Christianity EtcRe: How The Jehovah’s Witnesses Are Better Christians Than The Rest Of Us by studentofTruth:
Psoul:
Well, my dear, I truly knw that your question was not really to build ur spiritual faith. You were asking just to twist the Bible a little.
Now let me clear you here.
God never created Adam and Eve to turn around to punish them. It is just like saying that God created Judas to betray Jesus and still God turned around to punish him.

The fact is that There is Satan in this world. So long as there is the existence of Satan here, bad things are bound to happen. Now, do God destine any man in particular to accomplish the bad thing? No...He will never do that. God created everyone with living conscience. He gives every man total freedom to chose between bn good or bn bad.

So God created Adam and Eve to enjoy and live happily in the Garden, they made their choice and god God offended. Just like in the case of Judas. The duty of betraying Christ was not handed over to Judas. It was available for anyone that will allow himself to be used by Satan. God knows that if He sends His son, Satan will like to kill him so that the mission will not yield fruit not knowing that killing Him will make it yield fruit faster. So Judas availed himself for that job. It could have bn anyone else.

Let me give u a practical example. Let's assume u are a student. You have a good looking smartphone. U know that if you leave ur phone unattended to in an open class, it will be stolen by someone. You want to know some of those students stealing ppl's stuff. Probably, u want to shame them to deter others.
Now, u drop ur phone in that empty class. God to somewhere and hide. U will be watching ppl coming and leaving the class. Some will come, see the phone and go their way. Someone who will allow himself to be used by Satan will take the phone, switch it off and convert it to his. If u catch this person and punish him/her, will I be right to say that you destined that person to steal ur phone?
You did not, but among many, he/she allowed him/herself to be used by Satan.
Your answer, as well as your analogy, is faulty. It limits God's omniscience. An all-knowing God knows who will steal the phone!

Show me catechism in the Bible.

Show me where Jesus Christ said the Priest (a sinner himself) is Christ's authority on earth.

You may talk to people and seek their advice and prayer, but confession is to God only. They just keep twisting BIble everywhere for these people and they are swallowing them hook, line and sinker.

Quote the Bible, my friend. Oh, you don't know the Bible. Where did Jesus say you should confess to another sinner (your priest). Confess to God, repent and be born again. He will give you His spirit and you will hate sin and don't need to confess again.

Open the Bible and read. Start from John chapter 1. One chapter a day. You will discover the truth yourself.

These are grand deceits they dish out to justify demon worship. They would also say 'oh you need to honour the mother of your Lord' when even Jesus shunned his own mum at a point. Lol. Justify your practice by Bible commands, not looking for things in everyday life to glibly explain it away. Read the Bible yourself, not what 'father' tells you.

Exactly. This is the problem with Nigerians. In his mind now, he's an innocent fellow who almost fell for a scam. To him, what he agreed with the lady to do to the lady's boss is not scam.

Disgusting fellows. Just like these property agents looking for ways to shortchange property owners and buyers all the time. I know one who will always add money to what the owner demands and front someone as the person bringing the buyer. The so-called buyer's agent will request that the owner adds his cut on top his asking price. A 500k ppty will be sold for 700k or 10mil ppty will be sold for 12mil. He pockets the extra and still collects his agency fees from both the buyer and the seller.

Even in house rent the same. From as little as a 200k rent, he will make nothing less than 150k. To rent a house in Lagos, you pay almost double of the house rent because of these assistant deputy landlords. To them, what they are doing is not scam.

Nigeria is hopeless seriously. Even the unborn are rogues!

alBHAGDADI:
This is a pure rubbish teaching coming from a Catholic Bishop of gay kingdom.

Where did God order that we should do what this preacher said with our tithe? Nowhere. What God said in Malachai 3:10 is that we should bring the tithe to his house. He didn't say we should branch somewhere else with it.

Yes, the pastor's idea seems like a reasonably brilliant and kind one, but that doesn't make it right in God's eyes. Remember that the way man thinks is different from the way God thinks.

Man thinks it is a good thing to give the tithe to someone in need of it. But where did God say such about tithe? Nowhere. He only said to bring it to his house and from there it is distributed to the needy.

Think of it this way: You are on your way to the hospital with 100k to pay for your child's medical bills. Suddenly you found a needy man. Be honest with yourself, will you give the money to the needy man to the detriment of your child in the hospital?

I can bet you won't. So why do you now think it is right to give your tithe to the needy man? Remember, it is God's money and you have no right to decide how to help God spend it, especially when he gave you no such order.

Look, don't let people bamboozle you weird scenarios like the one given by the preacher. Always stand by God's command. The tithe is his, and the only thing you can do with it is to take it to his house, nowhere else.

They may even use your child as an example, saying what if your child is sick and the money needed for treatment is equivalent to the tithe money you have, which is your last dime.

What will I say in this case? Give that money to God because it is his. At this point many will be kicking against me. Little do they know that they are kicking against Jesus who said...

Mathew 10:37
He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

Why do you think Abraham is referred to as a friend of God today? Because he obeyed God by proceeding to sacrifice his son Isaac as commanded by God. He didn't think twice. But people who are not worthy of Jesus are the ones who will disobey him by doing the thoughts of their heart instead of his word.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)
5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
And what did you learn from the parable of the Good Samaritan?

OP, I don't pray to welcome you to the club.

I have been there and still suffer the same thing — since 2007. Fortunately, yours isn't chronic yet. While I won't advise you to quit your job (like I did), because of the nature of the country, you need to find ways to reduce stress and relax better.

