You're increasing the value of inflation but you failed to increase the value of investment. Do you make money and bury in the ground. The reason people pump all their life savings building shanty homes in the first place is because of fear and ignorance. Inflation rate is 12%, so is the current rate of Treasury Bills and mutual funds. Some investments like Agrictech, a few FD even gets you as high as 20% (that's 8% above inflation).

This analogy already nullifies your argument. Money is not to be buried in the ground.

Just 30m? Bro use a Treasury bIlls calculator online to find the true yield of 3m in 30 years @12% annual interest rate.

You have N89m flat!

All these does not justify building a home when you don't have a job or business. There are risks everywhere. Homes get demolished everyday, most get flooded because owners run to creeks in the name of buying cheap land. Some even build on government acquired land and can barely afford the cost of a proper and registered survey/title. Let's not talk about the quality of many homes in Nigeria.

Property as an investment differs from property to become a landlord. Most Nigerians can't put their homes for sale because of generational ignorance and fear of what people will say. Some will rather die than sell their properties to make more money or improve their living conditions.

Everyone without a job or good income must desire a good business. It is a MUST.

Let's have this discussion on business section.
Funny, I don't have time to reply you word for word.

@ Calculations, I used words like "over" "more than" and "less than" because I wasn't quoting the exact figures and was trying to manage expectations.

Of course, money will not be buried in the ground. My point remains that real estate investment outperforms most businesses in Nigeria, and it's relatively safer! Ppty investment is ppty investment, whether private home or commercial building. Being an investment, it grows in value, and the owner can use it to solve their problems when the need arises — I don't buy the idea that people don't sell their investments if necessary! Of what use is the investment if it can't be used to solve a pressing need. Right thinking humans invest to take care of future needs!

Treasury bills is a temporary investment. The return is always below inflation rate. Moreover, for some using the returns to solve personal needs as you initially suggested, the initial capital remains the same.

Are there businesses that will outperform ppty investment, yes! But they're few and may carry more risk.

Send me the link to the business session. I will like to have more discussion on that.

Meanwhile, I will like to know about the Agritech you talked about!

So as inflation is rising, you will bury your money in the ground and sleep on like the unprofitable servant in the New Testament?
I posted that when I was eating and couldn't type much. I have updated the post, please go and read it again. In fact, see it here:

The purchasing power of the money drops by the day — @12% inflation rate, the 3m will be worth less than 200k in 30 years.

The 100k rent may be going at more than 1.5m in that 30 years

A a good landed ppty at 3m may be worth over 30m in that 30years

While it doesn't make sense for someone without a stable income to engage in a property project, don't make it sound like it's better to be paying 5m per annum in a rented apartment in Lekki (just to answer a Lekki resident) than to own a good house on the mainland.

You haven't even talked about businesses that fail. Most new businesses fail, so rushing to set up a business just because there's fund may be a disaster, if the person doesn't know everything about the business.

As regards Tbills, the rate is always a little below inflation rate, so it's still losing money in the long run. TB is a good way to temporarily reduce the effects of inflation on your bulk money before you find the right channel to invest it, and believe me, in a developing country like Nigeria where the cities are still developing, a good landed ppty outperforms most businesses.

No doubt, for someone who has a good scalable business with a great profit margin, investing in the business will pay more, but it's not everyone that has such opportunities.

Now, if I may ask, which profitable business (with low risk) do you think someone a can set up with 1m?
FamilyRe: My Husband Is Being Insensitive, I Need An Advice by studentofTruth:

It is NOT going to pay off on the short or long run. Not having a job and not being able to pay rent is more than enough reason to avoid spending all resources on a building project. Many of our aged parents made this mistake. A lot of them died poor with nothing. Only the children benefited at the end of the day by selling off the property.

Landlord harassment is not enough to provoke one into building a personal apartment. That anger should make you work harder to pay your rent, not spend what you don't have raising a shanty house.

The desire to raise one's income should supercede the desire to "lower" expenditure/expenses.

How can you even lower expenses by spending so much on a personal house?

Do a quick calculation;

Annual rent = N100k

Personal apartment/land = N2-3m (in a small town)

What's the sense in the above? 3m is rent for 30 years (assumed 0 inflation). Add 30 to your current age and tell me what you have.

