No wonder she has no husband. She would have got the boot from her matrimonial home for such nonsense. See how the Nigerian state is supporting gluttons all over the place. Rubbish! ![]() |
Oh dear! My dear Harry Mosco do die? Chei! Remember I used to watch him in 1980/81 when I was in Primary School. Choi! All the singers we grew up with are going one by one. RIP! |
OP, Let me say here that I was one of those who believed that YouWIN would go the way of the NAPEP program. I have been proven wrong. I want to congratulate you specially because your story has one again reinforced the fact that when God has decided to bless someone in a way, no amount of criticism or negativism can stop it. A HUGE CONGRATS TO YOU. |
ILLUMINA: @ayodele 123: BLA BLA BLA BLA BLA BLA! I am not sure u read my first 2 word statement. (ALL CONSIDERED). Now, can u pls cross over to the religous section where u can open a church there. Now move on. thank u.Another f.ool heading to an early grave and to hell. |

These kinds of ads are what warp our societal values and drag young people away from building themselves up step by step into cutting corners to be rich. Take a statistics of the rich in our society. How many made their money at the age of 29 or below? APCON should come in here and force Airtel to pull that ad! |
The appropriate age for a man to be a millionaire is when he is closer to 40 years. In the 20s decade, there is a lot of youthful exuberance and a man needs to make mistakes in order to get experienced in life. Besides, being a millionaire comes with a lot of family and social responsibilities and pressure. Your new status will push you into places to start to rub shoulders with certain kinds of individuals, many of them with ulterior motives. For instance, you may want to buy a piece of land being eyed by another older millionaire who has connections and is into the occult. Your business success may be threatening some other interests and they will do all they can to bring you down. How do you handle all that as a 24 year old? Such a person will be too young and too inexperienced to handle what becoming a millionaire brings. Everything in life comes with a baggage. Marriage comes with a baggage. Riches come with its peculiar baggages. So does workplace promotion, government positions, change of environment, etc. Some of my most grevious life errors and money mistakes were made in my 20s and now that I am a lot older, I just look back and laugh at how brainless I was then. But this was because of youth and inexperienced. |
baslone: I witnessed a "Yellow fever" smash his baton on the head of an okada riderLast year at Eliozu in PH, I saw someone dressed in army shorts, hit a taxi driver with an iron rod. See blood! Na so the taxi guy (who incidentally was a graduate just managing with a cab his brother bought him while waiting for Youth service) carry phone call im bros. In the next 5 minutes, 20 hefty militants surfaced from nowhere and gave the "army" man the beating of his life. They even used a rock on the guy's head, then asked the taxi guy to return the favours. As de guy knack the "army" man with the same rod, na so blood just dey rush like tap and the man fainted. 5 policemen nearby were just watching the drama and laughing. Naija na jungle o! |
This one na small thing. I was watching some Brazilian football sometime ago, when a player pushed the referee over a disputed decision. Omo, na so referee drop ball and im whistle, and he and the player begin serious fighting. Or what about the African Champions league final in 1994 between Esperance and Zamalek when players on both sides, on the field and on the reserve bench begin fight karate? (I wish I can find the video link on Youtube). So I am not surprised. |
I fail to see where the "prophecy" mentioned DIG Haruna John. Compare that with the 1998 prophecy of Prophet Nuhu Kure who mentioned very clearly that Gen Abacha would die that year. |
They should make up their minds about what they want. haba! |
You need to relocate out of the street for at least 2 months. |
Dan abu: Tarka/ Dabo feud spanned through the late 70‘s to early 80‘s. Tarka died in the early 80‘s.Joseph S. Tarka died in 1980. |
NAIA is a complete eyesore. The local wing of this airport is just sickening. Glad it was shut so that it could be renovated. The international wing of this airport looks a whole lot better. I landed at PH airport the other day. The whole terminal is being renovated so everyone has to use a single entrance. The chaos was unbelievable. Then there is the bribe issue. Once at PH airport, the immigration lady bluntly told me and I quote verbatim: Immigration lady: Oga, this is Christmas time and I do not want to search your bag at all at all!. Find me my Christmas gift. Me: Ha madam, na wa o. You no wan search the bag? What if I carry gun inside? Immigration: How fine young man wey dey for Abuja dey chop all the government money go dey carry gun? No be people like you. Just find me something now... (as if all of us in Abuja have access to govt coffers) Meanwhile, PH traffic on East West road/Rumuokoro axis made me very late and my flight was boarding. I did not want to entertain the idea of spending Christmas in a hotel away from my family. When I saw that this lady meant business, I had to part with some money because she was getting aggressive. Me I no want make dem say I swallow drug when nothing dey there. |
Anyone who has not heard the name of Godwin Daboh Adzuana was probably born as from the year 1995. Those of us who were alive in the late 70s and early 90s are familiar with the name, even as recently as 1992 when he and Arthur Nzeribe were asking IBB to continue in power. He is part of those who scuttled June 12. |
As a small scale manufacturer, I know that if I have 24 hours public electricity, there is nothing I will not produce in my chosen line of products. But will GEJ and his people perform? |
