Why Asiwaju Tinubu?

To those yet to decide and want to rise above talk talk , let me explain to you why Asiwaju Tinubu is the best based on his performance and posterity.

Just to be clear, though an indigene of Lagos from Lagos Central senatorial district but by residence, Asiwaju was my Senator in 1992, by coincidence, his wife, Senator(Mrs) Oluremi Tinubu, is now my Lagos Central Senator in 2023. I will only cite few of his stewardship I can recall now. So those I listed below is not exhaustive

As the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Tinubu recovered what is now called Eko Atlantic from the raging Atlantic ocean Lagos Bar beach coast line flooding (for decades that problem even some of the more developed nations explain away as climate change problems) defied all solutions by FG and the highbrow strategic Victoria Island was deteriorating fast with businesses, embassies, hotels etc exiting VI in droves. During that time, the Atlantic ocean flooding reach the fringes of Ozumba after the flood completely take over Adetokunbo Ademola. Lagos State Government under the brilliant , resourceful and hardworking Asiwaju Tinubu solved that herculean challenge and today, VI is back to its glory.

It was Asiwaju Tinubu that brought back the Lagos Central Business District and Broad street commercial nerve centre of Nigeria back to life after it was abandoned, it's Asiwaju Tinubu who built major roads from Oregun to Lawanson to Igando LASU to as far as Badagry etc.

Asiwaju Tinubu is the one who fixed the horrible waste problem we had in Lagos and that LASTMA and BRT you see were created by Asiwaju. Asiwaju Tinubu was the one who got Lagos State to be part of the owners of Econet and unlike Delta State where the shares were sold and funds pocketed, Lagos State Shares were warehoused with professional investors in the state investment agency called Ibile holdings.

Asiwaju Tinubu increased bursaries to students of Lagos State origin (NULASS) and made public schools free for all Lagosians regardless of your tribe, religion or political party affiliation after his administration had successfully returned missionary schools to their original owners( other states later copied Lagos) . It was during his tenure that Ikeja General Hospital became a teaching Hospital, upgraded most of the clinics to General Hospitals giving free health to the 5 years and below and Lagosians of 65 years and above age group. .

The fund that BRF used to quickly build infrastructures were the LGA funds withheld by Pa Obasanjo and despite that Asiwaju Tinubu never owed salaries.
When the purchase of FG refineries by Alhaji Dangote was cancelled by HE Yardua, Alhaji Aliko Dangote ran to Asiwaju Tinubu after most state governments and governors in the SS gave Dangote a cold shoulder. Today, through the assistance Asiwaju Tinubu gave Aliko Dangote, Dangote Refinery is taking off to help us stop the petrol subsidy killing our naira and public finances.

Asiwaju Tinubu is loyal to those who paid the ultimate price for our democracy and today heroes like Bagauda Kalto, Pa Alfred Rewane, Pa Abraham Adesanya etc are immortalized in Lagos . One of the most memorable achievements of Asiwaju Tinubu for me was helping to stop the blood letting and recurring Hausa-Yoruba/OPC war in Idi Araba and Agege. Those hellish period of unrest defied even the effort of past military state administrators of Lagos but Asiwaju Tinubu was able to solve it.

That Lagos State Government civil service is regarded as the best in Nigeria is due to the hardwork Asiwaju Tinubu did to reform it, created Tutors-Generals offices, improved harmonized pay structure, best pension scheme for civil servants etc.
I can go on and on to educate you on the legacies of Asiwaju Tinubu still standing till today as my reasons for my confidence in Asiwaju Tinubu sir/ma.

I think nairaland needs to stop pushing these kinds of threads to FP. There's a wokist agenda all around it, the full context of his statement was intentionally ignored and most people reacting to the thread do not even understand the context of discussion. I dare say even the Mod that moved this to FP is not fully aware the context.

Wokist ideologies are always soothing and sweet until they comeback to bite you.

Autos › Re: Look Closely At These Causes Of Wheel Misalignment. by sonofthunder: 8:17am On Jan 30, 2023
brainjason:
When it comes to car maintenance, the term "wheel alignment" is not unfamiliar. People who have been driving cars for a while definitely understand when wheel alignment is necessary.

A car cannot run in a straight line once its alignment is off. When you let the steering go loose and the car drags to one side on the road, things are quite visible.

Wheel and tyre alignment signifies the process of adjusting a vehicle’s suspension components to set the wheels and tyres at specific angles in order to create optimal handling, enhance performance, and mitigate tyre wear.

However, you should be aware of the cause behind the concern. It means what causes a wheel alignment to go bad.

Here we are sharing some of the genuine reasons that hamper a wheel’s alignment.

Are these your car’s tyres?

Once your car starts to drift to one side, the wheels are misaligned. However, the first thing that comes to mind is tyre pressure.

In case one of the front tyres has low pressure. The vehicle starts to drift to one side. This is because the low tyre’s diameter is lower than the properly inflated tyre on the other side, increasing its drag.

Usually, the wheel misalignment comes into play when there is a problem with the suspension. However, if it's just a tyre pressure, why not go for a tyre pressure check first?

Get your car’s pressure checked by an expert at Service My Car. However, there might be an instance of leakage too. That will come into play once you inflate your car’s tyres and they do not sustain for a long time.