Medications are not usually the solution, though they may help in the short term. Reducing stress and exercising regularly will help you. Breathing deeply while in bed may help too. Don't forget to switch off the lights before going to bed. I have found that reading funny comments here, while in bed, helps me laugh hard, and it tends to improve my sleep — probably the brain releasing more relaxing chemicals like the endorphins.

But medically, having an elevated blood pressure at your age isn't normal. While it seems to be as a result of the stress, the right thing is to rule out other possible causes of elevated blood pressure in the young, such as hyperadrenalism, thyroid conditions, and kidney conditions. So, if you have enough money, I will suggest you visit the hospital and do the necessary tests — Adrenal hormonal assays, Thyroid function test, Kidney function test, and abdominal ultrasound.

Arghh.

Ok I got the name of the musician wrong.
What do you say about the 80% innocent rate?

This blanket arrest is evil; it's unjust! EFCC should do their job — investigate, get evidence, arraign and then parade. That is the way to tackle crime.

Tagging every young man working with a laptop as an internet fraudster is evil, and the fallout is dangerous!

The world has turned to a global village because of the internet. Online jobs can help reduce the level of unemployment in the country. It can reduce traffic and decongest our cities.

But instead of looking for ways to encourage the citizens, they're scaring the youths away from seeking legitimate means of livelihood.

Nobody says EFCC shouldn't eradicate the Cyber criminals, but they should do it the right way — the way FBI does it. Blanket arrest is not the way to go!

Goodnight!

Zlatan is not free.

He is on bail.

You need to know the difference.

The Payoneer issue could even be the error of the reporter.

It wasn't the official statement of EFCC.
You are wrong!
Zlatan and three others were freed. It's Nairamaley that's on bail.

https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/330030-zlatan-three-others-freed-naira-marley-still-in-efcc-custody.html

Now, you have your percent — 4 freed out of 5 arrested and paraded. That's 80% of those arrested and paraded were innocent!

Funny, I only thought it was only Zlatan and Nairamaley. But just like I said earlier, we know about Zlatan's release because he's popular — what about those three others? Most of us don't know they're freed — their faces have been paraded as criminals for life. Make no mistake about this — that their release appeared on the news was because they're released along side Zlatan. And as you can see, they were called "three others"!

My brother, there are countless "unreported three others" among all these youths unjustly arrested and paraded on a daily basis!

The same people who said that one Nigerian guy developed Payoneer. Was it not here that I read it?

Was Zlatan not paraded Nairamaley before he was freed? Now, being a celebrity, his acquittal was all over the place, so you and I know he did nothing wrong.

There are many like Zlatan among all these people arrested and paraded on a daily basis. Because they're nobody, you don't hear about their release. But their image have been forever tarnished!

Time and time again, we see them convicted for fraud.

They would state the victim.

They would state the sum.

They would prove the false identity by the criminal.

They would show how the money was transferred.

These guys would be convicted.

If you think otherwise, then it means you are not being truthful.
Another generic answer as expected.

Do you really think everyone of those guys paraded are prosecuted? Probably out of every 10 paraded, two or three are prosecuted. What happens to the innocent ones paraded without any crime?

So you think the best way to get a criminal is to arrest anyone you can lay your hands on and then sort them out later. What of the innocent fellows whose image are unjustly tarnished?

Let me ask you a question: did you read the FBI cases? How they did their investigation first and then arraign the criminal with evidence. Why can't EFCC follow international best practices?
Why parade before investigation, and in the process, get innocent ones paraded for no just reason?

How will you feel to be paraded as a criminal when you haven't done anything wrong? That's exactly what happens with this style of blanket arrest and parade. If you feel it's right, may it be your portion!

Another fallout of this gestapo style of fighting crime is that useful tools — laptops and phones — are now seen as criminal tools. Working with a laptop, as a young man, is like owning an unregistered firearm!

following intelligence reports received by the Commission about their alleged involvement in the criminal activity

But if you say they are freelance such as yourself, perhaps as colleagues you can help them out.
That's a neighbor reporting to the EFCC that some fellows stay at home and work with laptops is all that is needed to confirm that they are internet fraudsters?

I have no problem with the neighbors reporting people to EFCC. They may be ignorant, and that's fine.

The issue is with EFCC arresting someone based on hearsay and worse, parading the person based on hearsay, without first investigating the person to confirm whether he's committed any crime.

Why can't they check them first to get evidence of crime before parading them? If you claim that EFCC did that before parading them, why couldn't they say what the crime was?

From what you pointed, these fellows were arrested and paraded based on "them say he's into internet fraud"!

Now, an average Nigerian, yourself included, sees any young man working from home with a laptop as an internet fraudster.

In a 21st century where the entire world is connected online!

Dent or no dent, if you're good at what you do, those who need you will find you! (Pic attached — a client calling the introvert boss!).

While it is good to go after internet fraudsters, the way EFCC is going about it is nothing short of criminalizing laptops!

Did read about the FBI cases — the way the investigate crime first, Get tangible evidence, approach court and get an arrest warrant, before making an arrest.

But here, it is the opposite. EFCC will arrest, parade, before looking for an evidence to charge the person, and the person may end up being innocent. But by then his image is tarnished already.

Why can't EFCC develop the capacity to mount online surveillance, even if it means monitoring emails and international phone calls? Why criminalizing laptops?

We're in a digital world, and there's no way to work efficiently in this day and age without a digital gadget.

Our law enforcement agencies should grow up and stop criminalizing digital gadgets. Get a tech to monitor what goes out there. They should have surveillance techniques to monitor communications — emails, phone calls, etc — investigate suspicious dealings. Harassing everyone with a digital gadget is evil that must never be condoned.
