Very sad.

Only 23. So many stupid things people do for money, but 16g and death sentence? That is extreme.

You're not lost.

Buy books, ask people for help and you will eventually learn.
Remember to expose yourself to the language and engage in challenging conversations as often as possible. Listen to everything that's being said, and how it's being said.

"All universities/schools in Norway are tuition free, apart from the private owned ones, which I will not link here. The only thing you need to pay is a semester fee, which varies from 8000-16000 Naira every 6 months.

Yes, I am on facebook. Send me a PM and we can sort it out. I highly recommend NTNU, it is one of the best universities in Norway, and I am starting there myself this august.

Here you can take a look at the different Norwegian courses: http://www.ntnu.edu/studies/international/norsk_kurs/norwegian_as_2nd_app.php
(I recommend 10 month the most). If you are dedicated, you will manage to get a good grasp of the language. Taking one of these courses fufills the Norwegian language admission requirements, so you can apply for your bachelor.

Note of importance: to apply for the IFUS program, you will have to wait until october. IFUS is basically language course and then straight to your bachelor at the same university. Semester course is not guaranteed admission to your prefered programme (which IFUS guarantees). But if you want to study now, the semester course MIGHT be the better choice for you. But if you want the semester course at NTNU, (as far as I know) you will need a Norwegian ID card first to apply. That is a lot of hassle, so I recommend that you take it elsewhere, but that means you won't be at NTNU the whole time. Alternatively, you don't even have to attend a university to learn the language, but you will need to take a language proficiency test when applying, so you need a course regardless, but that could be anywhere. Plus, if you are an exchange student, you can take the semester course VERY EASILY, but you need to be an exchange student.

Overall, I do recommend that you take the bachelor at Høgskolen i Ålesund or apply for IFUS in october, because it will be much easier for you. Forget that I recommended the semester course, unless you are an exchange student. Master you can take anywhere beucase they are offered in English.

Thought I do know certain universities gives you an additional year, where you learn the language before attending your bachelor (different from IFUS). So far, I don't know if NTNU offers this. I will see if I can find out more.

(The English versions are not as detailed, so don't be put off if it doesn't look very profressional!)

There are more of these international relations (for the most part called "international studies" or "internasjonale studier" in Norwegian), but I have to find them manually. OK, there are quite a few that are not available to international students. UiO does not offer the course to international students, sadly. There are many master's degrees in international studies that you can apply for, but since you need a bachelor, that's not an option. I'm sorry if the results are dissapointing. But this is what I found after over an hour of searching. (It's late now, but I will look for more when I wake up).

What is important to note is that some universities, such as NTNU, allow you to apply for the regular bachelor programmes as long as you can prove your proficiency, while some universities don't. That is why I will do some more research to find out which universities allows for this. Though for now, it seems like your only hope is HiL.

As with Achu442 here, you will most likely need a course in Norwegian for most of these bachelors.

As always, if anyhting is unclear, let me know and I will try to resolve the issue. And I want to undermine that I do not know much about the language courses, please send the universities an e-mail where you can ask questions about the courses they offer and the easiest way possible to complete one, because it might be easier than explained above.

Bear with me as I try to find the easiest way for you to complete a course.

Update: So far, it seems like most universities should be able to offer than one extra year when you have applied for a bachelor that requires proficiency in Norwegian. EducationRe: Has Anyone Applied To Any Norwegian University For Since Application Started? by StarFlux:
Yes, they are tuition free. You do however need to pay 8000-16000 naira per semester.

Give me a couple of minutes and I will find some universities for you.
The main problem with taking a bachelor in Norway is that they often require you to speak Norwegian, that normally doesn't apply to Master programmes.

http://www.ntnu.edu/ (only offers master in Marine Engineering & Nautical science in English, but does offer Bachelor if you can speak Norwegian).

Bachelor in Nautical science: http://www.hials.no/eng/hials/education/bachelor_programmes/nautical_studies
Bachelor ship design: http://www.hials.no/eng/hials/education/bachelor_programmes/ship_design

So you mostly have to go through Høgskolen i Ålesund (university of Ålesund) if you want it in English. That's all I could find for now. But you can do a 6 month course in Norwegian and you have a lot more possibilities.

bigrovar: Concerning the AK47. I think its a good rifle for 3rd world conflicts. Its rugged and experiences less jam which would be very important for a desert conflict with lots of sands... another advantage of using the AK47 is should any of our guys ever run out of bullets its always easy to feed on the enemies supply.
True dat. It's way more sturdy and can take a beating unlike a lot of newer guns.

HealthRe: Stopped Smoking? How Did You Manage It? by StarFlux: 3:59am On Jan 18, 2013
Calculate the total cost of your smoking habbit, the number will shock you. Ask non-smokers around you how it is to get smoke in the face and how you stink of nicotine.

One thing I don't tolerate, it's my friends firing up a smoke when I'm standing close. Smoke is just disgusting, shortens your life and has no benefit. Use the money on something actually useful.