That 3m in mutual funds, or a risk-free investment like TBills will yield at least 350k annually with 0 work. From that, you pay your rent easily, and increase your networth in a sporadic manner over a very short timeframe.
This analysis is wrong — it's missing inflation, which is the key factor in investment

The purchasing power of the money drops by the day — @12% inflation rate, the 3m will be worth less than 200k in 30 years.

The 100k rent may be going at more than 1.5m in that 30 years

While it doesn't make sense for someone without a stable income to engage in a property project, don't make it sound like it's better to be paying 5m per annum in a rented apartment in Lekki (for the sake of residing on the Island) than to own a good house on the mainland.

You guys just come online and post half truths and whatnot.

Please show me one single advert from 2005 where a plot of Land in Lekki 1 or 2 was 500k.

Yeah , real estate might bring you profits but for all its so called ROIs it's capital intensive and except you are doing large scale purchases which is out of the reach of the average Joe on the street, you are just wasting your time.

A plot of land in Ibeshe Ikorodu was generally sold for N250k in 2006/2007 . The minimum wage as at then was N13,000 and NYSC corpers were being paid 9500 or so. Petrol was N35 or N45 as at then, now it's hovering around N150. Inflation was at 18% as of January 2007.

After all said and done as at today, that same land can't fetch you more than 2Million in the same Ibeshe Ikorodu.

That's a paltry 600% return on investment after 12years. If you factor in inflation rates and CPI you would understand the profit margin isn't more than 10% . That's fucking outrageous for a long term capital intensive investment.

If i had a residual income of ONLY 250k as at 2007 to invest,I am sure i wouldn't be receiving 2million as a worthy return after 12 years. So you guys should stop touting lands and houses as an eldorado investment option. If you had so much residual income laying fallow you can go tie it up buying landed properties as an hedge against inflation but if you have limited capital and have a viable biz that gives you 30% to 40% returns on investment year on year please plough such funds into the biz. You would be better off.
Chief, which business/investment gives one 30-40% ROI year on year? I will like to invest in such business. Thank you.

97% of women who stay in abusive (physical or emotional ) marriages are staying because they lack funds to get their lives all together again if they leave . They depend on their husbands for survival and as such can’t leave irrespective of the treatment being meted to them . Such a shame

its always like this. Lemme give you a short story. A woman passing through similar stuff went to report to the police after the last beating almost ended her life, the police decided to invite her husband over but she refused (later found out it were her neighbours who pressurized her into reporting). She said she only wanted to make a complaint, she dont want her husband arrested. You can't force a woman to do otherwise hence she was asked to leave cause such cases can't be incidented as complaint. Two weeks later, news came that she was dead, died from assault by her husband, he was arrested and charged to court, he pleaded not guilty, remanded in jail and case adjourned. My bro, the case still dey on, funny enough, they have four kids
I can bet that she's dependent on the man for her feeding, shelter, and upkeep. Without financial Independence, they will insist on taking the beating.

Update On The Wife Battery Case: She Went Back To The Abusive Man

What's up people? This is an update thread on the wife battery case. This one might also be a bit lengthy, so bear with me. Lots of people have been asking me about the case, and I had to make this update to fill everyone in at once.

So about two weeks ago I brought an issue here about my neighbor who usually watches my four-year-old boy for me.

Read the previous thread here:

https://www.nairaland.com/5483166/wife-battery-should-drop-police

Just a little summary. She's a stay-at-home mom of two with a nursing baby and a boy who is my son's age. I used to leave work to pick the two boys up and take them to her house while I return to my office. I didn't know this before, but her husband is a very abusive man and my son unfortunately witnessed him beat her to near death twice.

The second time, he was the one that called me with her phone and I came and took her to hospital.

The issue then was that she didn't want to go ahead with the police case my husband and I filed for her. The man nearly murdered her and threatened over the phone to kill her if she ever comes back to his house. We had the call recorded but she insisted that he was only angry and would calm down soon enough.

She begged us not to call her family or report to anyone, that she can handle it by herself. One of her friends came to help her in the hospital while I took her one-year-old girl with me. I actually insisted.

,......

