He's been tremendous for all our championships(perhaps not for this one. ), so it should be hard to get rid of him. But, why wouldn't they want to control the situation? Why wouldn't they frown on leaks? The leaked video makes the optics really bad and perhaps may force the organization to take a different decision, even though Myers said this would be handled internally(I hope they do not bow to media pressure, though. If you allow it once, you may lose control of your controlling power. ) . Meanwhile, I would love that, Lebron over the last few years has turned himself into a relics collector, so why not?

That is why organizations who are in the public domain should either have a PR risk management section in house or have one on retainer. The fact that a team president is saying publicly that he made this decision based on his conscience is just juvenile.
They did the hard part in keeping it quiet from the time it was reported to when they decided to deal with it, but the bungled the execution. All they needed to do was investigate it properly and have conclusive answers that kills any iota of speculation, by the time they were ready to make it public.
Their approach just allows for speculation that might come to bite them in the ass if they are not careful, unless it was their desire to dominate the news cycle for more than necessary.

The Celtics never said it was consensual, reports without a source said that, and other reports also without sources, have emanated pointing to possible misconduct/missteps on Ime's part.
So the hiring of a law firm is the right call albeit a bit late IMHO. The Celtics dropped the ball big time on this one, they should have gotten it properly investigated as soon as they were made aware of it in June, if they had done that they would have come out with a more complete picture, and all this speculation would have been largely unnecessary.

In the last 20 years, The Warriors have pulled the most ratings in the NBA finals. The most recent one still topped Lebron and the Lakers as well as Giannis and his bucks. If anyone cites COVID-19 tell them that every other shows' ratings improved as a result of it. I mean viewership not attendance.

The Celtics need a real point guard, someone that can actually facilitate an offense, and read the floor. This would make the job a lot easier for Tatum and Brown.
This series was won on Defence, the Boston defence limited the warriors to less then 110 points per game, they scored less than they did against Dallas, Denver and Memphis, the difference however was that the warriors no 2 defence Totally smoked Boston's offence while Bostons No 1 Defence couldn't do much again Curry.... He beat them over and over again.
They never solved Curry even in their wins. The one game they managed to lock up curry, they lost.
Going into the Western conferences finals, Doncic and Tatum were ranked as better players than curry. He owned them both. They aren't there just yet but they could be.
The amazing thing isn't just the win, it's the fact that this warriors Team is not fully Blended. Their core played less than 30 games together. They have a very high ceiling. I expect to see them back here, this time next year....

I hope this effectively ends the debate about the warriors needing Durant in becoming a dynasty. They just needed any effective small forward and good role players. Good times ahead. Poole and Kuminga heating up.
