1. Has any of the followers of Nnamdi Kanu ever asked or reasoned how someone who was under heavy security guard was able to escape and FG did not ask any question how? Nobody was indicted and no one was sanctioned.

2. Did any of them ask what happened to his passports seized by court as one of the conditions for granting him bail siting he is a flight risk? He was able to be moving around from UK to Israel, to only God knows where. Was he moving around the world without passport? or while he was escaping from Nigeria he also managed to find his passports on the ground of the jail house?

3. How come the FG always find a way to bring him into the picture 2 years before election?

My take:
One way or the other APC power that be has been able to use the rantings and vituperation of this man to their full advantage. Using him to disenfranchise millions of Igbos from voting. With the kind of followership he had, why could he not start from the grass root and influence who would become senators and house of rep including governors from his region.

Mark my words, He surfaced again now to give the APC the win come 2023 elections and he would miraculously disappear again.

APC evil geniuses saw a G-boy in Nnamdi Kanu and made him (whether knowingly or unknowingly) for them to win elections and cover the imcompetence of this administration by bringing him in as a distraction for those that lack desertion.

Get your facts right

Obaseki decamped to PDP while still holding the mandate of APC. He was disqualified from contesting the next election but he was still serving as the governor on the mandate of APC, he was not suspended from the party.

He decamped and spent the remaining months leading up to the election as PDP governor when he got elected on APC ticket.

That is the most recent by the way, Ortom decamped to PDP, senate president Saraki decamped to PDP, the list goes on and on. Except the supreme court can make a decisive pronouncement on this issue it will continue to happen as they are all fighting for their pockets

Dear Nairalanders, there is something that I don't really understand about life or let me say religion. I know some people may see it as luck or destiny. But if we call it destiny, then every Christian or all child of God suspose to be prosper and leave a better life than Dangote.

Because according to Jeremiah 29:11 New International Version that's says For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

But when I check those guys we call pastors and Alfa in School (University) they don't play with Church Fellowship or Mosque prayers, they get the best results, as in when it come to Education, they are very sound but most of this people end up teaching in one local private school or the other. While those Stubborn guys, that go to Club and party every night, many of them manage to get Third class but they end up in better companies, some are abroad while some are in government.

Also, those ladies that doesn't allow man to touch thier hand not to talk of hugs, infact majority of them are still virgin base on thier looks and behavior ( Not all). They always reserve thier body for thier future husband Many of those ladies too are on the street looking for husband up till now and looking old now. Even those that marry among them are still looking for the friut of the womb. But those strippers, Club girls, they hardly attend attend class and many of them even graduated with poor result get the best husband, have beautiful kids and better job.

Now my question is, why those who lived a wayward life in school get better opportunities than Church goer or those Alfa?

1. That you are going to church doesn't make you a Christian
2. That you are a christian doesn't mean you will be successful in life

1(a) If you want the blessings that follow a christian (not a church goer) then you need to be a christian indeed. You cannot get anything from God except by God's own way.

2(a) God will not do for you what you can do for yourself. My motto in life is "Pray as if everything depends on God and work as if everything depends on you"
i. Develop yourself
ii Position yourself
iii Be street wise, not brainwashed by those gods of men.
iv Understand there are some universal laws that revolve round everybody irrespective of who you are. It's a cause and effect thing. For example, if you know how to give, it's a must you will receive, and if your fist is tight don't be surprised if favour is far away from you.

Lagos is super rich. With more than 20million people as a potential capital generation. It's always been a top state since the 19s.
Any average person will manage lagos. It will take a total 'oloribu' to mess things up.
Before Tinubu, lagos was no. 1. Then it had a airport that most state didnt have, it had beaches for luxury and resorts, had the top hotels and eateries.
It was only under military governors mostly.
Lagos will be top state for a long time to come. No state in nigeria, not even Delta state are seeing its greenlight now.

Super rich. Those military governors what have they contributed to Lagos in terms of infrastructure or development. Most of those things you are seeing were put in place by federal government when Lagos was the capital of Nigeria. Majority of these visible infrastructures you are now seeing are as a result of the laid down plan for Lagos state by a visionary person.

An average person cannot manage Lagos state, while it can never become a state like Osun (which should never have been a state anyway) but give it to an average person it will become a state like Delta or Rivers in no time.

My brother, forget allocation, lagos state revenue is more than 12 states own put together. Lagos has always been the top state since it was a capital.
The main sea port is in lagos, one of the main airport is in lagos and all the capitals of big big companies and even many embassies are in lagos. It has been like this since it was a capital. The federal government then put up many structures that ordinary would have been close to impossible for a single state to do because it was the capital then. Just think of how long the 'walf' at Apapa has been a magnate to many people and industries, think of how long many bank headquarters have been in lagos and now think too of how long the many big big bridges -third mainland bridge and the rest - have been in lagos.