So that terrible incident happened on a Friday, while I created the thread on a Sunday. On Thursday, the evil man finally came home. He hadn't called once to ask of his children. His son David was in the hospital and wasn't even going to school that week. I had to take the little baby to my office with me, and my only luck is that she's not the feisty sort.

He didn't come over to my house to check on the girl. I wasn't even sure he knew that she was with me. A fence separates our house and theirs but I heard his car rev in for the first time in days.

My husband and I had decided to bring her family into the case rather than just let it die off like that. We contacted her elder brother without her knowledge and told him everything. They are local people but we felt he would be more enlightened than others. He told us he would take things from there and that we should go and withdraw the police report. At least, we had done our bit and cleared our consciences.

My son kept asking me when David would resume school, but I told him to let David be with his mom. I didn't know how to tell the kid that he wouldn't be staying at David's house after school again. I can't have him in a toxic environment. I'd started picking him up and bringing him back to the office with me, and that's how I intend to keep things for now.

The lady came home last Friday, after about a week in the hospital. She called me everyday to ask after her child and I visited once with the baby while she was still at the hospital. She still has bandages on her arms and face and still can't open her left eye properly. She came to my house in the evening with her younger sister to collect her baby. I noticed she was embarrassed. She just said a word of thanks and demanded for the girl. I packed the girl's things (even the ones I bought with my money) and handed her over.

Before she left, she told me not to worry about David anymore, that she would start going to get him herself. I told her that even though my son returns to my office with me now, I can still pick up her son because I have to pass the street's entrance on my way back to work. She could be waiting for him whenever I'm about to drive by. She said no. That she'll be fine.

Well, we did our bit. We took some pieces of advice here and got her family involved. But we withdrew the police case for peace to reign. The woman has vehemently refused to take her life and kids seriously, but we've done our best. I don't know what her brother did, but I think he spoke to the lady's husband. I remembered seeing her on Thursday when I went to get my son from school. She was waiting to pick up David. I greeted her and offered them a ride. She refused, saying she'll order an O'Trike (Keke Napep that's like Uber).

Well, everybody should dey their own dey. God knows I've tried.

Thank you all for the advice and genuine guidance. For those who were more concerned about my son because of the violence he witnessed, he's fine. He misses playing with David and Sandra, but my network admin has two boys aged 5 and 8 who also hang out in the office after school. At least my son gets to play with them in the conference room. He's happy and I'm keeping him occupied with activities so his mind won't switch on those memories. My husband enrolled him in a new kids' football club and they go to play on Wednesday and Saturday evenings.

The best security a woman can have is her own gainful source of income. If that woman has something doing, I'm not sure she'd go back to an adulterer who beat her with the intent to murder. Women, please be careful with your lives. Think about your kids. If you die, who will look after them? Don't let society pressurize into marrying beasts.
Like I commented in the the first thread, there's no way she was going to leave that man without being sure that she can fend for herself. The only reasonable help you could have offered her was to get any of the women empowerment groups to help her create a viable source of income. Police and elder brother thing is like trying to use PCM to cure malaria — complete waste of time and energy!

And the Gestapo style of law enforcement continues...Can you imagine? Harrassing people without any evidence of crime and then screen them to know who the criminals are. Lawless law enforcers!

What happened to surveillance? I have said it before, catching real criminals is very easy — work with the FBI, CIA, and Google to monitor all emails from the country. Work with the telecommunication companies to monitor all international calls. This way you catch real criminals and not harrassing innocent people on a daily basis.

Harrassing innocent people is evil. What EFCC is doing is EVIL!

It's either you didn't read the comments or you completely missed the point.

The case I laid down there has nothing to do with Nairamaley. I'm talking about Zlatan and the 3 other who were arrested and paraded with Nairamaley, even when they did nothing wrong.

We're able to read about their innocence and eventual release because Zlatan is popular, and the case had a lot of media attention.

There are others like that which we don't hear about because their release and innocence is not announced. The majority of all these guys paraded are innocent — out of 100 arrested, less than 10 are prosecuted.

Lol. Even those boys arrested can't claim they aren't yahoo boys. I don't understand how you feel they will actually clamp down on boys that aren't yahoo boys. This is not a regular street arrest by hungry police o. We are talking of a large scale raid. They will definitely execute that on order and it would be as a result of a prior investigation. We don't need to be petty here. We know some street police harrass innocent men, but effc would not arrest without prior investigation.

