Nobody is defending Legsup. It is clear that there were lots of shortfalls on his side and I am of the opinion that Legsup should clear things from his end fast. OP was also accused of not paying fully for the work done and he has not come here to counter this, which shows he probably told us one side of the story and conveniently left out certain implicating details on his own side. How much is OP expecting to be paid when he has been accused of paying only a portion of the total investment amount?

The most annoying aspect is some of what is being raised about this Jethro woman; she has yet to address these as well.

I seriously fear for the man's safety. By now he should have been in WITSEC.

I am sure you have never done business with Chinese, Indians, or Lebanese, or even Americans. I believe there is a document called the prospectus, and investors are always advised to consult with their financial advisors before taking a decision, not to consult with the company people they want to invest in.

The OP is the owner of the money. It is his duty to have performed due diligence on an investment to be made with his hard-earned money, especially given his precarious situation.

I maintain my stand here: people should stop this "farm for me" stuff. It does not work. I lost some maize plants myself after a neighbouring farmer's workers sprayed his farm with a non-selective herbicide on a very windy day. If not for God and the fact that I did not want to spoil a hitherto good relationship, I would have made him pay for the damage. Supposing I was managing such a farm for someone, how would I have explained it to the investor, knowing how Nigerians like to do business with ZERO risk (is that even possible)?

You were hoping to reap without doing the associated work that goes with it. Farming is not child's play. Until you do it actively before you know what's up.

This "do business for me" thing cannot work in our environment. People who provide capital never make allowance for risk. Those who collect capital too do not make allowance for risk.

In her tribe (igbo), yam is a man's crop. Cultivation of yams was exclusively done by the men.

This so-called farm management does not work. Anything can happen: drought, pests, disease, poor yields due to bad soil prep, mismanagement, theft, herdsmen, etc.

If you are not ready to manage your farm yourself and bear all risks involved, do not send money to anyone to do it for you.