Additionally, your mechanic will be able to spot uneven tread wear and decide if a wheel alignment may be required. Your issue might also get a fix by a tyre patch or repair.

Is it a spare tyre you replaced recently?

Have you replaced a spare tyre in place of a flat one or tried out a used one even though it bears the same brand as others? Wheel alignment would not be proper.

A spare tyre misses out on the equality of wear and tear, and there would be some sort of problems in traction, which reflect during a drifted drive of a car. However, you can use a spare tyre for some time to reach the destination or a repair centre where you can easily fix the flat tyre and get it back on the wheel.

Same goes with the new tyres, replace the tyres in sets (front or back in pair). If there is any difference in the tread, it would definitely hamper wheel alignment.

In most cases, the service centre offers a wheel alignment when a car’s owner goes for a tyre replacement.

Are brakes causing your vehicle to drift abruptly?

If your car drags abruptly to one side on the application of the brakes, there is a problem with the brake assembly. Some parts are in constant contact with the wheel, keeping it a bit slow.

This friction creates drag, resulting in the car pulling in that direction. If you’re experiencing these sudden pulls while driving, never delay getting your vehicle to an expert, get it to one immediately.

As brakes are critical for driving, you cannot afford any problem at all. However, Service My Car helps you run your car smoothly.

Looking for the best kia servicing and repair? With Service My Car, you get to benefit from our extensive network as your car is likely to be taken to the best kia service dubai.

Is it your suspension that's causing the problem?

However, suspension of your car often comes out as a major reason behind misalignment. As wheels are configured at certain angles, there are always chances of certain disturbances over time. You may experience wheel misalignment sooner than expected if you mostly drive on rough surfaces or do not prefer to skip the potholes and bumps.

A car's alignment can be affected by specific components, too. Tyres that tilt are no longer positioned at the ideal angle due to worn or loose wheel bearings.

However, you should consult to a mechanic to get a quick diagnosis and fix at Service My Car.

Is your car’s wheel alignment due?

Your car might just need a fresh wheel alignment if you haven't run into any of these problems but are still experiencing drift. Alignment is necessary, but this can change depending on where you live and the type of roads you drive on.

However, regular tyre alignments may improve your vehicle's performance and tread wear if you frequently drive on rough roads or occasionally hit curbs and speed bumps.

However, if there are no visible signs of a possible misalignment, it is better to choose a wheel alignment at Service My Car at least once a year.

Service My Car offers pickup and delivery of your vehicle with quality service. You can rely on years of expertise in automobile care. You just need to book a car service or order a car repair quote at our website or app. Leave the rest to our skilled service professionals. You also get all the information at your fingertips.

Family › Re: After Being Single For Soo Long, Im Now Scared Of Getting Married. Please Help!! by sonofthunder: 6:16am On Jan 24, 2023
EriMma1:
This may sound weird but it's my situation now.

I have been a single and independent lady for a very long time. Though I really looked forward to settling down in my 20s and thirties but because I was the over careful type, I couldn't as I kept being picky due to men's character and behavior.

Fast-forward to my lat 30s, I began to lose interest and started getting more comfortable as a single. The upheavals in today's marriage also got to me. As in the way marriages are packing up, the cheating aspect, abuse and domestic violence in marriages all further affected me and changed my whole perception of the union called marriage. So I unconsciously resolved to remain single as long as I'm happy, comfortable and financially independent.

Some of the reasons I also made up my mind are.
As a single, Im very much at peace, with no one dictating what and when I should do things or get out of bed. I love my bed.
No one is body shaming me when I add on some pounds due to excessive eating and no one is questioning my eating habits as its sometimes the case with some married women. Also running errands when you don't feel up to it just because hubby wants you to do it. Some men can send their wife on errand like crazy and me I hate running errands. angry

No one is disturbing me when I need time alone which could last for hours. I love my space and privacy. So the thought of having to give up all that scares the hell out of me.

Now, back to the matter.

Recently, some close spiritual leaders in my denomination have been trying to match make me with a single pastor and that one too is shining teeth that he has seen a jimjim sister. When they now openly mentioned it yesterday with the said man around and he too was nodding and agreeing to the proposal, it dawned on me that these people are not joking. When I got home, i sank into my comfy space and began to fret. I mean... The thought of giving up all that freedom is just so scary. I suddenly discovered that marriage no longer excites me and my inner self was fighting it.
Also, the thought of carrying pregnancy for nine months with all the stress of looking after babies, tending toddlers ( poo poo) and that motherhood life made me sick instantly. The thought of joggling my job with family life gave me the chills. I see how my married mates struggle with this. Huh. Men...

I don't know. I don't feel cool about this cos it makes me feel like I'm about to be put in a cage and everything about me is going to change.

Now, before you talk about me not loving the man, I think I fancy him and can love him cos he looks so much like my ex of years ago. So that is out of the question. He is a happening lovable man but....... I no longer feel excited about marriage. at least, from what played out yesterday.

Do I need any form of therapy cos my family won't hear of it but this is my situation now ooo... Hmmm
Dey play oh

The years of regret are still ahead. Better evaluate yourself properly and let go of any selfishness. So the thing that's deterring you from the joy of motherhood and family is cleaning of baby poo poo?
