God forbids Tinubu wins the election, cos I don't know how Nigerians would go through the agony of referring to a drug baron as their president!
That'd be too much for an already battered people.
It's very sweet now for you to insult him and raise up accusations.

Hope you have the shame to match when he wins.

It's now so obvious that what people said about this particular mod is true.

How can a mod hate a man so much who's on a mission of rescuing Nigeria and giving us all a better Life? Why hate Obi so much because of his tribe?

How many times have you done fact check about Tinubu's drug dealing? Or haven't you heard About his drug case?

How many times did you fact check how he embarrassed and disgraced himself yesterday in Jos, isn't it so obvious that the man is not well and needs to step down now for PO?

Dear Mynd44, we want You to do a fact check about Tinubu's drug dealing case to show you're not a tribal bigot. Otherwise seun will do the needful of relieving you your job

Politics › Re: Did Poverty In Anambra Rise While Peter Obi Was Governor? - Fact Check by sonofthunder: 6:27am On Nov 16, 2022
Mynd44:
Former Central Bank Of Nigeria and Present Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Soludo in an article titled "History beckons and I will not be silent " wrote about the poverty level of Anambra state from 2006 to 2010 while the present Presidential Candidate of the Labor Party, Peter Obi was in his first term as governor of Anambra state.

In an article which many described as either very needless as they claimed Charles Soludo is merely bitter and angry, others praised it as they said it brought into public light numerous false misconceptions by Peter Obi's supporters.

Either way, his comment on the statistics of the poverty level in Anambra, got tongues wagging and fingers typing (mine included) and a lot of people have said the former CBN governor simply lied (but did he?)

Claim: Charles Soludo wrote that "…poverty in Anambra actually grew (from less than 25% in 2005) to about 53% under Peter Obi in 2010/2011 but fell under Willie Obiano to 14.78% in 2020. Yes, poverty more than doubled under Peter Obi and more than 50% of Ndi Anambra were in poverty under him. Go and verify"

This isn't all as he had wrote something similar in 2015 in an article titled "Buhari vs Jonathan: Beyond the Election" where he wrote that "According to the National Bureau of Statistics, poverty rose under his watch in Anambra from 20% in 2004 (lowest in Nigeria then) to 68% in 2010 (a 238% deterioration!)."

These two quotes seem similar but can also be be different as the numbers dont match but if we look closely, in the 2022 letter, he mentioned 2010/2011 which was mostly measured in 2011 and in the 2015 letter, he was specific about the year 2010.

Verification: According to a press briefing By then Statistician General of the federation and lead of the National Bureau of Statistics, Yemi Kale in a press briefing titled "Press Briefing By The Statistician-General Of The Federation/Chief Executive
Officer, National Bureau Of Statictics Dr. Yemi Kale" delivered in February 2012.

Now since the NBS does not release poverty levels per years, we can only judge with the 2010 report

It is seen that the poverty level of Anambra state as at 2010 was at 68% (see image below) which matches the value quoted by Professor Charles Soludo in his 2015 article.

Verdict: The statement by the Anambra state governor, Professor Soludo claiming that the poverty level in Anambra while Peter Obi was governor rose to 68% in 2010 and 53% in 2010/2011 can be said to be true and not an exaggeration.

successmatters:
Nobody gave Peter Obi any chance when he decided that enough was enough in Anambra state and decided to run for governorship. People laughed him off, wondering why he was wasting his time when PDP was the dominant force in the state and region. The godfathers controlling the state prevented him, thinking they will either buy him off or stop him with money, none of them knew how rich Peter Obi was, and so Peter Obi formed his Campaign, funding his team till he won the election despite all odds being against him.

Peter Obi met a disorganised state when he became governor, and as a rank outsider, a non politician, he faced fierce opposition from the PDP former henchmen in the state. They all underrated him, and tried to put him in a corner. Peter Obi took them all up and kicked them to the kerb, taking quick control of the state to everyone's surprise.

