The Christian concept of original sin is that because Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, all human beings are born not only with a tendency to sin, but also with the guilt of Adam and Eve. For this guilt, all human beings die, as we read in I Corinthians 15:21-22: “For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. “ The concept that we die because of the sin of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden is simply unbiblical. The Biblical text tells us that Adam and Eve were not removed from the Garden of Eden because they sinned. The first time the Bible uses the term, “sin,” it is not in reference to Adam and Eve, but in reference to the jealousy of Cain against Abel in Genesis 4:7. Rather, Adam and Eve were removed from the Garden of Eden because there was another tree in the garden from which God did not want them to eat. That tree was the Tree of Life. Genesis 3:22-24 “And the Eternal God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the Tree of Life, and eat, and live forever: 23 Therefore the Eternal God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. 24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the Garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword that turned every way, to keep the way of the Tree of Life.” If, according to Christian theology on original sin, I die because Adam and Eve sinned, it violates the first part of Deuteronomy 24:16: “The fathers shall not be put to death for the children; neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers.” Every man shall be put to death for his own sin. One does not die because Adam and Eve sinned. It is against what the Hebrew Bible says. |

Bishopkingsley:You do know there are more than 1 god? Right. It was the Lord Ninghiszida who us a serpent lord that asked Moses to do that. Not the creator of heaven and earth. The creator detest anything idol.... |
advocatejare:There are some truths in religions..... |
In Judaism, God is God, and humans are humans, God does not become a human, and humans do not become God. ‘His mother was human and his father was God,’ sounds like the Jesus story. However, it is also a description of Hercules, whose human mother was Alcmene and whose father was Zeus. It is a description as well of Dionysus, whose human mother was Semele and whose father was also Zeus. Judaism’s theology is one of absolute monotheism, and one that separates man and God. The confusion of man with the gods is a hallmark of pagan faiths. The theology of Christianity is far closer to the Hellenist and Roman dying/saving man/gods than anything one finds in Judaism. |

Bishopkingsley:I don't believe anything.. I know it is the truth.. |
What about people that know that Jesus and Muhammed are not historical figures....what do they have to say?? |
God only gave us the people we should not have sex with in leviticus 18. As long as the woman does not fall into any of the category. The man is free to shine the Congo.... |
Mariangeles:Why should two consenting adults having sex be a sin? |
Bishopkingsley:Lol...very laughable... I am a soul made up of Body from dust of the earth and breath or spirit of God. .. God is one (Deuteronomy 6:4). Even your so called new testament agrees with me. That is if at all Jesus actually existed. But we all know he was created by the romans.... The truth will first piss you off before it sets you free.. |
The Christian concept of a Trinity is not monotheism. In the Christian New Testament, Jesus at one point claims to have different knowledge than other parts of the Christian Trinity. For example, in Matthew 24:36 Jesus says: But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. Mark 13:32 says the same thing: But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Jesus does not have the same power as other parts of the Christian Trinity. For example, Luke 23:34 says: Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. Why couldn’t Jesus himself pardon? If Jesus was the same as the Father, why does he call upon his Father to pardon? Because he was not God, or a part of God (which Christians call a “person” of God), and he therefore did not have the power to forgive, and he knew it. In Matthew 26:42, Jesus’ will is not the same as the will of the Father: He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done. This is also found in Mark 14:36: And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt. In the above statements, Jesus contrasts himself with the Father, with God, because Jesus knew that Jesus was not God. Indeed, Jesus often contrasts himself with the Father. He does so in John 14:28: Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I. Luke 18:19 provides a similar example: And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? None is good, save one that is, God. Furthermore, Jesus supposedly said the punishment for speaking against one part of the Trinity is not the same punishment as for speaking against another part of the Trinity. If this is true, then they cannot be the same or the punishments would be the same for speaking against either: Matthew 12:32 And whoever says a word against the Son of man will be forgiven; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come. If the different parts of the Christian Trinity are not one and the same, if Jesus did not know things that the Father knew, if Jesus did not have the same will as the Father, or the same strength as the Father, then they are separate and unequal to each other. The Christian concept of a Trinity is not monotheism. |
Kobojunkie:His has already written his laws in our heart. Men wrote it on papyrus to remind those who may have forgotten... God dwells in all of us.. Not in a house built by Human hands.... |
Hashabiah:He never existed my guy. There was never any need for him... God already gave the jews all that they need in the Tanakh(old testament). There is no mistake there to warrant a new covenant... |
Take a closer look at what wise king Solomon has to say in psalm 104:29-31. When God send his spirit humans are created When he takes it , they die and return to dust. So what is wisdom is God sending his spirit to hell? Makes no sense... Wake up the 4 gospel are scams Jesus never existed.no need for him
|
Kobojunkie:Lol...olodo, do you know the meaning of metaphor or Allegory? I have never for once said Adam or eve existed. Adam means man and Eve means woman. The story is just teaching us how man lost the chance to dwell indefinitely on earth. God is metaphor for consciousness. It is what we all are... |
Kobojunkie and Hashabiah...it has to be the authors of those new testament books you guys are quoting up and down that are confused, not the creator of heavenand earth. It could have been better if Jesus wrote his teaching or doctrines himself. But he would have to exist first. It is not called "Go Spel" for nothing. It is really difficult to get out of it. Hmmm, see men (or women) trying so hard to make sense out of nonsense. Man is just God's breath +dust of the earth.. when God takes his spirit , the body experiences death. All that is required is for the living to bury it. For to dust it shall return. The spirit becomes one with God,just as the body becomes one with the earth.. Shikena. Hell or heaven indeed.. |
Hashabiah:Lol...I guess you just stumbled on it. Those are later addition by Christians. Josephus is a jew. He knows the place of the Torah in the life of a jew. He even said it was even unchanged since it was published to his time. When did God say he had a son he was sending to earth as a sacrifice for sin in the old testament? The worshipers of Serapis where called Christians... |
Hashabiah:No body saw or knew him He did not write anything The 4 gospel are suspect because they where written by anonymous authors and way WY after the time he was said to have lived God never said he had so he was sending to earth There is only one God as contained in theTanakh God already provided a solutionto the problem of sin. Confess and forsake and he will forgive... There was never any need for Jesus.. |
Hashabiah:You made no attempt to refute... I am no atheist...I only worship my creator . Not a man that was nailed to a cross. |