We know there are many yahoo boys, even some that have never been arrested by their local police. What makes you think efcc will now be the one to arrest innocent ones when we know effc is a financial crime investigation agency. If it's ordinary police arrest now, your "every boy with laptop" argument will fly. Efcc will not arrest without investigation.
Really?

I have argued with someone like you about this before, and when I proved my point with evidence and established an 80% innocent rate, he ran. 4 out of 5 persons paraded were innocent and yet they're tagged Yahoo boys and paraded — image tarnished for life.

I don't have that time now. I will simply drop the link to that page. Go through my comments there and let me know what you think.

Even in USA their crime agencies avoid arresting big criminals without very substantial evidence(s). The goal is not just arrest, the question is, do u have enough to charge him to court for a winable case? In the Yahoo boys case, arresting them will not back fire,

a yahoo boy misarrest won't get you fired, he doesn't have the power/resources to do that.

You arrested a "Yahoo boy" which is a criminal designation on it's own. But you can't arrest a politician cuz he's a politician, "politician" is a legal designation.

Arresting a Yahoo boy will make the job less lucrative which yet helps us on the long run. We blaming the government is right but youths these days are too greedy. Even when Nigeria had more jobs then, it took some civil servants years to have enough to buy a car. But an average Nigerian youth with a Yahoo mindset wants to drive a Benz at age 17. That's not a no job thing anymore, it's absolute greed.

for every politician you point a finger at for being corrupt, there is *10 top Yahoo boys that are walking free because, he covers his track well.

Finally, "politician" is legal, and fewer (less than 1%) you need more resources to arrest and prosecute just one. Yahoo boys crawls our streets like maggots, with almost a representation in every family and lineage. You think we should just let the trend continue also until no one in the country will do anything legal?
What is your definition of a Yahoo boy? Please I want to know.

They're not winning any soul for Christ; they're simply interested in increasing their tax base. How do you explain 16 Churches in one street (4 of the 16 belong to RCCG) — one street!

Nice one. I wish they can seal the CAC in front of my place. They deny me sleep every Friday night. How can human beings be so insensitive? Using outside loudspeakers at night (from 12 midnight) — that's witchcraftery. I don't believe they're praying to God. God is not deaf that they need mic to talk to him, let alone at night when everywhere is silent.

What they do is definitely not Christianity, it's evil!

Good for you to appreciate where you are coming from in terms of paucity of funds and even better that you do not want to return to that state; trust me, I know what you are talking about and i will give you some suggestions or advice to hold on to.

1. Always remember that it is possible to go back to that state of lack of fund you grew up and use this thought as a motivation never to return to such.

2. PAY YOURSELF FIRST: I don't know how much you earn per month/week but whatever it is; pay yourself first. If you earn 100k /month, before anything, remove 50% and save in an investment account (start with this option: STANBIC Money market can help you here) and build up capital there for future business/investment. Now you might ask yourself can 50% of my money take me till the end of the month? my answer to that is "you never had that money before and you survived till now", trust me it will take you. This money is yours for growth alone. When I was growing like you i was saving 90% of my income until i became very comfortable. I still do ~70% till date and I earn big. I can boldly tell you I own couple of companies now in Lagos and still have over 100M cash in account for someone that started with #0 just about 10years ago.

3. Separate emotions from reality and opinions from fact; this is what people around you will use to get money from you. They will say things like if you do not help them they will die. It is a lie!!!. If you are not alive will they die? Learn to separate reality from peoples opinion or emotions especially about your money.

4. Give yourself financial yearly target and try to hit it through savings/investment/business, e.g tell yourself you want 10M in your account by end of the year and do everything to achieve it; you will be amazed how much you will get. Extend this target to your businesses and everything financial around you.

5. Get a financial mentor; someone you want to be like and try to learn from him/her. You may not have one close to you so just get someone you can get books on and read about how the person made his money and try to replicate it.

6. Start reading books on financial and money matters and how to grow them. it will really help you. start with "The Richest Man in Babylon", try and read it more than once. Then start practicing what is inside you will be amazed.

