement Age To 65 by SoaringLife01: 9:13am On Nov 23, 2023
This is uncalled for. Most Nigerian governors are wicked towards teachers who taught in government schools.Primary school teachers are the worst hit by this wickedness.
Someone will serve the government vis-a-vis teaching for at least 25 years and after retirement they will be begging the government for their gratuity/pension.
Now Imo State has increased the retirement bar to 65 years, all to increase the suffering of the poor teachers after retirement. They will now be begging for their gratuity/pension when they are in their 70s.How many of them will truly enjoy the gratuity at 70s?
Don't get it twisted , I am not a teacher. I am just a concerned Nigerian who want the best for all and sundry in our country.

Your honest and sincere opinions are highly needed on this.

My brother is about to get married on Sunday and just today, the girlfriend has been threatening to call off the marriage over a little issue. The issue being my brothers' refusal to travel back to our village with her since he needs to be at work on Tuesday, his reason being that there is no movement on Mondays and he is a Banker and needs to be present to open Vault on Tuesday.

Please in your sincere opinion, is my brother wrong and is it a good reason for the girl to threaten him with calling off the event.

Mods please help a brother, please push to front-page as it needs urgent attention.
Your brother should be a real man by calling it a quit.
It is too early for her to be issuing threat to him. This is a red flag.
In this harsh economic climate in Nigeria, every man should value his mental health more than anything. From what I am seeing , this lady will give your brother hell- affecting his mental health.

Family › Re: My Experience With A Widower. All Men Are The Same by SoaringLife01: 1:35pm On Nov 18, 2023
You ladies should spare us of the cliche ' men will always be cheats'.
We are not cheats , an average man is polygamous in nature. Our ancestors followed this nature design and they had peace.
Even the Holy Bible stated in one of the scriptures that ' seven ladies will hold onto one man, begging for marriage' ( paraphrased).
What is disgusting is when men neglect or disrespect one of the ladies in his harem.
The Western world has discredited the good practice of polygamy practiced by our ancestors and now they are pushing LGBT into our throat.
A real man should stand up and reveal his status to any lady he is wooing. If he is married , he should tell the lady he is 'chyking ' that he is married. No need for pretence.

Terrorist sympathizers will come and tell you how the Nigerian army are cowards and are just attacking innocent civilians. Every thing in that area should be burned to the ground.
You sound so childish.
I am not from the East neither do I support the killing of military and other security personnel.
But the modus operandi of the military of burning down the businesses vis-a-vis crumbling the economy of that area is unprofessional.
They should focus on the IPOB rascals hideouts and enclaves and flush them out not destroying the businesses of Nigerians staying in the East.Afterall their taxes still contribute to that bullets they are using to terrorize harmless Nigerians in the East.

Babe1994:
Hi

I’m a girl in her late 20s, I live abroad was born here but spent most of my schooling years in Nigeria. I came back to do university. I’ve been with a guy now for 7 years who hasn’t paid my bride price properly due to the fact he did an arangee marriage and the divorce process is taking too long. I got with him in my early 20s.. and have a child with him. I believed in him but now I’m at the point where I’m honestly frustrated and tired. I really don’t know who to run to to express myself. We are living together but I really want to run away and start my life afresh but I want to be told the truth. I really want to be married and content, It feels like this guy has reduced me to nothing. Im so ashamed of my situation with him, it’s like I’ve disgraced myself and my family. I’m going to try and list out all the issues we’ve been facing.

1. He’s very confused about his career path. One minute he’s a musician.. then he wants to be a painter.. then he wants to be chef. This is a man in his late 30s

2. He has anger issues. We have tussled on some occasions and he threatens to beat me when he’s angry but so far he hasn’t

3. He has addictions. Betting drinking smoking. To the point where he drank so much that he almost killed himself . I was honestly fooled by the fact that he was a worker in the church and I “believed” I could change him. Young and dumb I guess.

4. Cannot communicate properly. To the point we have not had a proper conversation in almost 2 months but we are living together. I feel so lonely and stuck.

5. He insults me so bad to the point where I question myself.

6. He is not very hardworking and I don’t gel well with his family and friends.

7. None of his family ever talk about marriage or paying my bride price. All they ever ask is when I’m having another child for him. They have reduced me to nothing and I can’t blame them.

I will say that when I’m angry I can be verbally abusive also. He also claims that I’m too reserved and isolated. I feel like I’ve been pushed to the wall and I can’t recognise myself.

I really want to run away.. and start afresh. Where will I start from? I have a son how easy will it be to find love again? All the love I have for this man has gone..I don’t know if it can be rectified. He has really seen me finish.

Thank you .

