Two strategies that have greatly enhanced my indie publishing career and increased my earnings are as follows:

1. Writing and publishing more books.
2. Increasing the rate I promote my published books through social media.

As simple as these strategies may appeared to be, they are very effective.

My wife loves the comfort that comes with a car(i mean, who wouldn't) , she talks about it everytime. Last year, i made some savings and decided to get a car buh unfortunately, with the help of a trusted mechanic, i made a bad buy which i sold at a loss shortly after i bought it.

This morning , my wife told me her younger brother wants to get her a car and she told him she has 1.5 million naira ready (she was asked dou). The guy promised to get the car for her this weekend as long as the 1.5 million is readily available.

Now my issue is, this 1.5 million she told her brother she has is the money i got from the sale of my bad purchased car. The boy did not know the source of the money and probably think his sister actually have 1.5m to add to what he has to get the car.

I really do not know what to do rn cos i know getting the car will make her very happy and i do not want to hinder that, but I'm not really comfortable with the whole arrangement. I really don't know what to do.

The car he wants to get, according to my wife is valued at 5m.

You said your wife told the brother she has 1.5m, that is where the issue is. The right thing for her to say is that we have 1.5m (you and her) from the sale of our car. By so doing, the brother will know you have contributed to the purchase of the car.

So, you don't really have to interface with the guy. Just tell your wife to clarify the issue with her brother.

Before I came back from ikoyi prison my babymama wasn't living with me again but we were on good terms.

So before I came back she was already living in our house with her junior brother, my mom gave them a go ahead to live there because my son needed one of his parents meanwhile my babymama house was sold so they were sent out and she needed a place to stay with her sibling. So it was my mom's idea to let her come so she can be with our son.

Though I didn't have a problem with that because we were on good terms even if we weren't dating again.

Ever since I was back from prison it was not but I kept doing my best to find a job or business.

So on Saturday I got a message to come for a interview today Monday. This morning I reached out to my babymama to borrow me 1k to use as transport fare but she said she didn't have likewise her junior brother.

So I left for the interview, I trek to and fro, infact I haven't eaten anything. But to my greatest suprised when I got home this evening I met my babymama mother with them in the room.
She started shouting at me that I'm a thief and I stole her son money 13k. I was suprised because why would they even think about that kinda thing against me.

She called her older son who's a civilian staff to a military man to come with a military friend to come pick me up if I don't say d truth. In my own father's house oooo..

The embarrassment wasn't here that the whole neighbors came out and started begging the woman on top something I didn't do, I stood my ground that I didn't do it so I called my mom to let her know what was happening, and she came around.

My mom told the woman she disrespected me for accusing me for such thing, but d woman said she doesn't trust me again because I am broke and I just came back from prison. This is someone I was very good to when I was still well to do.

I explained to everyone that I trekked to work and I haven't eaten, which some other neighbours confirmed that I also came to them to ask for money.

Anyways they searched again and saw d money, the money wasn't even upto the said amount, but I'm vindicated.

I told my mom I don't want to see them again in d house because she's d one who brought them in but she pleaded I should give dem time to get a new place. Still because of my son, I don't want to take any rash decision.

But truth be told, I was so embarrassed something of such happened under my own roof from a mother in law.

I have cried my eyes out afterwards but I need advise if I should leave them or send them away. I decided to share here to get advise

BTW, no one takes me serious again, I'm just back from prison, I'm broke with nothing to show so if I talk they will just shun me.

I am still recovering, I didn't expect this type of allegation

Hello Omajuwa. I am a 40year old married woman. My younger brother of 37years old got married last year despite the entire family being against him marrying his Igbo wife.

Our parents had wanted him to marry a Yoruba lady as the only boy they had but he got married to her without our parent’s blessings. Sadly, My brother died in a car accident October last year.

However, sometime in December, I went for a close friend’s naming ceremony in a far away area. I had gone there a day before the naming ceremony to be able to help with cooking and other errands. Later in the evening, I was out in the neighborhood looking for where to buy toothbrush as I had realized that I forgot to come with one. In my search for it, I saw my late brother’s wife coming out of a motel with a man. I was shocked but I didn’t let her see me.

After they had gone far, I went inside the motel. I had to bribe the receptionist before she told me that she and the man occasionally come there even though it had been awhile she came before that day. The only person I could tell was my husband and we both agreed to let it go so as not to open my parents’ wounds.

However, this lady came to our house few days ago to share the news of her being pregnant for my late brother. My father walked out while my mother has been so elated, claiming that her child at least left an heir. She has been trying to convince my father for them to welcome and cater for the woman and the baby. But I have been lost as to what to do. How sure are we that the child belongs to my brother? Why is she here with such news after about 3months of my brother’s death? Do I tell my parents what I saw? How do I handle this? Please advise me.

We've had series of useless and lazy househelps. They are a necessary evil for us given our busy schedules, kids and big house. Last year we got lucky to get Rukky, a beautiful and hardworking young woman. Rukky has just informed my wife that she is not returning after the Xmas holidays and my wife is now blaming me. Her reason is shocking to me and I need the opinion of married women and ladies in general.

My wife said that Rukky left because I made no attempts to flirt with her after 9 months. It was obvious Rukky liked me but I always acted like she was not there. How do I flirt with another woman under the same roof with my wife and kids? My wife believes that if I had given Rukky a little attention she would have stayed longer. She is just missing the girl's hardworking nature.

I truly don't understand this.

She might not mean "flirt" in the real sense of the word.

She probably meant appreciating her presence and work and once in a while having a few honest chatter with her that shows you recognize her importance in the house.
