If Nigerians paid 50% of their taxes, they would be more interested in what their government is doing...and if Mr Government is doing nothing...there would be a lot of protests and then...let's say the old guys would be out of a job.

The problem with Nigeria is that we have been , since independence, dependent on revenues from whatever raw material we sell...not on taxes (which is a big part of why looting is commonplace...)

Subjecting the citizens to poverty will not make them to lose their ethno-religious attachments. I gave up on Nigeria because the country is irreconcilably divided along ethnic and religion lines. Extreme taxation won't eradicate that. Any attempt to confront the government will always die on the altar religion and tribalism!

Not taxing the rich directly. Luxury items, such as private jets, yatch, expensive cars (> #20 million) should be taxed 70% or more!

Marriage is highly overrated. I'm glad you earn a living. I pity any woman who doesn't have a source of income.

This all started right from my primary school days when l was barely 10yrs Old. Am now through with my university and l am still battling with this addiction.

You can't abruptly stop masturbation — no amount of prayer or deliverance that can abruptly stop it. If you try, withdrawal symptoms will obviously pull you back.

My advice is this: don't fight masturbation, just ignore it! How do you that? By keeping yourself busy as much as you can and masturbate only when the urge interferes with your work. This way, you will drastically reduce the number to 1 or 2 a day.

With time, it will reduce to only once or none a day. If it doesn't affect your sleep, with good understanding and management of your emotions, you will eventually start going weeks and months without masturbation. Avoid getting worked up. Doing what you love will help.

If it affects your sleep, you need to see a therapist for cognitive behavioral therapy!

Stress, in itself, is one of the major factors that lead to masturbation addiction. People don't get addicted to masturbation because they love it. No, most masturbation addicts use as a way to release stress — to ease off. For some, it's become a compulsive act, without which they can't concentrate on what they're doing or even fall asleep at night!

Masturbating that many times a day is what is described as "compulsive" behaviour.

It is not driven by high libido necessarily but by deeper psychological problems like anxiety, depression ,low self esteem or PTSD

Basically you are using that activity as a form of MOOD REGULATION to manage feelings of dysphoria

This could also be seen with social media/internet addiction, smoking, drugs etc.
For some people it is not masturbation but actual sex with real partners with a compulsive pattern
Many people are addicted to their phones/internet and do not know.
For some it is eating FOOD. Compulsive eating is also a common and related problem but quite hidden

I told people they'll regret asking for the 30k minimum wage increase. By this time next year, I can bet that the 30k will be worth far less than 18k. The minimum wage demand was a misplaced priority because it's never going to benefit anyone. I don't know what people see in the pieces of paper called naira. Instead of demanding for value, they're asking for more pieces of paper — false economics.

It would have been better to demand that the government cut their recurrent expenses — president shouldn't take more than #500k(including all allowances); vp 400k, senators 300k, HOR and ministers 300k.

Demand for good roads and other infrastructures from the money saved from these and other avenues ( 70%tax on luxury items — private jets, yatch, and any car above #20m).

Strike like they did in 2012 (#140)fuel subsidy — a complete lockdown until all the demands are met.

If truly they're engaging in crime or teaching/ learning how to engage in crime, then it's a good thing to arrest them. But if if they are innocent fellows learning computer programming, forex trading, or other legitimate means of making money online, what the EFCC did is shameful. These security agents can't be trusted. Personally, I find it difficult to believe that someone in his right senses will open an academy to teach people how to commit crime.

If not, get a good lawyer to accompany you to the police station. This case may get to a stage where your lawyer will need a record of your phone conversations with that your friend from the telecommunication company.

Certification is better but don't venture into it with all ur savings. Certifications won't put food on ur table immediately. Find something that will give you steady income. After graduating worked for a while with no good income. Naa so I carry laptop connected to the Internet and started book publishing. Today, I am free. I see between N900,000 - N1,000,000 monthly by God's Grace and have been doing this and taking care of a lot of financial obligations. Take advantage of the Internet legitimately and be financially free. No company in Nigeria will pay you what a dedicated and diligent work will give you on the Internet legitimately without defrauding anyone. Work no dey Nigeria o, use ur tongue count ur teeth b4 hand meet u. Peace!

My advice to any fresh graduate is to get certifications. Go get real certifications. I cannot overemphasize the importance of getting certifications. My friends who are HR managers in big Companies tell me they have vacancies. Plenty lot of them. But they rarely get people with the required certifications and couple of years of experience to take them up. For instance, there is a very high demand for Business analysts, HR analysts and Managers and Project managers with CIPM or PMP, PRINCE2 or SIGMA. These certifications don't come cheap but it sets you ahead of others. Also, the startup pay for them is not bad too.

Another option is to acquire IT skills. You can never go wrong with that. Thankfully, with YouTube, you don't have to pay through your nose to get started. Simply search for 'Skill name + tutorials' on YouTube. Find videos that are over 5 hours long. Take the course religiously. After that, register on Upwork and Freelance to offer your skill there. This is what thousands of 'reasonable' youths are doing to make thousands of dollars month. If you have a smartphone, laptop and access to internet and you are still broke, then your head needs to be checked seriously.

To the lazy EFCC and indeed most Nigerians, working with a laptop at home automatically qualifies one as a Yahoo boy. That's what they call me in my street, but who cares?
