Politics / Re: Why Do People Support Buhari?? by SternProphet: 4:57pm On Jan 03, 2019 |
Buhari is loved for INTEGRITY. If it is hard for you to understand love for integrity when you are voting for human beings who affect your destiny and your children's then you are under a curse. It's the most important quality and it is so lacking in Nigeria amongst politicians. People steal out if cowardice about the future, they steal because other people expect them to, most steal because tgey are lazy and can't compete on fair terms in life. We are voting Buhari because he is one of the few amongst the Nigerian elite who can fish out pain and punishment to members of his class. |

ugo4u:Intelligent post. Why did Boko Haram choose this period to attack far flung outposts I a serial manner? Answer: Haramattan haze weather. Same reason they were hoping the Air force would be too reluctant to launch sorties due to low visibility, they probably can shoot down planes with manual sighting AAAs. If this aircraft was shot down then a guided missile was probably used which is worrisome. 1 Like |

slimfit1: Just to inform you, people have been posting this stuff for more than 10 years. Nigeria is not going to get Apache. The US is not selling it to Nigeria. They are not even selling choppers less capable than Apache. Nigeria should not even attempt to buy Apaches. They are capable but not useful to us and very expensive to operate and maintain. The enemy is Boko Haram. It's not an invincible enemy. A little seriousness and discipline will defeat them. |

Politics / Re: 2019: Bokoharam Already At The Next Level. by SternProphet: 11:00am On Jan 02, 2019 |
Really? Most of the Boko Harams who attacked Nigeria Army installations in the North East are wasted. Dead. Killed by air strikes and special forces. They are next level in hell. The Nigerian soldiers were careless, stupid and unprofessional to have lost bases but it appears Bokos even more stupid and unprofessional to have lost all ground gained. The attacks were not even meant to achieve any objective but to embarrass. Anyway they are at the "correct level" now. |

Henry240: Agreed. Buratai is behaving like Mourinho. If your original approach was wrong, humble yourself, admit it and make changes. The spread-out, man every square feet of territory is not so bad but it calls for a level of commitment in air support and intersecting forces the NA never planned for. We also seem to have recruited a lot of jokers into the Nigerian Army. Kids who will sleep on duty, not do basic base defence, run from the enemy in slippers and post videos of themselves in slippers saying unprofessional things. It is actually a disgrace to this generation. Nigerians have no sympathy for a soldier telling us he ran, 70 of his comrades are killed and he is running back home. Meanwhile you are carrying a Beryl rifle all this while and your colleague in same video has the latest RPG. This same national attitude of indiscipline, weakness, lack of endurance and lousiness is reflected in poor maintenance of refineries and power plants. Meanwhile, the Boko Haram boys putting them to flight to capture their heavier weapons are of same age, less pampering, probably more ideological and spiritual fervour. We hear a whopping N380bn now being spent on hardware. This should just be a tip of the iceberg. A full 're engineering of processes, TTTPs, and standards is required especially in the conduct of COIN. 4 Likes |

Politics / Re: Atiku May Lose 2019 Presidential Election – PDP Governor by SternProphet: 10:21am On Jan 01, 2019 |
There is nothing compellingly existential or fundamental driving Atiku presidency. He is a very ordinary Nigerian politician doing ordinary things the way they have been done between 1999 and 2015. The economy is improving in spite of pockets of hardship in a few urban areas caused by old structural hangups. People don't want to change old jobs, old business lines, old corruption networks and yet they are complaining. The SE and SS are actually recovering faster economically than other areas and it is a big problem with trying to demarket Buhari in some PDP strongholds. Major markets have solar power, Innoson is being patronised, Niger bridge is going up and agric has taken off. More importantly, Obi's emergence will send more than ten major SE politicians to political death and it's NOT going to happen. These are Governors who cooperated with Buhri to take out the IPOB menace that would have brought unbelievable destruction on the region just finally recovering from the effects of the civil war and successive govt neglects The SW and North are actually where Atiku should be campaigning but he has ZERO value propositions for them. I will even say MINUS for the North apart from he himself being a northerners. |

ayomilore: Buhari, go and rest is a prediction of health challenges NOT loss of elections. All these predictions (not prophecies) are from the devil. The only true prophecies from God are general, broad and not human calendar related and exhorting to holiness and righteousness. "If this is not done, I will do this, thus saith the Lord..". Thats a prophecy. "In 2019, Mr X won't be able to make love to his wife.." Thats prediction and it's satanic and only complete fools take them serious. All true prophecies should be like Pastor Adeboye's prophecy. If to you a prophecy should be specific like ...someone will die, fail exams or lose elections, then you are unconsciously relating to a family background in witchcraft or idol worship. You are a SENSATIONALIST not a Christian. As for the 2019 elections, God is not a democrat. Democracy is an inferior way of choosing leaders. What we know is that God works in 7- year cycles. Maybe that's why most Presidents win second term or when they succeed an incumbent, their "era" spans about 7 years. 1 Like |

