Germany has laws and rights to protect you undecided. I will be surprised if the statistics on police brutality against blacks in Germany is anything close to America's so you should be more afraid to even live in America.
Also, virtually most Germans you will interact with on a day to day basis can communicate in English especially the educated ones.

sweetTai:
I have only lived in America and Nigeria, and I’ve always said that if for some reasons America becomes inhabitable for me, Nigeria is the only other place I can live. As a black person, I’ll take Canada over any European nation. Canada seems to have laws and rights to protect me. And Canada seems easier since large percentage of Canadians speak English.
Travel › Re: Canada Or Germany, Which Country Is Better? by Sterope(f): 10:01pm On Mar 27, 2019
Western european countries- less consumerism, great social system, subconscious racism, high tax rate. Europe is what it is because of it is history.

Canada and America (Canada is way better than America)- great for professionals, consumerist society;
good social system (Canada especially if you have got a job); shitty social system (America-unless you have got a great job)

The truth of this does not seem straightforward. Either way, the doctor should face disciplinary measures, we can't have doctors sleeping with patients.

Family › Re: Dowry For Islamic Marriage In Nigeria Now N13,438 – Cleric by Sterope(f): 12:09pm On Mar 27, 2019
There is no such thing as equivalent accepted price. The article said the scholar said that the amount is the official acceptable fee.

Every muslim bride has the discretion to fix her own Mahr. If it is an ijma, it should be stated clearly that it is not binding on anyone not that it is the official acceptable amount for dowry.

AbuAeesha:
yeah, the scholar didn't said the bride can't fix it on her own, dowry could be anything worthy and also legal to the bride, but that amount is the equivalent accepted price, one can pay more than that...
Family › Re: Dowry For Islamic Marriage In Nigeria Now N13,438 – Cleric by Sterope(f): 7:40am On Mar 27, 2019
Not at all. Islam did not fix dowry. It can be less or more, the bride is required to considerate.

Halogenonimisi:
It's not like that, the dowry is rather given to her alone as it's for her alone and her right, Islam has already given the least amount to be paid, but can be increased if the man is capable but the lady can ask for something else provided is worth that amount or more than that.

Summary of the story, your wife lives in fear and you think yourself a mini-god. May your circumstances not change for the worst grin

Kurumaru:
For the cheating, just count yourself amongst the rare cases if you have bin married for more than a decade and u never cheated on ur wife.
As for the "Hitting a woman" I told my wife from the on set that I don't surport that but I won't hesitate to if she provokes me, I gave her extreme situations as examples. She understood.. To the glory of God, this December will mark our 15th yr anniversary & we hardly even quarrel.
Now my point is, while I admit that there are some very violent men, yet I will tell u that most cases of cheating and violence are as a result of certain circumstances. It is a privilege not to fall victim of such circumstance

This must be one of the most annoying argument for spousal abuse. The boy has a stake in his mother's life that is her physical and emotional well being. It doesn't matter who is responsible for making her life miserable, he is obligated to protect her from it. She is the victim here and must be treated as such regardless of who the he-goat is.

Well, he shouldn't have gone for the matchete. The family must be dysfunctional for such a thing to happen.

Ten06:
Since when has it been the role of the boy to fight for his mother being cheated on, was he there when the father married the mother? He is a stupid boy that doesn't know his problem

You are very rude. You rubbished the whole cinema because you couldn't differentiate between what's shown in the cinemas or on TV/subscription.

How many Vikings-esque high budget movies have been made for the past 5 years? If it is the low budget ones, they even hardly show it in most cinemas in America. The Gladiator movie you talked about was years ago and it was before Nigerian cinemas were properly up and running. Your other examples like house of card (a Netflix series not even made for TV plus it is not vikings-esque ) Vikings (TV series) compare them to Jurassic Park, wakanda Black Panther and Aquaman, they are movies made for the cinema. You don't know what you are talking about, Nigerian cinema is ridiculously cheap and it has managed to show many blockbuster movies for viewing. Please appreciate them!