7. Never try to run a business by proxy; not at this stage, you will loose the money. Do businesses that you can be part of. As you grow you will know when to run by proxy. So if any family member tells you to give him/her money to run a business and you will get returns, do not do that.

8. Always go to financial seminars/workshop or just watch them on youtube if they are expensive for you. The idea here is to stay close to people who want same thing as you and work for it like you do. If you have to change friends to do this, never blink an eye.

I hope with this God willing you should never go back to where you came from. Enjoy the financial growth journey my friend.
Please sir, I'm sent you a DM for mentorship. I thought I was trying hard, but you just slapped my face.

Treasury bills is an option. Access Bank made it easy — you can do with as low as 100k. So, any amount above 100k that you have no use of, you easily send to Treasury bills. Depending on the duration, the interest rate can be 11— 12.5%.
Any time money enters, after removing the one you need for your upkeep, send whatever is left (once it's=>100k) to Treasury bills.

Keep rolling them at maturity and adding more from your income, as usual. Once they are getting big, start converging them to mature about the same period, while you start looking for a safe landed property to move the money into.

There are other good recommendations up there: SIBTC mutual fund and domiciliary account. You can inquire about those two; they look promising.

It's never going to happen! Almost impossible because of the way the contraption is structured. Any attempt will die on the altar of ethnicity and religion! Forget it, Nigeria will die a natural but very agonizing death!
FamilyRe: Wife Battery: Should We Drop Police Case, Though He’s Threatening To Kill Her? by studentofTruth:
computergeek:
So I’ve never actually brought a personal issue to this forum, but this one is beyond me and I don’t know the best course of action to take here. I believe that there are people here who may have had a similar experience or might know what best to do. This may be a bit long.

So there’s this neighbor of mine whom I have an after-school agreement with. She’s a stay-at-home mum with two kids (a nursing baby and a four-year-old) while I have one child (also four). I usually leave my office at 4:00pm, so the agreement is, after-school at 12:30pm, I’ll go pick up the kids (they go to the same school) and return to work while she watches my son for me. I get my son his lunch and snacks before he goes there, even though she’s begged me to stop doing that, but I can’t saddle her with feeding a child that’s not hers.

The issue now is, a lot of violent things have happened in that house and as of this week, my son won’t be returning there. But I fear for the woman. Our homes are separated by a wall, but we often hear the arguing and crying sometimes. I knew she was having marital issues but I didn’t know the extent.

About two weeks ago, I went to get my son from the house and I noticed he wasn’t talking as usual. My son is the very boisterous type who likes to bounce as he walks, and he’ll usually try to take the key from my hand so he’ll open the door himself. That day, he wasn’t talking as usual. He seemed scared and shaken up. I knew the woman would sometimes punish the kids by asking them to kneel down when they fought, but she wouldn’t hit them. I asked him what the issue was, if anyone at school or home had been looking for his trouble, the guy said no.
He’s very close to his father (they are best friends), so when my husband came home I asked him to talk to the boy because he couldn’t choke his food down. After about a while, my son opened up. Apparently, he’d witnessed a very violent beating that he was struggling to find the right words to explain. He said that David’s father had been punching his mother in the passage with two hands at a time, and when she’d tried to run, he brought her back and beat her more. He said that he and David had to hide under the table because they were scared of getting hurt. He then said the mother raised a flower vase and hit him on his head, but the man continued beating her and shouting at her.

I didn’t know what to say. My son had witnessed a violent beating and it traumatized him. We soothed the boy and told him to forget about it. I then knew why the woman didn’t come out to hand him over as she usually did when I went to get him. He just came to me by himself.
The next day, I was skeptical about taking my son back there but he said he doesn’t want to stop playing with David and Sandra (the one-year-old baby). After school, I picked the boys up and drove them home. David’s mom came to the door and her face was badly bruised. I had to ask her what was wrong, but she hurriedly said she fell down and then took the kids from me.

On Friday last week, two days ago, the worst happened. It was around 3:00 or 3:30 when the woman called me at work. I picked the phone up and it was my son. He said that David’s mummy was lying on the floor and wasn’t opening her eyes. He said she was still moving but she couldn’t open her eyes. That blood was coming out her nose and mouth and their daddy had driven away. My heart literally flew out of my chest.