Bro, I get your point. But what I'm trying to tell you is that it takes someone with a vision to sustain the tempo of Lagos and continue to build on it. There is none of those federal government 'buildings' you talked about that Lagos state government is collecting a dime from neither do they collect any money for all the bridges in Lagos. But Lagos state rather used the opportunity it has to perfect it's tax collection regime from bottom to top and when people see what their money is being used for majority will choose not to evade or avoid paying even without compulsion.

Rivers state for example has what it takes to be up there also in terms of all these, with the 13% extra allocation, the sea, the banks etc. But it requires a vision with planning that would need to be followed up if not, it will just be business as usual, pay salary, renovate roads, finished you have achieved as a governor.

The only reason why Lagos state is where it is now is that the vision has been laid down by someone who followed the recommendation of top industrialists and some of the best brains available then, and is making sure that each successive administration is following through by handpicking the governors. Like him or hate him, he might be a thief as many are saying but this is a Robin Hood thief that I won't mind to steal my money.

The day he loses control of who becomes the governor of that state or he dies is when you start seeing Lagos becoming like all those normal states that their only duty is to pay workers salary and do some cosmetic renovations. EXCEPT ANOTHER PERSON WITH A VISION AND COMMANDS HIS KIND OF FOLLOWERSHIP TAKES OVER.

Something like that assumes that you're on the same team, rather than being antagonistic or blaming. It gives him or her specific information, rather than a vague statement of "there's too much work!" It's also an offer to help with the problem, rather than just dumping it on your boss and saying "you figure it out."

If you were reporting to me, I'd respond well to something like that.

Set up by who? All these things you are seeing were they there before 1999 when one governor had plan of how he wanted Lagos to look like and set up a powerful think tank to chart development plan for Lagos and made sure each governor is following it up till now.

The other states that have been collecting government allocations (including those collecting mega, special allocations as oil producing states) what have they done with it?

Lagos is just how life is, someone with no vision and ambition will be given 1million naira and he squanders it saying it's not enough. Give that same 1million naira to someone else that already have a plan for his life set out and watch how he will become a success story that even the one will 5million naira that squandered it will begin to envy and hate him.

Meanwhile some governors that refused to give Tinubu 10 kobo from their state coffers (since *** no be Lagos) are busy sharing kerosine and indomie packs as dividends of democracy while owing civil servants 8 months salary.

If you don't have vision, it's not your fault there is nothing you can do about it. If someone is bigger than you there is also nothing you can do about it no matter how much you hate.

That's news for another day .

He knows. He is just asking you to give him one state in Nigeria where Tinubu is not stealing their money for comparison with the development going on in Lagos.

And maybe any state also that will not get any monthly allocation from the Federal government for 3years and did not owe a single civil servant any salary but rather still building infrastructures and mapping out development plans for the next 50 years. Mention just 1 state or even half sef.

Wrong...The university committee will never allow you to deflate their ego. They have a law department and you are hiring 1 or two lawyer to drag a case! I would rather advice the guy to pleade for suspension if guilty, instead of trying to take the bull by a broken horns. Have not seen someone that won university senate and students affairs unit in any case-avoid them by doing the right thing always...I wish the guy the very best in this case, is not easy to waste someone's time...I pray he regained his studentship. Amen

At the bolded is not correct sir. There are cases students have won against university authorities in the past. I personally know of two won against a university (a federal university for that matter) though not something made public like this one.

Ambo started and has gone far on all of these before his administration was cut short.

It is well.

It's not his administration, it's the administration of the people of Lagos and that is why Sanwoolu doesn't have option than to complete it, that's the way government should be run. Nobody is saying BRT, dedicated rail lines are all Tinubu's project again because each administration after him is being given kudos for continuing and improving on them.

If Sanwoolu is removed without doing his second term the projects will continue, that is how organized Lagos government has been under Tinubu. All that might change though if another party takes over. One thing is sure, like that man Tinubu or hate him, he has made Lagos state a blueprint of how Nigeria can be set on the development path. Even if you corner some part of the money meant for the state, as long as you are doing meaningful projects and people are seeing the developments they will make less noise.

Recently i got an interview in one of the leading IT Company. It is CMMI level company so i thought to try. I gave written test and technical round of interview, then again technical round with manager and he put me on hold.
After i asked the reason to HR, she told me manager put you on hold. Again after 3 months i got a call that now you have to give final round of interview.
I went there for another technical round and got selected. This time my appraisal is due in current company which is on next month so i can’t accept first offer which is 15% raise.
I have 50k salary so it’s obvious I will get 15% in current company so i asked for 30% raise and she offered me 54k on hand. My current on hand is around 45k so i told her that i won’t join at these much less and if she wants to renegotiate, i am open for that. She after offered me 55k. I was like shocked that is this called negotiation. She is asking me for 1k more. Am i at grocery store or what? I said no.
She said she is chasing me from few days to convince me but now she won’t. So i said, if your offer is convincing, no need to chase anyone. What does it make sense to give someone 1k more? She said, if you want to join at the offer, call me or reply me.
I never replied and called.

