Goodevening mamas, trust everyone is doing fine...i want to know if anyone at all has this cervical incompetence issue...if yes please what did u do about it ....did u put a cerclage or are u on bedrest or progesterone....i did a scan today (14wks and 4days)and my cervix is measuring 2.7cm. Doc said is short for 14wks....i am meant to measure atleast 3.5 to 4.5cm until I certain time when the cervix naturally starts to thin out to prwpare for labour....am on duphaston and vasoprin. And am given 4 weeks to decide on putting a cerclage or not. Honest advice needed...especially from sum1 with an experience on this cervix matter....

Good morning teamie, I don’t personally have experience on cerclage but from others experiences I’d say cerclage is the way to go. Do consider it.

I got to the hospital at 5am and had my daughter at 6:22am with less drama. 2.6kg

Yes o, we've graduated away from the first trimester horror film and strength is gradually returning.

As for hormonal disruption, hmmmm... I had horrible first trimester for both my two boys, so... For my second, my sonographer confirmed his gender at 14 weeks. During that pregnancy I learned that sonographer pass sonigrapher. Some are learning and some know the work.

Whether na baby dey kick whether na gas dey dance... Something sha use to happen when hubby touches the tummy.

God continue to keep us all in good health.

But capo we're in week 16 o. Abi no be awi two gather carry the same EDD?

Just affirms the ‘all pregnancies are different’ statements o...no one rule. Cos with my son eh, my skin was glowing, no MS etc....I sure hope this is a girl sha cos I’m hanging boot afterwards. I think I found out about my son early too cos I took coke before the scan and he was moving a lot.
We are actually in our 16th week although my app calculates weeks completed so it confuses me small

Am so sad typing diz, i lost a co-worker. She was told by her doctor dat she can't deliver her baby through d vaginal but she didn't listen or she was thinking of d money involved in having a CS, she ran 2 a local mid-wife and in d course of trying 2 push out a big baby she gave up d ghost, d last time i saw her she wasn't looking healthy, she looks like someone whose pcv was very low. I am so coz baby was 2 b her first kid.
We should always listen 2 our doctors, her death was avoidable, when it comes 2 life we shouldn't joke with it, even if it means 2 borrow, 2morrow is making her a week she left mother earth...

May her soul Rest In Peace, Amen.

It’s quite saddening when avoidable deaths like this occur due to negligence, fear, religion/beliefs or just sheer stupidity..
Until scientists create a delivery pod that is totally independent of the woman and her life, the onus is on us women to ensure we come out of this journey ALIVE regardless of the mode of delivery...a successful supernatural delivery is one with mother and child alive. Don’t wait for your husband to ‘give permission’ if the doctor says a CS will save your life...or start thinking of running away from delivery cos you want to save money, if something happens it’s the same money he’d use to marry another wife. Your life and health is your priority!!!

Lol, The plan is to try to avoid scan so I will not be tempted to find out.

This one will not fully work cos you’d have to do at least one scan (anomaly)...but tell the sonographer before they start that you don’t want to know the gender and hopefully they wouldn’t mistakenly say it

Cappo, present oh. My night shenanegans is definitely fading...I feel stronger and I am controlling nausea/vomitting with the ginger my mum loaded in my kitchen and the Metoclopramide given to me in the hospital. I registered for antenatal 3 days ago and got my first TT shot too. I told hubby that I felt a fluttery movement in my tummy a few days ago and he did not believe as he thinks its too early! So happy you are affirming it

By the way, I am with you on the gender curiosity...during my scan 3 days ago I was asking the sonographer if he could not just TRY and do the amebo for me I am jealousing your oza room energy oh. It's the last thing on my mind these days as I am still taking much effort to even keep my food down.

Good thing the nausea is easing off, ginger really helped me during those first few weeks.
The sonographers wouldn’t tell you unless they’re absolutely sure so they don’t get into trouble if the gender is different from what they previously said
I’ve only just finished my progesterone inserts so ozza room activity hasn’t fully resumed

Cappo thanks for checking. Currently 15wks+, doing well even though morning (abi full day) sickness has not fully gone but it has lessened a lot, the one I'm most happy to be rid of is the spit thing, glad that one's over.
I'm planning to register for antenatal on Wednesday so that's progress.
Me I can't wait to start feeling baby's kick o, as a FTM I know it might still be some wks before I start feeling it.

Sorry dear, hopefully MS will start to ease off soon. Soon the kicks will be so strong you’d definitely know it’s your baby kicking.