I called my husband as I was driving home and told him to meet us at the hospital. Long story cut short, she was badly battered and torn apart, almost about to give up life. I took her and all the kids to the hospital. While they were cleaning her wounds and hooking her up to the IV, I sorted out the bills. My husband tried to reach out to hers but he was rejecting the calls, so he went to make a statement at the area police command. They told us to contact them once she wakes up to give her statement. The police doesn’t usually like to dabble into marital issues but the woman was disfigured beyond imagination.

Sadly, you won’t believe what she said when she came to after a few hours. She started begging us to not report to anybody and not even call her family. That she’ll refund us the hospital bills and we should just call her friend that lives in New Haven to come and look after her. She was trying to protect the beast that had beaten her and left her for dead. We tried to reason with her because the man would certainly kill her sooner or later. She said he’s her husband and the father of her kids, bla bla bla. She told us that she’d been confronting him about a girl he’d been gallivanting openly with him, and that’s been the cause of all their issues.

She told me to use my number and call her husband because he doesn’t have me as a contact. I called him and told him the wife he tried to kill was in the hospital. He told me that she had better remain there because he’ll kill her if she ever comes near his house again. He hung up on me. She’s still insisting that he doesn’t mean it and she must go back once she’s discharged.

The issue now is, should we withdraw the police report or take the case up? The woman’s life is in danger and she doesn’t seem to understand the seriousness of her situation, writing it off as momentary anger. I don’t know why women choose to remain in these violent situations even when they have children to live for. She’s not even thinking about her one-year-old who has been with me all weekend.

Mature advice is needed here. Pease push to front page. I don’t know if we’ll be overstepping our boundaries by trying to help her.
My dear, the reasons for wanting to go back to the man is staring you at the face — surprised you couldn't see it.

You stated it in your write up — 2nd sentence in the 2nd paragraph!

To help her, you must give her a way out — A source of income (job, business, etc) and an accommodation. I hope you can find any of those women empowerment groups that can help out — obviously, you can't do it alone.

Find those women group to help out in this two areas. Once, she's sure that she can fend for herself, she wouldn't need anyone to convince her!

A woman without a source of income is a danger unto herself and will never be valued by her husband.

Living in denial or hoping on hopelessness isn't patriotism. The real act of patriotism is identifying the problems and finding real solutions to them. The country is structurally faulty — the foundation is inherently shaky. Instead of looking for the right solutions, they are there buying SUV for themselves, even when it's obvious the economy cannot sustain such a lavish lifestyle. Rather than cut on their exorbitant wages, they resort to taxing the already impoverished masses — imagine the level of wickedness.

Nigeria is a dangerous time bomb. The population is rising badly, unfortunately, many in southern Nigeria are taking up family planning to control birth while northern Nigeria has no hope for that. Unfortunately, they keep determining who rules Nigeria due to her unproductive population. Then southern Nigeria is a useless region with weak leaders who care only about what enters their pockets. From every indication, the masses in Southern Nigeria work to feed the entire country. The current system of govt will not allow u and I to protest. Those who could have agitated for this have been pocketed with lucrative deals. People like ur top celebrities, they give them lucrative deals, shares, assets, they just shut up and enjoy the money. My bro, if u have ur way, leave naija. The country has no hope. The country is dead! It will get worse. An Assistant commissioner of police was kidnapped yesterday on his way to Jos. That is how bad it has become. Population is rising, no infrastructure, the country runs a useless system of govt that makes the central too powerful, and the states weaker. The states who are supposed to fight to get a better system of govt since the states are closer to the people have refused to talk since their various governors get too rich while in govt.
I totally agree with you. What the masses don't know is that the politicians and the celebrities are already planning for the inevitable — those of them with sense don't born their children here. Their children have double citizenship.

I have always said it, the greatest act of wickedness to unborn children is to born them Nigerians.

As for Southern leaders, they are blind to the reality — it's a matter of time before the northerners overrun and dominate them in their homeland. The north is already overpopulated because of their lack of population control, and they're still breeding like rabbits. Naturally, they will move down south in search of living spaces — a natural process, irrespective of any islamization agenda. This is why you see them packed in trucks moving down south.

