The calculation is based on ur LMP and not when u did the do. From ur edd, ur LMP must hv been 20th or 21st of June and u did the needful early July. So u r team march

Babe relax! There's plenty of time and room for baby to turn. Same happened to me too. In fact remove your mind from it. Only a small percentage remain like that till term. Cheers

My dear pls follow the Dr's advice. Pre-eclampsia is not something to toil with. Don't panic but be thankful that's it's coming close to term. My friend's case was at 29weeks and she was forming Jackie Chan, na God save her life finally. Pls this is not to scare you but for you to make up your mind and follow their advice. Best wishes

Last week, my wife saw some blood discharge on her undies while she was 15weeks pregnant and i had to rush her to a nearby clinic. While we were there, the doctor did a scan n told us that the baby is dead. Meanwhile, we did a scan a week before this incident. We were asked to repeat d scan somewhere else to confirm the result. What i saw that night was terrifying. My wife bled and i had to rush her to the hospital. On getting there, the doctor confirmed it and opted for an evacuation. As a man, i've been trying to control my emotions cos i really feel d loss.
My question is, does the quality of a mans sperm contribute to a miscarriage?

Sorry about your loss. Pls be strong for madam. Alot of things can go wrong to cause miscarriage. Yes quality of the sperm can so also quality of the woman's egg. It could b little of an appropriate hormone like progesterone, it could be that the child isn't forming well,could be as result of stress even incompetent cervix. In fact a host of other factors. Were the doctors able to detect the cause of the miscarriage? It's well bro, the Lord will give double for your loss.

It's been every 5 mins for the past 3 hours or more. Rang the doctor few minutes ago and she said I should wait till it's like 2/mins interval or if I see water, mucus plug or blood. But the pain no be here o, doesn't last up to 1 minute though. She wants each contraction to last at least 1 min and the interval 2/3 munutes before ringing back.

Please nurses and doctors in the house i need clarifications on this issue, am pregnant nd i know am hepatitis B positive. I know the baby must be receive hep B vaccine immediately after birth before i can breastfeed my baby. Now my doc said even the baby receive hep B vaccine, that i will have to wait almost 48hours bfore bf d baby, that d vaccine may not be active before then. Dr said d hep B vaccine given in the government healthcare centres takes almost two days before it can be active in the body. Pls how true is this?

She also made me know that dia is anoda type hb vaccine sold in big pharmacy stores that is active within few hrs after administration though very expensive. I have prepared my mind to use the maternity centre for vaccination but i need to sure of 'how many hrs to wait' before breastfeeding.


My fisrt baby receive the vaccine too when she was born though i didnt wait for 48 hrs before bf because nobody told me to do so but it took almost 48 hours before my brst milk was flowing. It was one nurse that God used as an angel for me when i was transferred 4rm labour rm to post natal ward, she saw file nd boldly written on it was "hep B positive" , that was she called my attention to it.

Pls share ur thought if u know on this issue

The only case i have seen she was advised to wait for 48hours as well. Personally i don't think there's any harm in waiting to ensure enough antibodies have been produced by the baby to handle any virus that passes through the breast milk. In that 48hrs baby can be fed with infant formula and afterwards you can go ahead with ebf. Other mamas with knowledge and experience will soon advise. All the best.

I see a lot of similarities between Orumba south dialects and my mother's town dialect of Oji River Enugu state. The Achi people also say, 'ibo akala, for discussion, 'la' instead of 'na' for present tense, 'ghu' for 'you', 'nwa agaba' for 'nwa diana', etc.

A typical Achi Oji River sentence would be: Okwa mu la ghu lo ibe e la-abo akala (Okwa mu na gi no ebe a na-akpa nkata) or, Njii iye mmeru ghu (Kedu ife melu gi?)