What happened next was chaotic, numerous stakeholders who felt cheated out despite the amounts they invested in the party came out with their guns blazing, but Peter Obi was defiant. He swore to work for the masses, not the billionaires. The cabals set up bodies inside the government to frusttrate every process, derail every programme and cause problems and disaffection inside the government. Yet Peter Obi, fearless as ever, stood his ground and fought them with everything he had in him.

Propaganda Mills were installed, fake news were peddled against the governor, people were encouraged to go on strike to destroy the government, others were paid to reveal lies and called them truths, the results of those bitter Propaganda is what we are seeing online being showed by miscreants today as their proof that Peter Obi was a bad governor. But it didn't stop Peter Obi.

They even planned and impeached Peter Obi, fought him in courts and everywhere else, even using the church to fight him, Peter Obi remained resolute and firm, he continued to divert money budgeted for looting to productive ventures and investments.

After Peter Obi won in the courts, some people got tired of fighting him, and switched to his side. They now joined forces with him having seen him as a strong man, they worked with him and grew the fortunes of Anambra state to become one of the best states in Nigeria.

This same Peter Obi is going the same route in Nigeria, and I believe that what happened in Anambra will happen in Nigeria, Peter Obi will fight for the masses and win the Presidential elections for the betterment of the whole Nigeria.

Tinubu lost even before election.

I had a dream, and the dream seem to be from 12 years into the future. Tinubu will likely tamper with the constitution if he becomes president. He will likely edit the constitution, and increase his years in power from 4 years to 6years (and will do everything possible to spend 2 terms in office, making it 12years) and we all know that‘s an easy win for him cos the senate will gladly accept it. I’m Yoruba and I’m a Lagos State indigene.

Would it be right for us to waste another 12years of our lives ?

I saw people wailing and crying in the dream saying Tinubu has made everyone suffer.

Please don’t vote Tinubu. He has bad agenda.

He’s already showing signs of a bad and corrupt leader. Why would you not attend presidential debates ?

Nigerians please do your thing with your PVCs come February 2023.

Vote PO.

Yorubas like me should stop being tribalistic. Let’s talk facts. I wasn’t supporting PO before but from the debates I have seen so far, He’s the best candidate followed by late MKO Abiola’s son.

Tinubu lost already. He will fall like Goliath by February.
You have resorted to telling of lies just like PO.

Tinubu actually forfeited over $400,000 proceeds of his drug business money to the united states government to clear up his already soiled name and then run down to Nigeria to take cover till everything die's down

The fact that the united States government recently released evidence papers of the Tinubu drug business crime in the united shows they might revisit the case again and this time to hunt Tinubu down and throw him behind bars because the united States never forget

Tinubu is too greedy , see how he has put Lagos into his pocket . He has the final say on who governs lagos on the agreement that over 800 million naira be giving to him monthly . Ambode was kicked out because he refused to stay put to this agreement

Fashola was almost kicked out as Lagos governor too but he fought the Lagos land lord to a stand still

Tinubu must never be president of this country if we must move forward a nation

Tinubu should change his Vp to stop all these TBH. Because this will always happen and continues.

Tinubu has no spread in the Christian communities in the North, South South and South East while the Fulani Muslims are preaching against him for Atiku in the Northern Mosques. The Kanuri in Borno and Yobe plus the SW can't make him win. I don't know why Shettima is persisting too. I mean Borno and Yobe alone can't make Tinubu win. So, of what benefit is persisting and losing in the end? Let Lalong come in. Shettima can always have another role.

VP candidate can be changed. It's only the party's appointed presidential candidate that was given stipulated time and not the VP candidate that was picked. And the reason is federal character rule was violated by the double Muslim Muslim ticket. Federal in quote is national level here. Why limit your vote when it should be accessible to everyone in the "federal"/national country?
Even if he chooses a general overseer as his vice, most christians of the SE, SW and SS will still not vote for him so I wonder the reasons for the fuss.

I thought competence was suppose to surpassed all other criteria.

What did Osibanjo receive from (most) southern christians asides insults and mockery?

Sambo wasn't 1/10th as relevant as Osibanjo yet the Muslim north never gave him the treatment that we give our own. All these wokist ideologies is why the south continues to fail.
