I graduated with a 3rd class in Chemistry from three years ago (I only blame myself for that) and after I finished my NYSC a year ago I just plunged into a depressive state in regards to my mistake (my education) and my future (career) sometimes breaking down in tears when I think of things I've taken for granted in my life.

I started working on myself a few months ago and I've made some progress I proud of but every now and then it's easy to be overwhelmed with self doubt.
I made a cv without work experience along with a cover letter a few days ago and applied for a few entry level jobs like graduate intern, sales, restaurant supervisor etc via jobberman and the companies email but I'm not too sure I'll be getting any calls from them.
I didn't come here to get sympathy just an honest advice or opinion on what to do.

Can I do a pgd in chemical engineering or just chemistry or pursue a business or computer/tech course, are there jobs I can get with my degree maybe to get skills and work experience?
I deeply appreciate any advice. Thank you.

Government needs to tax these people more from their earnings from concerts and endorsements rather than finishing ordinary people with VAT and PAYE taxes. These guys make over 50k USD a show and what do they do next? They pour everything back into foreign economies with their bling bling ballin lifestyles. Diamonds, gold Porsche! None is produced in Nigeria. Was reading Tekno talk of how he went broke and had to do a show for 100k USD in Cameroon to pay for his urgent surgery! You make upto 100k USD a show and you are going broke in a country like Nigeria? Absurd.

These artists could have been a very good source of foreign exchange for the stewpid country but their obnoxious tastes robs the country of that. A stuwpid government structure doesn't help matters either... And don't come here to tell me it's their money. If the state didn't put up the infastructure over the years, there will not be any platform for them to excell and showcase their crafts globally. Government should invest in building up capacities in the entertainment industry, help them export their crafts and tax them accordingly. Insist they follow some certain regulations that will force them employ more people too. That creates job. Rather than leave them burn millions on weed. It's the way it's done elsewhere..

Also, a sum of N121 million was approved for the refurbishment of some of the dilapidated equipment and furniture at the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi.

So I met this girl sometime back in March in Abuja she was very beautiful and was working in a spa back then, I approached her and collected her number after which she never picked my calls or replied my chats after I tried contacting her afterwards.

Fast-forward to last two weeks she contacted me out of the blues that she was sick, didn't have transport fare to work, she was broke and didn't have any money for food as she hasn't eaten in a days.

I got dressed and meet her in the location she gave me and bought her some little foodstuff and provisions then gave her 3k to hold for transportation to work until they pay her at work.

Guys could you believe that this girl blocked and deleted my number the next day? I tried calling and she it was telling me busy till I used another phone to call it and it went through, I asked her why she did that after I revealed my identity and she couldn't say a word she was just mute on the phone for about 30 seconds till I cut off the call.

I am still so shocked as to why some women behave they way they behave atimes.

The same Lagos rent law doesn't give you automatic 6 months rent free under the guise of 6 months quit notice. If the landlord knows his right you will be properly educated about the meaning of mense profit.

Agency fee in some parts of Nigeria is meant to be 5% of the rent while legal fee is 5% but some scrupulous agent would insist on 10% and even do the work of a lawyer ..Insist on paying agency fee in either 5 or 10% .Try also and impress it on the landlord that the agent wants to collect more money on his shop.

6 months quit notice is for a valid rent, once the rent expires, I don't think it applies.

I'll go straight to the point. I rented a 2 bedroom flat for my mum last year October, paid agent and lawyer fees, the agent never told me the place has the landlady living in it.

My mum was happy and moved into the apartment, I noticed that after some months she was complaining about the house, I finally went there to see her, guess what? The landlady is a devil in human form, she's an unmarried bitter human who was opportuned to inherit the building from her family.
This woman locked the well and told my mum and younger bro to source for water elsewhere, I was mad when I got to hear what she's making my family go through. I came to the house and removed the padlock she locked the well with, she called my mom and told her to pack out when her rent expires next week.

Well, since she thinks the world revolves around her and wants everyone to fear and worship her, I'll show her what real madness is.

I have decided to ask her for a refund of the agent and lawyer fees I paid since it's barely one year, she can't stress my family this way and get away with it.

To everyone reading this, I have one advice, never live in the same building with the landlord or you would have yourself to blame at the end of the day.

Please nairalanders, Is my action justified?
