okpara ugo: you are glorifying mediocrity at your expense...And how is Nigeria Telcos Data bundle mediocrity? You should understand factors mitigating against our telcos b4 jumping to conclusion. |
What i am saying in summary is, most of the hosted content that form the core of the internet are located in the advance countries so they can afford to run short and easy to maintain access to these servers compared to African countries. |
krugar07: are you a civil servant??No i am not, if i may know, why are u asking? |
What's the point of a 500mb which Nigerian useless networks won't even allow you use a quarter of it conviniently ?
Nigerian telcos are trying. You think it is easy running and fibre optic cable all the way to Europe and compete with other European countries who have the 'core' of Internet at their backyard? Those other countries can afford to run better access channel to the 'core' of the internet which is closer to them than is to African countries. |
geeez: After 8yrs under Aregbesola, Osun State will be one of Nigeria’s leading economies at this rateOpon Imo to me is one big misplaced priority. I will go for textbooks/library anyday. |
She need some sense of security. |
Mr. OP appears to be a little bit confused. He says 30,000 students multiplied by N40,000 for every four student per year= 7,500,000,000 total a year. |
Strange |
talktimi: Besides what is hardship allowance ?Hardship allowance is the allowance for the hardship they go through when lifting other allowances in Ghana must go bags, or do you think they like going through all these public aeionnttt? |
Let me guess, its the handiwork of APC. |
The man probably still doesn't give a damn. Articles like these are good tools for choosing candidate for 2015 election. GEJ has no inner strength to confront any public office holder who decides not to give a damn about asset declaration. I think the global anti-corruption body have a good point here. |
Yet they say an average of N150,000 is spent on each Fed. Uni student every year. |
Why is 6000 Mw as at 1990 not possible? The military isn't as bad as we have made them look if the truth must be told. |
Is he suppose to give a damn? PDP of all party. |
Javanian could you please give your opinion on a suitable timeframe or syllabus with timeline for completion, my challenge is not that of laying my hands on e-books or variety of textbooks but where to focus on and how to pace myself. |
JavaLove, you appear to have missed my question on Page 2. Please where can i get NIIT ebooks online or were u reffering to e-books generally? |
runzlord: I got a scholarship to learn java at aptech. Java progaming cost 140k there, i paid nothing! Guess what? My parent spoilt everything! The story is to long to tell. Nw i learn java on my own buh i face 2 major chalange, |
runzlord: I got a scholarship to learn java at aptech. Java progaming cost 140k there, i paid nothing! Guess what? My parent spoilt everything! The story is to long to tell. Nw i learn java on my own buh i face 2 major chalange,I feel your pain, especially the aspect of people around you not seeing what you see and the power supply thing. As for the power supply part i will suggest you shop for a cheap laptop with 9-cell or 12-cell battery. Most battery of this capacity can go 10-15 or more hours a day with about 3.5-4.5 hours of charging - for about N70,000-80,000 when added to laptop cost. As for the data thing, i advice you to patronise local software sale people, most of the software you are looking for are on CD or DVD already and cost N200 or N300 'or' go for MTN N2,500 night plan and download as much as 4 GigaByte of data over 30 days. |
javalove: Well, I finished from NIIT many many years ago and those materials should be somewhere around my house in Naija. Haven't set my eyes on them for over ten years. I guess you can make do with eBooks as there are lots of free learning materials lying around the internetAre you talking about e-books generally or NIIT ebooks? I was targetting the books to serve as a definitive guide in terms of timeline and syllabus. The challenge i have currently is that of "not knowing the how close i am" to any sellable level of mastery of the language. Java is a wide language and hard to find direction with no form of guid or mentorship. |
Mr OP, you said you attended NIIT, please how can i lay my hands the NIIT Materials like their complete books and assignments. I want it to serve as guide with timeline as i learn java. Thanks |
These people coming to endorse APC actually vote in PDP in their states and then come out to vote in APC in the SWester states. They realise PDP is less efficient compared to ACN but don't want to admit. They prefer their brother at Federal level but Theiving APC at state level. What a level of Hippo-crisy! |
They have fully functioning and well utilised brain but only utilise it for their own selfish needs. The masses will always choose someone to support as long as he or she is perceived to be close to them ethnically. |
Good challenge, let them slug it out for all this time, no hotel room gimick this time around. |

Holy everything . . . Na waa oh! |
I know private schools get a lot of bashing from the public schools people, but how do those in public schools really lay claim to a superior system when 35-40% of the entire workload is 'sort'-ed out financially|sexually with corrupt lecturers and another 10-15% is circumvented either by cheating in exams or intimidating lecturer's. The only advantage a public has over a private school is the subbsidized fees which attracts lots of student to choose from, and even at that, it hasn't translated to any meaningful progress in terms addmitting the best students. Plus post-ume kind of exams is the brain child of private schools, add that to the fact that some rules in private schools are being copied by public schools. UI is a good example. |
Mods, FP Please. |
The final fixtures which will decide the five African representatives for Brazil 2014 have been drawn, and there are some interesting encounters ahead The 2014 World Cup final qualifying round draw for Africa took place in Cairo, Egypt on Monday, with the 10 countries remaining in the qualifiers discovering who their opponents would be. There are only five qualifying spots open for the remaining national teams in Africa, as they play their opponents over two legs to decide the victor and qualifier for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. The 10 teams were divided into two pots ahead of the draw. Pot A contained the five seeded teams based on their latest Fifa ranking. This included Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana, Algeria, Nigeria and Tunisia. Pot B contained the remaining sides, which included Egypt, Ethiopia, Cameroon, Senegal and Burkina Faso. The biggest gasp of the draw proceedings was reserved for the moment when Cote d'Ivoire and Senegal were drawn against each other, setting up a very fierce West African tie. Other interesting clashes include Nigeria facing Ethiopia, and Ghana taking on Egypt. The teams will play home and away fixtures on October 11-15 and November 15-19 to determine the five finalists, who will then represent the African continent in Brazil. The Final African Qualifying Fixtures for the 2014 World Cup are as follows: Cote d'Ivoire v Senegal Ethiopia v Nigeria Tunisia v Cameroon Ghana v Egypt Algeria v Burkina Faso http://www.goal.com/en-gh/news/4389/ghana/2013/09/16/4265515/2014-world-cup-final-qualifying-round-for-africa-ghana-face |
Good point from SilaV, if it was probability the answer would be 1 because probability of independent & certain events remains certainty A.K.A. 1 |