Thank you for checking up on us. I registered for antenatal last week. Morning sickness is still there but so much better than the earlier stage. I get severe back and hips pain sometimes but I guess it is part of the journey. Patiently waiting to feel my baby kicks and have decided I want to be surprised by the sex at birth. So I guess I’m Team Green.

Thank goodness your feeling better, by the time you’re fully in second trimester you’d even forget you’re pregnant. The kicking is going on already but as a ftm you wouldn’t really know what you’re expected to feel until the kicks get much stronger. Noted, I’m putting you down as team green (but I salute your courage my curiosity will nearly kee mi)

I am in my 12th week, I can't explain how I feel most times but it's not palatable at all. Always pouring spit non stop, nai tire me pass. TT injection starts from 4months that's from about 16th week. I don't know how I'll cope till January. God dey

Pele, by the end of the 13th week into week 14 you should begin to feel better As that’d be start of your second trimester. Noted about the TT injection, thanks

YES!! PCOS is a small issue that can be treated with medication and she’d conceive but the couple have to both see a gynecologist immediately and start treatment so she can conceive (and hopefully the fibroids don’t grow back).

Good afternoon Jan for supernatural delivery mamas. Hope you all are doing ok? We should be in our 15,14,13,12th weeks already...has morning sickness fully passed? Hope we have all registered for antenatal or at least doing so this week? I don’t remember when the TT injections are supposed to start so please if you are a ftm register not later than 12 weeks so you both can be fully monitored..I took all my 5TT shots in my first pregnancy but I’ve been told I’d be getting a booster shot in this pregnancy too, maybe because the last one is over 2yrs old.
I felt my baby kick for the first time last week and I got emotional ...it was fluttery like butterflies inside my tummy but it felt good. Can’t wait for the visible kicks to start so my son can see them too. I also can’t wait to do a gender scan (although I have a feeling it’s a girl cos I heard it’s girls that usually disrupt their mothers hormones this much), I’d find out later this week
I’ve begun to regain myself, no more nausea/headaches etc _{and my horniness is out of this world}

Good morning to you all.
Please i am confused on an issue and i know you are the only one that can actually help me.

My wife is 36 weeks pregnant and we are already prepared for Delivery with all items intact..
According to scans and checkup by the hospitals as well as that of my mother-in-law who happens to be a retired matron/midwife. We might likely have big baby (size of current baby in the womb is likely bigger than the expected) and the fact that baby might not come till 40weeks might be a little bit tough for the mother to deliver vaginally which calls for my little concern.

Firstly, we are ruling out CS, yeah i know it's safe these days but we are not subscribing for that.

Her mom gave us the option of Induction before 40weeks which is exactly why am here.

my fears and questions are...

My understanding about induction is that it is done when a baby wouldnt come after 40 weeks, can it be done earlier? (Lets say 37/38th week)

Has anyone here done anything like this before?

How safe is induction. Are there any risk involved?

Is it advisable?

Migraines. I will get PCM, I was told it isn’t safe for early pregnancy that’s why I didn’t use it..Now I know better. Thanks a lot

I don't take medication for migraines tho. I just stay in a dark room, no noise, no lights, no phones and put a wet clothes over my eyes and sleep it off...but thankfully I've not had any so far during pregnancy.
But if yours frequent, take pcm.. acetaminophen is safe in pregnancy

Are you having migraines or just constant headaches?
Migraines are headaches that usually affect one part of the head but comes with either nausea, sensitivity to light and sound. painkillers don't work for it.
Pcm works for normal headaches and is safe in pregnancy

I am 38weeks and 2days. I just feel baby kick up and down. Yes I have to make the walk a habit now.

I was here some time ago ttc for baby #1. It wasn't an easy journey. I was depressed. God finally answered my prayers and I was able to conceive. I was delivered of a baby few months ago. The reason why it took me too long to come forward was because I was trying not to get too excited till I deliver (the first pregnancy ended in miscarriage). So throughout the 9 months, I was scared. But glory be to God who made me a Mother today.

My bp is fine, at least the last time I checked.....my main problem is insomnia and I think it's the cause of the headaches.

Good morning. Please remember you can conceive with one tube as long as all other stuff are good. Just ensure you're ovulating and dh's swimmers are good.

Good evening , please don't anyone know any remedy to reduce the pain for external Hemorrhoids ? My wife has it and she's pregnant. Doctor said she should take vegetables, drink water and she has been using anusol ointment but she's been in discomfort all day. Please does any one have any suggestions ?

She can sit in warm water to help ease the pain.