Aura2: Yes. Knowledgeable people are now say I g this. No recession in 1983. There was a near recession in 1982 under NPN. Nigerians of these generation dwell in ignorance. It is pathetic because this is the age of knowledge and innovation. That is why LIES based on ignorance get repeated by mentally lazy people. I was in university in 1983. My parents were middle class. There was shortage of "essential commodities" mainly FMCG. The ones as I 'remembered were milk, sugar and some toilet soaps. That was all the effect of Buhari's belt tightening. The interesting thing was these commodities were being made in Nigeria by WAMCO, Tate & Lyle and Flour mills and what the FG then was working with MAN to support all local manufacturers for massive expansion. It was the BANNING of locally produced consumer goods and the temporary shortages caused by trying to encourage import substitution that ignorant young Nigerians are now calling RECESSION. I hate to be insultive but it is a class thing. If 1984/1984 was difficult for you then you or your parents were small scale TRADERS not educated enough to understand the economic policies of the times. You or your parents were also likely economic saboteurs who were smuggling competitive things to those being produced locally to dedtroy the local manufacturers. You or your parents were also likely to be "import license resellers" selling paper to other paper buyers in one of the most destructive urban rackets brought by the precedimg decadent ruling NPN administration. 1 Like |

FarahAideed: This is an idiotic statement and you have just told us that Buhari will win next elections hands down. NPN vaporized the middle class and they were two stupid to reply with their votes and then NPN rigged elections all over the West. Still no reply from middle class. The middle class is the problem with Nigeria. Lazy, entitled, satisfied with crumbs from the ruling class who are actually less intelligent than middle class people. It's a funny narrative. I think the black man is just a lazy, un emancipated buffin. Food, sex, parties and the brain eill go to sleep. Last week I met numetous tradesmen who consider themselves lower class but successfully combining factory jobs with their professional trades and even doing commercial agriculture on the side. I have stopped feeling sorry for office bound middle middle people. |

Covert1: BIG LIES popping. I keep saying the median IQ in Nigeria is low that is why people pass on FALSEHOOD like a relay race.. They told you Buhari caused recession twice and you just brainlessly repeated it. What is a "recession" and what does the word "cause" mean?. A recession is three quarters of negative GDP growth and it is usually not caused by the administration voted in to solve the problem. 2014 recession cause = PDP (Goodluck Jonathan) Buhari caused no recession in 1983. NPN caused the recession of 1983. No knowledgeable person is denying it. We were saddled with short term debt by NPN looters and suddenly oil price came down to $9 a barrel. Banks were not honouring our L/Cs. One NPN minister (Umaru Dikko) was responsible for bringing imported rice into Nigeria in a value equal to the entire foreign exchange earnings for 6 months. All petroleum exporting countries felt the shock of oil price crash . The situation that caused 1983 economic recession for Nigeria was the same as in we saw in 2014 - an import dependent economy, a weak and stupid President in power, looting by members of the ruling party and BOOM.. poverty. 1983 recession cause = NPN (Shehu Shagari) Nigeria has an economy dependent on one international product. That is the problem. We know Buhari has improved AGRO exports by 300% and is bringing down rice imports. What will also help is massive INFRASTRUCTURE construction being done that will not only improve internal economic efficiency but also bring service sector jobs. Railways, their terminals and connecting transportation is a good example of service sector jobs. The great danger us that technology is wiping out jobs globally. All jobs are under threat. If you want to solve Nigeria's problem, do public infrastructure and get a lot of small holders doing farming. Atiku and his crooked/scared shitless team (They are all owing banks or have EFCC cases) don't just have a clue. If I build a factory today, it will take 10 times LESS manpower than three years ago. Technology is wiping out jobs fast.Jobs are dying. Jobs are dying. Jobs are dying. Get your heads screwed on right. For you office bound, semi idle, non innovative urban dwelling middle class, your problems are many and it is NOT Buhari. You need paradigm shift. Artificial Iintelligence is here and your job will disappear. Not may dusappear, WILL DISAPPEAR. It is not an insidious threat. It will suddenly happen and the global billionaires pouring money into the Industry 4.0 technologies, AI, et.c don't give a damn that you were too weak to feed yourselves under PDP or run your scrappy refineries. THERE IS A LARGER, MORE OMINOUS GLOBAL CONTEXT THAT WILL DEVELOP BETWEEN 2021 UPWARDS. I see nothing in PDP manifesto about re-skilling, about small holder agric, small holder AGRO processing, renewable energy. They want to repeat the mistake of 2010 in 2019. It will hurt. Everybody use your head. We are already seeing that tradesmen - auto mechanics, electricians and plumbers are doing better than office-based, fixed income pen pushers who can no longer steal money due to Buhari reforms but from 2021, even that your job is going. A courageous, truth seeking person eill see that all Buhari is doing is setting the economy on a sound footing with some temporary hardship. He himself has admitted that there is hardship. My addition to that is whoever taught you there is progress without hardship has destroyed your life. 8 Likes 2 Shares |