Fhemmmy: How much do you think it will cost you to clear a 2011 Toyota Camry? Can you in your infinite wisdom, tell us here how much it costs to clear this vehicle at Onne port in Rivers State? Custom duty is fixed and the rates are known, but who fixes prices of clearing? And besides, can you fault the price of the vehicle if purchased from the US at the mileage I put up above and the shipping rates? I agree, clearing of a 2011 vehicle is not 250k; indeed there is no fixed price for the year of production and the model of the various brands of vehicles we have but at least you know what I am driving at. The point I am making here is that prices of cars advertised here on Nairaland are way over-priced and you Fhemmy know it. |
Most of the guys who sell cars here are broad day light robbers. A 2011 Toyota Camry LE with a mileage of 27,000 can be bought from the US for $16,500, shipped from any of the ports in the Gulf Coast for less than $1,800 and cleared at 250K. That is roughly N3m. But someone will come here and quote that same car for sale at N7m and above. Why? |
In my days, the cane was a very available option, and for serious misdemeanors, the "koboko" was there as reserve. (and I don't mean D'Banj's koboko please) We have copied Western lifestyles to the point that it is now a huge problem. I was shocked when I saw a 10 year old girl, the niece of a friend of mine, fighting the mum (my friend's sister). Unbelievable! |
He came across as a refined police officer while he was the CP here in Abuja. I am very sure he was "arrowed" by one of the numerous disgruntled and retired officers just the way one of my neighbours here was arrowed 2 weeks after being appointed to the board of a govt parastatal. Makes you wonder why human beings always love jostling for positions at all cost. Sad loss. |
Better read the story of Jacob and his father-in-law Laban and see for yourself all the intrigues that played out. Tomorrow if you have a probolem with your wife, your father-in-law will kick you out and you will be left with nothing. Preserve your dignity and self-respect; earn your own income as you are presently doing. Human beings have very short memories. |
The OP's mentality is how women of today think. The day my wife heard her ex- had divorced his wife and impregnated another woman outside is the day she stopped making those silly "my ex-" comments. Women of today do not seem to realise that no matter how bad a man is, there is always a good side. No man will just wake up and maltreat a woman just because he feels like. The woman who said she found a condom in her husband's pocket had better tell us the other side of the story she refused to reveal. OP, go and submit yourself to your husband as prescribed in the bible and God will intervene on your behalf. Do not come here to demonize your husband. Do you know what life with your ex- would have been? No one knows tomorrow! |
Lenny5000, Until you get the parents of this baby to exhaust local options here and it is very clear that the operation cannot be done (which I doubt seriously), then you have no right to ask anyone here to contribute towards your N2million target. |
Come to Abuja and advertise your services. You will make money until you drop. Someone close to my house who sells house fittings and cement sells at least 10 doors and 50 bags of cement daily. No exaggerations. |
Anything concerning my marriage is between me, my wife and God. No pastor involved. I am sorry for those who take marriage matters to third parties (including parents). They will kill your marriage with their extremist views. |
Advisers galore. OP, 500k can start you off on a car wash business. If you charge N500 per wash (N350 for you and N150 for your boy), and you employ 3 boys like that who only get paid when they wash a car, you could make some good money. 30 cars washed per day will net you N10,500. In three months, you will recover your capital if you started the biz with N500k. If you are good and you site your car wash business close to where there are muddy raods, especially as the rains are coming (which is why a place like Lagos is a good place to start), then you can even get up to 50 cars per day. Of course, there is one close to where I live that charges N1000 per car wash. You just need to sink a borehole (which is not costly in Lagos), buy 2 pressure wash machines and a few accessories and you are in business. |
A typical South African is inferior to a Nigerian. It is a recognised fact. They can't measure up to us in anything. |
reindeer:You have said it like it is. I really wonder why the emphasis seems to be on the N2m than on getting help, especially when such help is available right here in Nigeria at UNTH. |
Story story. I was asking how parents with a supposedly desperately ill child will be telling stories about going to UNTH where I know for a fact that surgeries to close holes in the heart are done VERY REGULARLY, but will prefer to be looking for who will give them N2m to go to India. You see Nigerians? Like Ifyalways said, I am very much out of this. I will say it again: I will not be part of a time wasting venture. If the parents are serious, Benin to Enugu is a 5 hour journey. Let them get down there and go to the heart surgery unit where the 4 doctors I mentioned work and they should take it from there. |
I also need to add that LASUTH has a program where a foreign medical team comes in to perform heart operations. That angle can be looked at too. |
Lenny5000:Nothing will come out of the KHF option because they have a long waiting list and the money available to them is not limitless. At a point, there were feelers that the foundation was a bit cash strapped. There is no way they can pay N2million each for the more than 1000 persons on their waiting lists. I gave a very viable option. There is a heart surgery team in the University Teaching Hospital at Ituku Ozalla in Enugu: Prof Martin AC Aghaji (world renowned. He is the President of the Nigerian Cardiac Society. You can Google him if you wish) Dr Okwuleghe Dr Eze Dr Ejemba They have a fully functional operating unit, complete with pump oxygenator and other gadgets used for open heart surgeries, and an appreciable success rate. It is a very viable option and the cost will not be anywhere near N2m. |