Once you know your worth that you are very qualified for the position, find out the average salary attached to such positions and don't short change yourself.

I once lost a job in my early working years because I asked for too little salary. I was already, just the day to come for salary negotiation that they realized I was only good theoretically about the job functions but I was not practically in that field (telecoms), I remember back then me asking for 600k per annum chai! (you can't blame me na, me just 1year after youth service where I was being paid 15k monthly 600k annually was a big deal for me. When the MD said 600K? I thought I had overpriced and quickly said I was open to negotiations (come spoil matter totally). They just told me "thank you, we will get back to you"

While I was going that the MD called me back and adviced me that "actually, let me give you an advice for the future, try to find out the salary attached to the position you are applying for before going for any interview" and that advice stuck with me.

I later found out that the position I was asking for 600k for actually attracts a salary between 2m to 3m.

But what will be will be, I still eventually found myself in Telecoms industry though years later

because they didn't have money for it then (It's on the expensive side for average folks)

Believe you me, it is IVF. Whatever was causing the not getting pregnant for over 21years doesn't just vanish overnight, it is some of these hypocrites in the name of religion that will not want to acknowledge that fact as if it's not the same God that gave us the wisdom to own the earth and discover things therein.

IVF is what makes old couples give birth to multiples. Go and check almost all these old couples giving birth for the first time after 20 or even 30years don't give birth to 1, it starts from 2 upwards. My big uncle whose wife is 56 gave birth to triplets, through IVF of course.

You people can jump to conclusions. Where did you read it that the compensation is for house destroyed?

The compensation varies in degrees depending on what the government destroyed. That is the reason you are seeing different amounts being given. For some people it's just the land the government took over, for some just the fence of the house that went, some didnt even deserve any compensation (because they built on unauthorized land) but they were still given something.

I get your point, but it doesn't work that way every time though. The children of Abacha are still prospering till tomorrow. The children of Al Mustapha are still flourishing like the seddah tree. Many of the children of all those politicians killing themselves and using people for rituals are still blossoming like a palm planted by the riverside.

Our only consolation is that there is a just God out there, who will not let a sinner go unpunished either in this world or the life after this.

State cannot decentralize if I may put it the way you did. Everything is enshrined in that constitution the same that gave too much power to the Federal over state and local also gave too much power to the state over local.

So if you want the local government to be strong, it has to still come from the constitution from top down. The state governors on their own can't do nothing about the local government.

Don't mind me guys, I just woke up this morning and remembered some of the memories of childhood, especially the punishment part

If you were born during this era of "child abuse this or that" you may not be able to relate to what I'm saying.

It is not even the punishment that actually gives the nightmare but the fear of the punishment. But today, you just remember some of these things and just start laughing on your own.

One particular one that stands out for me which I think is common to most guys from my era (mostly guys) is that, Your mother sent you to go grind pepper (as I said you will not relate if you were born in this era of blender becoming 'pure water'), you quickly carry the bucket of tomatoes and dashed to the grinding shop like a good boy that you are grin

, there is every likelihood that you will meet other people there (most of the time na one grinding shop per 2 or 3 streets), you know what that means? drop your bowl, take your number and just move two buildings from where you are, or somewhere across the street, you must see a mini stadium there. Being the Ronaldo of that time or maybe Messi (nobody wants to be that man with no name that Best Ogedengbe used heavy shot to tear his stomach open shocked

, well, maybe until Dodo Mayana Peter Rufai came to change that impression).

Well, back to my narration, you enter field of play, you dumped the first set, the second, maybe even the 3rd in the process winning the Pichichi award (everybody is a striker). Eventually, one particular set managed to oust your winning team, or you got a minor injury of cutting your toe which may sideline you for a few minutes to be attended to by the stadium doctor by rubbing sand on it or squeezing some leaf on the wound (chai! na God really dey take care of mad woman child o. If poison no kill us that time what is COVID-19).

You just remembered all of a sudden that in the midst of trying to bring glory to your street by wining as many sets as possible you have forgotten the bowl of pepper you came to grind. You quickly took off (please don't ask me how long I had been on that field of play, we no dey wear watch that time and handset was not an English word then).

My brothers and sisters, on reaching the grinding shop, you politely asked the woman for your pepper and she replied you 'your mother has come to carry it"