Nlfpmod front page please

Thanks
From your story, my observations are:
1. You have to work on your bad mouth character. Men want to respected and every verbal abusive words you hurled at your partner is making him to drift away from you gradually.
2. Your child's dad is a disgrace to manhood. To be a man is not just having big 'brokos', it is all about responsibility.
3. Your partner is using emotional warfare on you, that is, trying to reduce your self esteem to a piece of 'madika'.

My Recommendation.
1. Run like Ben Johnson from this relationship...
Go start a NEW LIFE.
NOTE: If you are leaving the relationship with your child, don't deny the child of having contact with his/her daddy.

Hambivert:
Take this same Nigerian soldiers for UN peace keeping mission, and see how humane, kind and caring they would become. I kind of think Nigerian soldiers hate Nigerians.

Many soldiers join the force to bully "bloody civilians", while some become filled with vile and evil because of the supposed kind of training they underwent. Imagine telling someone to walk with his head all in the name of training. That is bullying not training.
Nigerian soldiers strength is sparogatively rekindled when they are faced with armless and non-violent civilians, but whenever they post them to Maiduguri or the hinterlands of terrorism, they would begin to resign or run away entirely.
I think some of the rigorous trainings is to help the military personnels to have a strong mental power during war time and when captured as PoW.
Career › Re: My Horrible Experience At A Military Event by SoaringLife01: 2:22pm On May 22, 2023
Most of the Nigeria Military rank and file personnel are WALKING MADMEN. Their mental health is in shambles.Hence you see them deriving joy in maltreating and dehumanizing their fellow Nigerians ( their salaries is footed by our hard-earned money via tax).
It is pertinent to note that we have few good ones among them, they are the real soldiers , not the ones who are 'cultists' in uniform(cultists in this context because of their oppressive idiosyncrasies).

Fineman2:
Story of the day;

Hello Omajuwa. I am an only child who is 42years old. My mother refused to remarry after my father died when I was young. She sacrificed so much for me to be where I am today. I got married about 7years ago. My wife and I have been looking upto God for a child. After pleading with my wife for us to adopt at least a child to no avail, I decided to get my mum who stays with us to help me speak to her woman to woman. But this made them become sworn enemies. My wife since then talks to my mother anyhow and disrespects her every now and then. It has been like that for months.

Few days ago, while returning from work, I heard their loud shouts from outside but I remained outside waiting for the shouts to be over as I didn’t want to be put in the position of choosing a side. But I had to intervene when I heard a loud slap. My wife had slapped my mother. I was enraged but I kept my cool, took my mother from the scene and catered for her. I have since not said a word to my wife.

All I feel when I am at home is sadness and depression. I have no peace in my own home. I have sacrificed a whole lot just to make this marriage work. The woman I married has become someone else. I have defended this same woman from my extended family for years. I have been labeled a ritualist and all sorts of name due to our childlessness but I have never cheated and I have always defended my wife despite knowing that she is the one with fertility issues.

Even though my mother has been trying to put up a strong front since that day, I know that she has been crying herself to sleep. I love my wife so much but I love my mum too. What could my mother have possibly done to warrant her slapping my mother? I think my wife is selfish and is no longer who I married. Why would she rather constantly inflict pain and sadness on her own family? I just want peace of mind and I have made up my mind to divorce my wife. But hope this won’t be a mistake? Is there still a marriage to save here? How do I go about it? What do I do? Please help me.
Guy don't be a SIMP.
Position your wife where she is supposed to be.She get mind to lace your wife slap and na she get fertility issue.

Haha, it’s called midlife crisis.

Just tell her she is right and start the dating process again.
Many of us think our wives are like our mothers . Marry and keep for home. The game is changing bro. I am sure she has a friend on WhatsApp with whom she has discussed this with already.

1. Plan a date nite every week . Go catch a flick and have someone watch the kids.
2. Do something together with the family once a month. Go to Olumo Rock and Beach . A family outing .
3. Don’t forget her birthday make it exciting ( get her flowers or money - depending on her love language)
4. Make an effort to show PDA infront of the kids. Steal a kiss 💋, slap her buttocks , call her sexy mamacita or siren.
5. Make sex impromptu. After coitus , ask would like a glass of water or wine to relax ( she will laugh and say , thank you yes or no )
6. If you are just Spooning dude , change into missionary or doggy . ( now sex and love are not the same) . Massage and ask her where she may want to be touched to excite her …

Make the effort !!! You might not be comfortable doing any of the above but as you mentioned it appears she never “ lived “ done anything she wanted to do . Her first born is 10.
And it’s been mummy this , mummy that !

I would give her the leg chain *

Don’t ignore her warnings or else someone else will fill the void.
