There has been no major improvement on areas affected by petrol prices like power, transport or agriculture. |
You enforced subsidy removal but ordered palliative. Kikikiki. |
Bribe them all. Ikoyi style. |
If this shittery up was true, why not catch at least 20 of such offending marketer and.makeman example of them? Why not close the borders against their activities? |
So Dangote will sell at less than N460 NNPCL is currently selling as sole importer. That's because Dangote's refinery is bigger than the average and thus produces at lower than the average cost. He doesn't import and pay for transportation but pipes it down to his refining complex. If Dangote doesn't do long throat, he can sell at N400 or less. There is likely going to be a convergence of Exchange Rates so it should strengthen the Naira and reduce the per litre of petrol. |
Vischy:most of those his tenure will favour me crew are general suppliers and contractors looking to supply toothpicks, tissue papers and pen for billions of profit. Most have used the destiny of their kids to plus their luck onghe other side. Don't mind them. |
Senseless and corrupt liars everywhere. |
nairalanda1:Trash. What about the alleged loots by subsidy thieves? Suddenly the marketer no longer have money after allegedly stealing for decades. Now we know who the thieves are. |
Why then is NNPCL adjusting pump prices of petrol? It shows Tinubu is desperate to make it look like Buhari ended it on his exit from office and not a case of him triggering it on assumption of office. Let Tinubu take a leaf from his advise to Buhari in 2021 about recruiting 50,000 army personel and equally employ 10,000 into the border patrol to infiltrate smuggling rings and keep consumption of petrol down. That's around N10B a year and less than subsidy for a day. |
N100w panel is now 100k. 300w wind mill now 250k. How about that? |
Biodun556:better than pot belly looter painting Dubai and London red with it. |
iwaeda:subsidy was provided for until June 30th. We aren't in June yet. |
GeneralPula:Buba Marwa is the focus of the article. Stop the after thought Jay Jay. |
Other aspect of economy was mismanaged and the corrupt bunch went after subsidy. |
GeneralPula:See your life, asslicker and flying witchraft job makes one dull. He was appointed some two years ago. |
Buba Marwa is well deserved. We saw drug burst parades after he was appointed. I wonder what his predecessors were doing? |
Corruption is real and should be targeted before petrol subsidy is considered for removal. If corruption is tamed, petrol consumption can even go down to as low as 15 million litres a day. |
Trash. Subsidy was provided for until 30th of June this is 31st of May. |
It comes in through the SW and needs extra transportation to get to the north, thus the extra cost. You may also have noticed it gets costlier as you go from Abuja to the northern border. |
richmond500:who gave Dangote cheap forex? Same people are doing hajj and pilgrimage generally with cheaper forex. Lastly, why haven't any of the four existing refinery been fixed? |
Stale repetition. Corruption can be removed also to achieve all those. Why remove what is benefitting the masses when it can be improved. |
Reduction isn't equal to removal. |
nairalanda1:your are replying to fragments of your imagination. I didn't cakk you supporter of any party or politician. |
What nonsense! |
That's very possible. Imagine landmarks like 10% of petrol subsidy goes anytime any of the below targets are attained. 1. Additional 2000 megawatts of fossil fuel power is added to the national grid. 2. Renewable energy capacity increases by 1000 megawatts. 3. When a net increase of 50,000 long term jobs are created. |
iwaeda:while I admit it is harsh on us. Employment isn't by what you read in school. If there ends up being high supply of teachers, others should Channel their effort into other useful vocation that's needed. |
iwaeda:medulla. |
Removal of petrol subsidy is down to fiscal indiscipline, lack of will to tackle corruption and power intoxication. If not, the govt should favour employing 10,000 hands to man the border and infiltrate the smugglers. Paying them N75,000 a month comes to N750m a month and N10B/yr. That's like what smugglers make in a day or two according to general subsidy figures being bandied around. |
Lol. God is alive. This oil is in the ground for free but greed will likely destroy humans. |
nairalanda1:you are not making sense but only being aggressive about your interest. |
nairalanda1:stealing didn't cause inflation. Corruption didn't. It is subsidy that's eating money because it concerns the masses more and doesn't take away money from their pockets directly. Ride on. |
