I think you're naive of those verses. There are condition given as to why it should not be taken. The bible never said it is bad or a sin.. You pick those verse for self purpose(counter reno) but still it does not validate that Reno was wrong

Let's take for instance that IPOB built the building and handed it over to the church, the building should be demolished right? What if the chair was given or donated before IPOB was actually proscribed? I see no reason why this should be a problem to you or anyone... This is so irrelevant and uncalled for... People should be judged based on their content and not what is in between their legs cause they neither chose it nor made any efforts to put it there.

That all fingers are not equal means some people will be richer than others. Some will be taller or smarter or taller, etc. That is given. But you don't pre-determine these people based on their gender or race, that is prejudice. It's an individual difference and not a gender difference.

Culture is a way of life. That is the basic definition. And religion, language, etc. are sub-components of culture. Christianity isn't just a lifestyle but a religion sub, it is a belief system you never knew before colonization. It ceases to be a question of just good character when it says that one man is the only way and must be accepted before one makes it to heaven. Your ancestors didn't have terrible characters but they weren't Christians cause they had a different belief system. Put it however you want, the white man introduced that to you, it wasn't your way of life. So the fact remains that change is inevitable.

I know you'd like to make this a discussion about religion. So I'd call you back to the bone of contention, women and men should be seen as equal humans with different genders.

The osu culture has been abolished. Virginity testing before or during marriage in order to shame the woman found wanting has been tossed aside where they used to be "our culture". Men are no longer flogged before marriage where it was cultural. Genital mutilation, exclusion of the girl child in inheritance, and other such things are in the pipeline. The point here is that your culture is not carved on stone. So saying, "it is our culture" is a ridiculous excuse for denying people equal opportunities. You own the culture, the culture does not own you. So why play the cultural slave?

Gender equality is gender quality. Equality is acknowledging the absence of superiority and getting rid of the prejudice that come with it. It is about giving equal opportunities and treatment. You don't have two differentiate African version from that of the western world.

It's not all about religions. If Christianity had started in a more liberal society, that part wouldn't have been there. If the bible had been written in a more recent time, many of these wouldn't be there. We need to appreciate the fact that the people that wrote the bible were not without culture. Some organizations would never have a female leader cause men would be uncomfortable with it. Women are policed. They are told what to do, wear or say so that they'll be seen as good ladies. They are shamed for the slightest misstep while the males get away with virtually anything. Women are blamed for men's action. They are told "don't you know he's a man?". People think it is wrong for a single woman to live alone and drive a cool car cause that will scare men away. It's always about what works for men. Imagine a woman being told to cook delicious meals or dress well or pray so the man would stop cheating. Lol. It's just ridiculous. The funny thing is that some women have come to see themselves as the lesser beings. Well, you won't see this cause you're not on the receiving end.

Religion "A" people think theirs is superior to others. The rich think they are superior to the poor. Etc. And this will continue forever because nobody is really advocating for equal rights. Everyone is trying to create exceptions to exclude those they believe don't deserve it.

From the beginning and till the end of the world.. There have never been any such thing as equality "men and women equal" not in as a christian, Muslim or even the idol/traditional worshipper and it cannot be.

So, if you campaign for gender equality, you'd be deluding yourself.

The fact remains that both husband and wife should do what edify the presence of God in their lives.. Many people say there is no particular rule to marriage, but I tell them there is a commandment and if you follow n keep that commandment of marriage, you will experience peace in your marriage life....

Commandment as follows:

Husband: love your wife as thyself. Men love is natural selfish, for they love themselves more.. If the man in the context loves his wife, he won't have beaten her.. because 2 has become 1. A man who beats his wife beats himself.. Only mentally derail man slaps himself.

Wife: Submit Your self to thy husband. Most Women are naturally stubborn and often display their stubbornness through action or words. A woman who submit completely to her husband will experience peace(absolutely being submissive) Again.. Men are the authority of the house.. No body whether man or woman who's the head of any place will take it slightly if his or her authority is denied or not taken.. By authority, it doesn't mean force... There is a big difference btw an Authority and Force... In most cases, many men uses force in place of authority because the wife/woman is not submissive..

Finally, Life is not a bed of rose. We should always remember that challenges and the storm of life must surely come by, how we manage the scenario is all that matters.. May God help us all.. Amen

I lost over $500 orders last week after each clients had agreed to pay $250 each for their projects and about to make payment via fiverr but all of a sudden, they changed their minds.
