Find the courage to look at the bible critically and do not be afraid of your being punished. The bible was written by mere mortals jews, based on their own knowledge. All the above indicate mythical elements in bible stories and makes one wonder about their description of God. Remember Yahweh is the local god ofte Israelites. God concept is universal is universal in most cultures. It represents mans attribution of the existence of the universe to a power greater than him because of fear of the destructive power of natural disasters and seeking protection from them, magical primitive thinking, personification of all elements and lack of understanding of the workings of nature.

Science is primarily not there to disprove existence of God. But to understand how the universe works. If you believe in the bible description of god you may need to answer how did God come into existence, why so wicked and violent why so discrinating to other races, favoring jews, why changing mind all time, how did he get a son in jesus, questions no one can answer.

At present no one knows whether there is a creating omniscetific being, so let us stop using myths to describe him or her. It appears belief in the existence such a being is not necessary for our existence because whether we believe god exist or not you will need food, shelter, water, sex, and you would be dead and forgotten like every living animal in time. I was goinhg through some research stuff on Darwinism and I saw where it was claimed that humans share about 70% of their DNA with a slug and I was like sort of confused with the whole theory of evolutionary trend.

How can man, a primate share about 70% of his DNA with a mollusc ? Scientific theories are not a perfect replacement for the existence of God since throughout history,some theories though cannot be changed but have been found to be faulty.

Your politics, dressing and wealth are either to impress the opposite sex to have access to more sex or to dominate other men to acquire more food, shelter or move faster to different parts of the world to survive. Your religious beliefs and worship is a means to control anxiety and seek protection from the elements of natural disasters and death. Your belief in God, heaven etc is a means to comfort your fears about the destruction of your ego and your genes. Your living as a nation is a means to acquire might and protection -think of an anthill and termites. Your seeking scientific knowledge is a means to try to control nature, acquire more means to dominate your fellows, save the human race and protect yourself from diseases, natural disasters. Entertainment, music, dancing, alcohol is to manage stress, seek a sex mate, pass on your genes. Simple.

When Jehovah witnesses knock on my door and tell me that God loves me and that He is a pure and merciful Father, I immediately question them about His evil deeds in the Bible and they start beating about the bush. This has nothing to do with science. When Christians are trying to convert folks like me, shouldn't I ask questions? Shouldn't I ask why the God they serve is so evil?

The reason is that these bible stories were written by Jews of different backgrounds and concepts of God. A careful reading of the New Testament reveals similar confusing ideologies. In the gospels Christ is depicted as meek, all forgiving and holy, dying for humans. In revelation he is described as a harsh warrior judge who orders humans to be tortured by earthquakes, storms mythical dragons and then kills them with a sword issuing from his mouth, then throws them into the lake of fire.

The tactics of these Christians is to use threat of hell fire to convert people and the promise if prosperity of earthly life and heaven to keep people in the faith, stick and carrot approach. Yet they say God is merciful all forgiving.

How do you know an extraneous being controls your homeostasis? Answer without quoting bible, Koran or any religious mythical Book. How did that being come into existence , what is his power source, why did he make these things and how did he require to have a son, angels etc? If you find it hard to answer these questions think again about what you know about God, and whether he needs your worship and praises.

The biggest problem to atheists and religionists as well is that the religionists describe their god in human terms- a big king on a throne above in man's image. Yet they find it impossible to explain how he is omnipotent, omniscience and never had a beginning. They, the religionists have no idea about the vastness of the universe, it's laws, evolution and so on relying on myths written ages ago to explain everything. The fact that we do not know for sure about how this God in terms of his origins, power source etc, if there is a God or not nor we know the necessity for his existence as things naturally exist as we know them. A being that caused the existence of stars that are millions of times bigger than the earth for existence cannot be limited by size of a throne. Laugh out loud.

Our concept if a creator that made us superior to other creatures is a reflection of our narcissism, greed and ignorance.

Since we cannot define God and do not know about God's qualities for now, let us stop formulating myths about him and study nature and live by its laws and rules. Stop deceiving people you religionists.

The case is very simple if the man was there before the church then he has the right to fight for his right and if it was happened that the church was there before him then he can relocate to the silence area simple.

In my culture, Isoko, we say thanks to parents or elders as we start to eat but may not bother after the meal is over. Personally i find its unnecessary and obsequious. Parents job is to provide meals for their children, as they had caused them to come to this world as a result of their pleasure-seeking sexual appetites.

It makes sense to say thanks when given a gift but not for regular meals or to elders who did not even give you the meal. It's just an ancient tradition that no one has questioned it's veracity.

It's a shame that we as Nigerian have been programmed to be illegal, it seems the culture has become epidemic or probably a genetic disorder. Nigeria has a long way to go. Some believe there is no way out but I know someday courageous leaders will arise and fight this monster to called corruption, resources will be equitably distributed, standard of living will increase, Naira value will increase, Jobs will be created, dignity will be restored, we will have value for life,what to eat, where to live won't be a problem, education will be affordable etctera etcetra.