Dirkcoyt:
You’re rude. Your brain should tell you I’m talking about movies with the Vikings-esque ! Too dumb! Gladiator a movie version of tv series like Spartacus! Or were you expecting me tho spell it out for low end processors like yours?
Celebrities › Re: Kunle Afolayan Screens ‘Mokalik’ In Lagos (Photos & Video) by Sterope(f): 10:23am On Mar 20, 2019
The guy is confused. He thinks in America, they show TV series in the cinema undecided

IntrovertedK:
it's what hollywood distributors brought though. Cinemas exhibitors don't bring in movies. Buh deadpool, mission impossible 7 or so were in Nigerian cinemas sha and probably still available.
Celebrities › Re: Kunle Afolayan Screens ‘Mokalik’ In Lagos (Photos & Video) by Sterope(f): 10:22am On Mar 20, 2019
Your prefer TV series to movies. So what does that have to do with going to the cinema? In what world do they show TV series in cinemas? Mtcheeewww

Dirkcoyt:
Stop making assumptions man. I follow it I check the list before visiting and most of the movie they show are not my type of movies. You can’t someone that love movies like house of card,Vikings to go and watch Jurassic Park.wakanda,aquaman. These are not my type of movies but these are the type the Nigerian cinemas will bring for wider audiences reach and profit which I don’t blame them.

Common sense dictates so. They are the ruling party for a reason that is they have the numbers. We are in a democratic country, the majority rules.

Khaleell001:

A muslim is suppose to keep quiet and learn and not think their opinions are needed.
Islam › Re: Islamic Way Of Congratulating Parent On The Occasion Of Birth by Sterope(f): 7:50pm On Mar 15, 2019
And it is the writer's opinion that is needed? Making things unnecessarily complicated.

Every Muslim knows that Islam is basically a way of life but it does not translate to explaining the most absurd things like how to congratulate parents. The Qur'an did not mention it and I can't remember reading the prophet saying a lot of 'how to'.

Nurrex:
it's your opinion that's not needed.

I haven't but I know a couple of people who turned out right. What they all had in common were parents who decided to be FULLY involved in their education.

onegig:
You sure have never attended a public school in Nigeria.

80% aren't schools but motor parks in the name of schools.

Crowded out classes, extreme social vices and bullying, non stable school system due to strikes and whatnot, also zero control due to the sheer disparity in the ratio between students and teachers.

Infact at some point the students even have to buy chalk, paint the wall boards, pay PTA fees and still get absolutely nothing in terms of education.

Any parent that wants to damage the lives of their kids should send them to a public primary school. You would learn the true value of ignorance.
Celebrities › Re: Toke Makinwa Reacts To Video Of Warri Girl Sent Out Of School For School Fees by Sterope(f): 2:16pm On Mar 15, 2019
Children should not be flogged because their parents can't pay school fees. The government should better need to address it. They are better sent back home.
Islam › Re: Islamic Way Of Congratulating Parent On The Occasion Of Birth by Sterope(f): 10:08am On Mar 15, 2019
Most are basically common sense and courtesy. A good person will congratulate the parents anyways and a good believer will say a prayer or two for the baby and the new parents. There are some people that take it too far. This topic is not needed.

JeromeBlack:
It is only robots or computers that come with instruction manuals.

Must Islam tell you what to do in every situation?

What just happened to congratulating and wishing the parents well?

Also as Nigerians, we have our own cultures that have a process of celebrating with parents and their newborns.

A brain is a good given gift, we should not waste it.

Celebrities › Re: Jim Iyke To Help Angry Warri Girl Sent Home From School by Sterope(f): 10:05am On Mar 15, 2019
That is not true. If the parents are educated or value education and they don't have the funds for private school. Public school, a bit of extra help with school work and provision of textbooks will do wonders.

Donbigi2:
because it’s better to be at home than goto a public school. You will not learn anything