With overpopulation, dwindling economy, and clueless leadership, it's a matter of when, and not if, this house of card will come crashing. Sadly, it may happen sooner than expected!

Psoul:
Well, my dear, I truly knw that your question was not really to build ur spiritual faith. You were asking just to twist the Bible a little.
Now let me clear you here.
God never created Adam and Eve to turn around to punish them. It is just like saying that God created Judas to betray Jesus and still God turned around to punish him.

The fact is that There is Satan in this world. So long as there is the existence of Satan here, bad things are bound to happen. Now, do God destine any man in particular to accomplish the bad thing? No...He will never do that. God created everyone with living conscience. He gives every man total freedom to chose between bn good or bn bad.

So God created Adam and Eve to enjoy and live happily in the Garden, they made their choice and god God offended. Just like in the case of Judas. The duty of betraying Christ was not handed over to Judas. It was available for anyone that will allow himself to be used by Satan. God knows that if He sends His son, Satan will like to kill him so that the mission will not yield fruit not knowing that killing Him will make it yield fruit faster. So Judas availed himself for that job. It could have bn anyone else.

Let me give u a practical example. Let's assume u are a student. You have a good looking smartphone. U know that if you leave ur phone unattended to in an open class, it will be stolen by someone. You want to know some of those students stealing ppl's stuff. Probably, u want to shame them to deter others.
Now, u drop ur phone in that empty class. God to somewhere and hide. U will be watching ppl coming and leaving the class. Some will come, see the phone and go their way. Someone who will allow himself to be used by Satan will take the phone, switch it off and convert it to his. If u catch this person and punish him/her, will I be right to say that you destined that person to steal ur phone?
You did not, but among many, he/she allowed him/herself to be used by Satan.
There's no answer to that question without diminishing any of the four attributes of God, according to Christian teaching: omniscience, omnipotence, omnipresence, and infinitely loving. Logically speaking, it's impossible to possess all the four attributes, but God transcends logic.

That God loves each person infinitely is a scam!
God's love for each individual is only to the extent that the person a part of His game — just the way a farmer loves his tool; a pharmacist loves his laboratory rats; or an embryologist loves the cells he's using for his research.

So, Adam and Eve were tools to achieve His aim, knowing fully well that they'll lose their usefulness and be discarded. Likewise, Judas was used to achieve the crucifixion — He even pointed to him and asked him to hasten his betrayal plans.
His game, His rules! You and I are pawns in His game — we just have to be royal pawns!

Additional Tax made Lebanese youths to enter streets. The worse mistake Nigeria ever made was unitary system of govt. It is so hard to protest in Nigeria becus it will surely have ethnic sentiment attached. This is why govt is always having a free day to behave as they like. The shits we take in Nigeria, many citizens in other countries cant take them.

We are tax yet we lack basic everything of life: we dont have electricity, we work so hard to supply alternative electricity for our selves while politicians enjoy electricity using tax payers money for fuel, generator and diesel, both at home and offices. They also get paid for using tax payers money. They even get hardship allowance on top using tax payers money to flex.

We dont even have water, Nigerians dig their own water by them selves. And someone said here that I have low self esteem for saying the reality about Nigeria compared to her mates. Politicians will continue to have a free day while they mess around. Get ready becus more of our girls will prostitute while many youths will take to crime.
Your first paragraph is the reason I gave up on Nigeria. The country has no hope. I repeat, the country has no hope! Anybody thinking that Nigeria will get better one day is delusional!

The foundation is faulty! It's either it's restructured, or one day, it will collapse, like the house built on sand. Unfortunately, it will happen in our lifetime — by 2050, the population will be between 400 and 500 million.

"claps ITS hands" Never 'HIS' hands

we know metaphor, 'He', used by Christ to explain the Holy Spirit can never pass for a metaphor.

As christians, we believe that God knows everything even before it is concieved...God we believe knows the end from the beginning.

so I want to ask...If you agree with me that God knows everything, does it means that He knew that Adam and Eve would fail Him??..if yes, then why create them just to purnish them?..if He is truly a loving God, then why create men just to purnish them since He knew they will fail Him??

this question is really perturbing me and it's affecting my faith...
note: my dad is a pastor...I've asked this question several times but none has given me a satisfactory answer
We have been there!
