Goke7: @the op, GEJ supporters can never answer your questions without insults either for you or PMB so its a waste of time engaging them in an intellectual discourse like this, we were all here when our economy started dwindling towards the end of GEJ tenure when NOI told us that FG were finding it difficult to pay salaries and things may not improve. The symptoms were already showing then, right now politics is what is being played now by the opposition and GEJ sympathizers by taking advantage of the economic downturn to see how they can incite Nigerians against PMB and the avengers are doing just that to push their luck further. Majority of Nigerians including the opposition know the truth about our economy but politics of bitterness will never allow for any objectivity. 100% Correct! I hope the unreasonable haters see this comment. |

Nigeria had $2.3 billion FDI in 1st quarter of 2015 & had $720 (300% decline) same quarter 2016.
The economy just crashed under Buhari..period! And why did it start crashing under the hero who had record amount of fund and good policies? I hope i am clear enough. |

quid: @ tsdarkside and standing5 , read this post properly ^^^ I read the post and realized it was emphasising my question. If GEJ had good policies and excess fund, why did the downward trend of the economy we are withnessing start during his time. To make it worse the dwindling economic trend started towards the end of his tenure, this is suppose to be a time when the effect of his allegedly good policies, excess fund and heroism should have been most glaring. Thf post you directed me to is for Buhari and against GEJ |
Politics › Re: A Question For GEJ Supporters by Standing5(op): 11:20pm On Jun 18, 2016 |
ogmask: The questions raised by the op are very valid. Anything short of a direct answer is window dressing. NOI was consistently warning of gloomy days ahead even in the midst of oil windfall, yet pple cannot piece the lines together, they will rather start the Nigerian economy from May last year.
Watch out, they will come in their numbers to derail this beautiful and thought provoking thread. They rather attack the messenger than relate to the message. They are all morally handicapped PDP sympathizers. |

Our system simply isn't strong n mature enough for most of the textbook policies our leaders enforce. You don't persuade marketters to sell at lower rate, instead the marketters should be the ones seeking larger market share by enticing customers with lower prices. The marketters have decided to maintain maximum price to maximize profit. I call it the result of years of unionizing to fight off oppression |

Jesus simply turned wine into water, raise people from the dead, sighted the blind and shared bread and sandine. If not all you're saying is grammar You this drug addict, you are here again spewing vile trash. People don't just complain dude. They do for a reason. How do you expect the farmer to overcome challenges of road/transportation, storage, processing(e.g tomato into tomato paste or corn into corn flakes), water supply and irrigation, deseases and pest issues, herdsmen issues, exportation standard and exportation bottlenecks of officials want their palms greased before allowing perishable produce out? |
Politics › Re: Food Production: Nigerians Are Not Industrious! by Standing5(m): 7:36pm On Jun 14, 2016 |
cindybella101: Everybody in Nigeria cannot be a farmer or own a farm and secondly there is nothing to politicize here cos you can't tell me the activities of the murderous herdsmen is not affecting our farm produce. Go to Benue state and see how cows destroy peoples farm produce and you are here talking about industrious, how can you tell someone to be industrious when the few that are industrious are being killed on a daily basis ? You can't compare our last year farm production to thus year can you ? So now think about it and tell me the cause of the scarcity in a space of less than one year. Thanks I think cattles should be completely banned in Benue, plateau, Ebonyi atleast. They are our food baskets states and the FG shld be able to ban cattles there if it can think of creating reserve areas for cows. |

mikolo80: Wait how does the fg breed laziness exactly. Imagine for example your father refused to pay your school fees so you won't look for alternative. Did the fg hold the govnor or senators. When they were looting did the fg stop them. Who is holding the Civil servants from farming when they know salary will not be steady.who is stopping... You know what I give up. When you become govnor.don't do anything. Spend 8 years blaming fg Use ur brain bros n stop using stupíd example of a father not paying your sch fees. Why didn't aregbesola pursue his 'profitable' cocoa or cashew nut venture when oil sold for record high amount? Why is he investing in cocoa when now that the state is in debt? Use ur brain and stop advancing silly argument. You said "who held the people from farming?", the easy oil money did. If the money wasn't there, people would be farming and the government would be supporting them with infrastructures like dams, irrigation and storages to boost profit and therefore tax with which to fund its activities if it didn't have alternative of easy oil money available. |

Politics › Re: True Federalism, Its Advantages And Implications. by Standing5(m): 10:48pm On Jun 13, 2016 |
mikolo80: no my patriotic but ignorant brother, laziness bred laziness. it has nothing to do with system of govt. how is it systems fault that ppl refuse to hold their councillor to task. i had no option but to reply your ignorance with my last battery. Laziness didn't breed laziness. Dependence on easy oil money did. If the people of Osun had to farm n pay tax for the state govt to run, then they will never allow him borrow into their projected earning of 20 years time. They know that whether the work or remain lazy, their salary will be paid with oil earnings, and the oil earning wouldn't have gone round if not for our current federalism, so stop saying laziness bred laziness. Dependence on oil money did. |

PassingShot: The oyel is a free gift from God to Nigeria. It didn't get to where it's found through any effort of the people who live there and laying claim to it. All investments made into it were by the FG that owns the land.
So, you guys should stop being sentimental and accept the fact that the oyel belongs to every Nigerian. Simple as ABC. The oyel belongs to the states. If Nigeria brakes up today the other states will go their way and start life with their own resource. The oyel isn't a no man's property and the states didn't tell you they don't have the expertise to explore it. |
